Once you have a clear idea about your research topic, the type of research degree you’d like to apply for and a potential supervisor, you can start the application process. We would strongly recommend speaking to your potential supervisor before applying, particularly if you are self-funding. To find a supervisor visit the Huddersfield Research Portal.
Many students fund their own postgraduate study, however we sometimes offer Research Scholarships. To be considered for a scholarship, please include the type of scholarship you are interested in on your application form. There are also specific funded research projects you may want to consider. Doctoral loans may be available for eligible students, please check the UK Government website.
To apply, please complete an online research degree application form. Typically you’ll be required to submit a research proposal alongside your application, unless you are applying for a specific funded project. Guidance on applying for a research degree is available online. Ensure you check the deadline dates on the course page before applying.
