Hi my name is Bryant Groff. I am an 11 year old athlete from Mifflinburg. My favorite sports are basketball, football, and soccer. I also love to read! I like checking out books at the Laurelton library because the librarians are kind, helping, and friendly. I like doing the summer reading program because there are fun events at the library and prizes for people that read a certain amount of pages or books.

Nathan Sutter has just moved to a new town. He tries to get rid of some bullies that like to pick on Summer, Trevor, and Pigeon and they all become friends. Later they get involved with a magician named Belinda White. They help her get things in exchange for magic candy until they find she’s up to no good. It’s up to them to try to stop her from obtaining a cup of water from the fountain of youth because then she will take over the town. I really enjoyed this book because it has a lot of action without gore or scary parts. I liked when they got to try new magic candy because each candy gave them a different ability. I would recommend this book to any kids.

Geronimo Stilton is off on another fur raising adventure in Geronimo Stilton: The Way of the Samurai. Geronimo and his friends take a journey to Japan to recover a piece of parchment that holds the secret of karate. I really liked this book because there is a lot of action and karate parts and it is a book perfect for all ages. Nathan Sutter is up against another evil wizard in The Candy Shop War: Arcade Catastrophe by Brandon Mull. Nate and his friends need to stop a wizard named Jonas White who wants to get a object to control the world. He tries to trick Nate and his friends into helping him. They keep waiting for the perfect time to strike, but it never comes. I enjoyed this book because it has tons of action, no gore, and no scary parts I would recommend this book to anyone who likes magic and adventure. I would also recommend other series’s by Brandon Mull. Such as Fablehaven and Spirit Animals.
