“Let the experience of today be your splash of color on your canvas on your life At this moment life is a considerably complex passage of finding ones true self on a journey through high school. Everyday friendships, memories, schoolwork, and extracurricular activities take part in molding ones future self. Although it may seem like a drag on certain days, and those fist clenched inducing summatives are a hassle, in the ending educations all worth it. What all the titans this 2016-2017 school year have done will forever leave a mark on this schools campus. They will be like little secrets left behind for each and every student stepping foot on campus, none of which will ever be forgotten. In life, and especially in todays society with so many worries and problems occurring across the world its important to hold on to the bright moments that occur day to day. That is exactly what this yearbook has strived to capture, the splashes of color that students have left at University.
Theme Opening 2
One Team One Dream Sweat makes the green grass grow.
Content and photography by Alexzandra Pichardo Adrenaline courses through his veins, the soft vibrant green grass crushes beneath his shoes , and the sounds of the crowd cheering him on along with the low puffs of breaths that he takes all propel him towards his one and only goal of a touchdown. He musters all his energy and with the strategic placement of the other team members they plummet their way through the barricade of human bodies opposing them. “I love coaching football because when I see the faces of these young men filled with happiness it makes me so proud. I wish the best for every single one of these players,” coach William Wilber said. This years the colors have changed for our football team. Going through the seasons without one lost, they’ve completely captivated all the opposing teams with countless touchdowns,

tackles, and teamwork. These players have spent hours practicing after school on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays. During those countless hours in the sweltering sun these players have done drills that cover feet speed, running back to touchdowns, and even breathing techniques. “This year these practices have kicked my behind. I’ve never felt more drained, but the feeling afterwards is indescribable. It leaves you feeling so much better about yourself,” senior running back Jackson Taylor said. Overall this year has been exciting on and off the field. The stands have been filled with itty bitty pieces of confetti, leftover sugar treats, and memories that will forever be in these students minds. The stands and cheerleaders have been a crucial part of the football world. The athletic trainers have made sure to help out the football players
this year. “We’ve made posters, goody bags for the players, and we’ve spent days at brunches with them. I’ve grown to love the players like my own family,” trainer Kris McFlurey said. All in all for our football team, this year the hard work has played off. These players have been the first team in our history to make it to the playoffs. They beat out the opposing team, the seminoles, with a whopping 47-35 points. It is a year for the books, splashing some victorious orange color into our year, for many future teams to look up to. “I am still in disbelief that we won the playoffs, especially my last year here. I wouldn’t want this year to go any differently, I am so thankful to all my team mates and especially my coaches. I love you all,” senior number 20 Nyjel Shipman said.
Titan Up
During quarter one the cheerleaders hype up the football players with their handmade poster board, and cheers from the sidelines. “I love football games, and I love preforming for the players and the people in the stands. I’ll never forget the memories I’ve made on these fields,” freshman Emily Baker said.
Green light
Starting back from halftime, referee Mike Jones gives the team members an assuring thumbs up as they commence another play at the 5 yard line. “The seconds before a play starts are super intense because everyone’s focused on their next move, and it builds up so much adrenaline in my body,” junior Kaleb Petry said.
Crossing the line
After senior running back number 23 Devonte Harmon dashed his way towards the 20 mark line, the opposing Seminole team members junior Lavon Martin number 68, and sophomore Lewis Manning number 23 tackled him. “There is no other place I would rather be than on that field making my teammates and parents proud by making a touchdown,” Harmon said.
All eyes on Us
Running to a quick team huddle, the university team members keep their heads held high and spirits even higher as they work hard for the win. “My favorite part of any game is the ending when things are the most intense and we walk of the field with the win, and leave a memory in history,” sophomore Hakeem Grooms said.
Push Ups
As a team all the cheereleaders warmup for their performance during half time. “Half-time is hands down my favorite time to perform, I love the energy from the crowd and the players. It makes me smile just thinking about it,” freshman Milla Picklo said.

Playoff History For the score
With two minutes left on the scoreboard sophomore wide receiver number 17 Tevin Rivera leaps to catch the football before opposing Seminole team member Michael Gains number 5 can block it. “Football demands so much physical strength, but it’s all worth it when you feel that ball in your hands and all the people from school screaming your number out,” Rivera said.
1,2 Hut
The crowds held their breath as the Seminole team began to hut the ball into the last minutes of the fourth quarter. “Being on that field every game has changed my entire outlook on life. It makes me feel like I am apart of something so much bigger and better,” sophomore Taylor Nator said.
