West End Library Adult Programs We have some really great programs here at the West End Library, with something to interest just about everyone!

West End Readers

West End Readers meets monthly to discuss our Books of the Month. Recent selections include: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo and The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. We have read books from the romance genre for Valentine’s Day, and gardening-themed books for Spring. Our pick for May is from the military genre; historical fiction or non-fiction in honor of Memorial Day. One of our favorite books was A Man Called Ove by Swedish author Fredrik Backman. We liked the book so much that when the West End Library acquired the movie, we enjoyed Foreign Film Night, and watched the movie inspired by the book.

West End Crafters

This is a very popular program that meets on the second and fourth Friday of the month. Our group includes crafters who knit, crochet, cross-stitch, quilt and color. Anyone is welcome to join us with their favorite craft.

Upcoming Programs • Horseshoe Crabs “Living Fossils” • Saturday, May 13 at 11am A short presentation by John Heuges on these amazing creatures that appear once a year only on the coast of the Delaware Bay and nearby shore resorts. • 101 Ways to Nurture Yourself and Tea Saturday, September 3 at 1:00 pm • Fall Birding - Saturday, September 9 & 16 at 11:00 am So why not stop by today and check out our collection of the latest bestsellers?
