Employability is embedded in everything we do. We aim to equip our students with the knowledge, skills and confidence for life beyond university. Our staff provide impartial advice and guidance to support you with your personal and professional development.

Careers fairs and networking events are held throughout the year and provide you with an opportunity to connect with local, national and international organisations.

As a postgraduate student you can use FutureMe, an interactive 24/7 online career development learning platform, providing all the career preparation tools you’ll need to move forward and succeed in planning your future, as well as a job board to connect you to hundreds of opportunities daily.

We offer a variety of initiatives and activities to develop your employability. Some are accredited, appearing on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) when you graduate, demonstrating your achievements to potential employers.

We also know it’s not just about getting a job, and our start-up and freelance support package is open to all postgraduate students, providing an innovative and creative environment for students to learn more about business and enterprise skills. From business and marketing plans, through to taking your idea to market, we can help you at every step of the way to start your business, or begin building your freelance portfolio.
