Like the stars in the sky, there is a connection between all of us. Through all of our differences and unique qualities, whether we’re better at math, or music, or reading; whether we like to lead, or whether we enjoy being in the crowd; we are all different stars, that make up a wonderful constellation in the night sky. Throughout our year, we have persevered on through the good and bad. WE have survived and here we see the fruits of our success. Here we can consume everything that has happened this year, all at once. Everyone is seen equally in this sky; in this crazy constellation we call life. There have been so many events this year that so many of us have seen and experienced. Our constellation, our community has made a point to record these events. to put it down on paper and help us remember. This is our recorder. Through the chaos, there is order. When you first look up at the night sky, you only see a jumble of stars; a chaotic, crazy, jumble of stars. But only through analyzing and imagination that we can start to see the images, the constellations that form. We have been through 3 seasons of sports, and a crazy amount of club events. But all of them link up to one great school year, highly worthy of documentation. Sports: Football, volleyball., baseball, and even sports like color guard and powder puff; they were all a huge deal to us. The arts: Including theatre, band and chorus, but also pottery, painting, and drawing, they all put on events that were highly successful during the year. Academics: certainly the most important things, as it is the reason we all come every day. The academic teams helped us go far and achieve what we wanted this year. Some days, we might feel like we are insignificant. We might feel as if we are just one star in a huge galaxy, not worth anything and lost in the crowd. But without stars, how would we get a constellation. Without each and every star, the constellation wouldn’t fit. We are all part of one big project, one big galaxy, and one beautiful constellation that keeps us all together. Enjoy.

Roger Rabbits surprises the other teammember when he launchwed himself into the air to cath the ball. “That jump was amzing; I had no idea that I could do that until that night,” Rabbits said. As a carried tradition, every time the Rays score a point, the cheerleaders have to do pushups. “It actually helps train us, and we have a lot of fun doing it,” senior Cindy Lupin said.

4 “I always went to the games to cheer on my friends and to have a good time,” senior Chrisitna Ferrara said.

“Being in the croud and having this supportive atmosphere was really the highlight of the games,” junior Charles Angston said.

“Football is a huge part of my life and I’m glad I got to go to so many games this year,” senior Ryan Etchison said.

“I had so much fun during the games; I cant wait until I can do it again next year,” sophomore Sara Vestin said.

As he runs down the feild with equal amounts of grace and power, senior Jack Cool gets in position to catch the ball. “You wouldn’t believe how much fun it was to be out there on the field,” Cool said. The ball comes down fast in these games, and sophomore Gami Headers has to act quick in order to catch it. “I got a few really good runs this year, and I loved every second of it,” Headers said.

The players lined up in their final

1 game, waiting for the hike, and

concentrating on what they were going to do. “It’s really intense out on the field; you really have to focus,” junior Bebe Jula said. 2 As the ball was hiked, senior Jose Shortman readied himself for the run. “The beginning pf the play is always the most nervewracking,” Shortman said. 3 In order to make a play successful, you must have been ready at all times like junior Jordan Baker was showing. “You can be really nervous at first, but as the game goes on, you’re ready for anything,” Baker said. 4 The crowd cheers on at the Rays’ homecoming game in New Symerna. “Tons of people showed up at the homecoming game; it was amazing,” sophomore Darla Staffer said.

The intense heat, the dripping sweat, the uber bright lights, the screaming of the crowds. Any and all of these could be found at one of the Ray’s football games in the 2015-2016 school year. 2016 was arguably one of the most successful years in football for the Rays since the opening of the school. The players worked harder than ever to achieve their record scores of 10-2. “We practiced for hours every day, it was really intense,” junior Angelo Perez said. However, the football players said, that in their games, it was really the crowd that kept them going. “You could literally feel the energy coming from the crowd, and it was super encouraging,” senior George Lopez said. Every game, there was a crowd of supporters, cheering on the players. Every time a run was made, or a touchdown was achieved, the sound from the crowd could almost be deafening. In truth, this cheering most likely disconcerted the opposing team, lowering their morale making it that much easier for the Rays to succeed. “I loved that the crowd was there cheering us on; at one point I could overhear the other players talking saying ‘why are they so loud?’ and it felt good,” senior Andrew Michealangelo said. Nothing could bring these players down, not even their nemesis team the Bengals. They played against the Bengals their homecoming game, and not for one second did they let those Bengal’s bad attitudes get to them. “At some points they would yell and taunt us on the field; it was actually kind of scary, but we always played our best no matter what,” sophomore Julian Dangas said. When the end of the season came around, it was a bittersweet moment for everyone in the school. This season was full of wonderful fans and even more wonderful players, and with the tip of the hat to districts, the players came home content with their wins. “I loved playing this year; I don’t think there were any instances where we could’ve tried harder or done harder; in my eyes it was really the best year for football for us,” senior Andrew Micealangelo said. As for the crowds, the thing they’ll miss the most is the unification between everyone at the games. Everyone on those bleachers, all rooting for one team, for one game. It’s the kind of thing you’d only find at a high school football game. “Everyone had such energy; it was a lot of fun being in such a loud crowd, all cheering for the team,” freshman Emily Hennah said. When it’s all said and done, the most important part was that people had fun. And fun they had. “This year was definitely way more fun than the other years; I feel like this year, the players really wanted to win, like they were really using their potential,” senior Jacob Culley said.
