The End Zone
The football players give everything they have on the field
Cleats digging in the ground, figuring out the opponent’s next move and keeping the ball in their vision is the players only thoughts. Once their cleats hit the field every thought leaves their mind except the orders they were given from coach. The loud cheers the crowd makes turns into a low background noise as the team focuses on the task at hand: get the ball to the end zone. “Stepping out on the field you have to give it your all… You have to try and focus on the present and what is in front of,” wide receiver junior Matthew Braden said. Hard work and dedication is something all the players have to have in order to achieving success. Coach Michael made drills for the boys to work on their teamwork at training camp. Coach Michael believed they had really came together and were able to bond as a team that would succeed during the season. “I learned a lot about myself through my football career, from little league all the way through college, and I want to help guide these boys through this sport. That is why I became a coach,” Coach Jorden said.

The drive and passion the boys have on the field keep them going through their worst moments and their best moments. The team gave their best every game they played to make everyone proud and to make themselves proud. The team walked out on the field together with their head in the game ready to play the game they love and share a passion for. “Walking out on the field like it’s my last time it motivates me to play and work harder for myself, my family and my team,” linebacker senior Julio Rodriguez said. As the school year comes to a close students reflect on the season remembering cheering in the student section with friends, screaming at the refs for poor calls and laughing when Maximus would dance. Students always drove to different fields to show their support to their football team. At the end of the game no matter the outcome everyone understood they did their best and the students were always proud of the players. “ I am proud of you!” Coach Michael yelled to his team and everyone agreed.

SPRINT Junior Andrew Rogers runs to the other side of the field to take his position for the quarterback to know to throw the ball to him. “If I don’t get to where I need to quickly the whole plan can go very badly,”
WATCH THE BALL Senior Kaden Scott keeps the ball in his site the whole game. “Me being in my senior year I want to prove to colleges and myself that i can take this to pros,” Scott said.
PUMP UP THE CROWD Junior Tony Jackson leads the team out on the field with out flag to pump up everyone in the stands. “We all have a part on this team and mine that night was to get the players head in the game and the people in the stands help with that,” Jackson said.
HEAD BUTT The team put their all in the game in order to tae the win back home. “We work together to make each other a better player and a better person and if one member is losing their touch we all are.“ junior Aaron Ramirez said.
The Ref’s Call HOLDING When the Ref clasps his hands together like Ricky Bobby the ref is saying that a player is holding the ball to long.
