olywood is one of Northern Ireland’s most vibrant towns, boasting stunning seaside views and a bustling business community. On the high street you will find a range of local shops, cafés and restaurants to fit all your needs. The town is well known for its historic Maypole, which has stood in the middle of Holywood for 400 years and is the only Maypole in Ireland. If you are out and about in Holywood you may also spot the ‘Johnny the Jig’ statue, which was gifted to the town by local sculptress Sophia Rosamond Praeger in 1953.
