Air Transat resumes flights to London Gatwick, and Portugal too MONTREAL — Air Transat has resumed its flights to the UK, on A321neoLR aircraft. The airline’s flight from Toronto to London Gatwick on Sept. 15 kicked off the much-anticipated resumption of services between the two gateways. Air Transat will initially be flying three times weekly from Toronto to London Gatwick. The airline has also announced it will be resuming its flights from Toronto to Manchester starting Oct. 19, earlier than originally planned. Meanwhile direct flights from Toronto to Glasgow are set to resume on Dec. 15. Air Transat’s brand new A321neoLR has the lowest environmental impact in its class, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Air Transat has also resumed operations between Canada and Portugal, with roundtrip flights launching last week following months of temporary suspension due to COVID-19. Two roundtrip flights departed last week from Montreal to Lisbon (TS318 and TS319) and Toronto to Porto (TS744 and TS745). Air Transat now offers two direct flights per week from Montreal to Lisbon and from Toronto to Porto. Direct flights from Toronto to Faro are set to begin on Jan. 18. This winter, Air Transat will by flying to nearly 50 destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, the United States and Europe.
