ID Theft and Cyber Security PLUC - Thursday, September 6 – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Understanding identity theft and cyber-security can be a challenge even for the most computer literate. Katrina F. Boyer, PA Department of Banking and Securities Outreach Liaison, reviews how identities are stolen and what to do if you become a victim. She also discusses how to use the Internet safely, creating “strong passwords,” and keeping devices in tip-top condition to protect your financial and personal information. Master Gardener: Spotted Lanternfly PLUC - Tuesday, September 25 – 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm Learn about the Spotted Lanternfly, an invasive planthopper, who has been discovered in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It is native to China, India, Vietnam, and introduced to Korea where it has become a major pest. This insect has the potential to greatly impact the grape, hops and logging industries. Early detection is vital for the protection of Pennsylvania businesses and agriculture.
