HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WE HOPE YOU GUYS HAD A SPECIAL DAY! OK

UNLV CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL

This was such a fun activity for all the members who attended. Going into this event I didn't think I would be singing, but with this being karaoke I was eventually asked to sing a song with a friend of mine and it was so fun. Everyone in the club did such a good job at singing and I was amazed by the amount of talent there was in that room. Besides actually singing, I loved being able to cheer on for everyone else and bop my head along with the great music everyone was choosing to sing along to. Overall the atmosphere was super comforting and I was able to sing without any judgement which made the experience so enjoyable.

KARAOKE NIGHT FUNDRAISER BY DANA DIMZON

Oh my gosh, karaoke night was so fun. There wasn’t a single minute that everyone was not vibing to the music. Almost everyone was able to get up and sing and everyone’s song selections were so good. GoGo Karaoke was incredibly nice. They even gave us free French fries while we were there. It definitely did not feel like 2 hours that we were there, and honestly, we probably could’ve gone longer. I can’t wait until we can get to go again

DCON BY NELLY NAVARRO

UNLV CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL

DCON was such a fun learning experience for me! I really got to take the time and truly list out my concerns for the future of our district aloud, Something that I would have never had the courage to do years ago. It truly has shown me how much I have grown as a member and in confidence! What makes me especially happy is that one of my close friends in key club who was in the Division Leadership Team with me was able to get elected as District Secretary, and I am now going to be working closely with her again. Coincidentally, she also has the same last name as me, so the funniest thing is when Ryan Tan, our District Governor, was going to announce her valid election, he accidentally said my name instead of hers LOL. Also, the food was really good, and it was nice to sleep in a nice comfy bed. I lowkey passed out trying to watch Total Drama Island with everyone the final night there lol. But, I'm glad I got to experience it and I'm glad I ended up going!

DCON BY DANA DIMZON

UNLV CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL

DCON was one of my favorite CKI events ever. There are very few times that we at UNLV get to hang out with our friends and counterparts in other schools since we’re down here in Nevada, but seeing everyone just made the whole trip worth it. We stayed at the Westin Hotel in LAX and it was super nice. Thankfully we had a bit of downtime to relax and catch up on sleep. My favorite part of the whole weekend was bindi bc with everyone in one room and watching Total Drama Island on Netflix. This was the best event to wrap up the year.

DCON BY MARICELA MENDOZA-DIAZ

This was my first DCON and I can say that it was one of the best CKI experiences I've had so far. Driving all the way to California and back is pretty exhausting but having interesting conversations and listing to good music along the way makes it bearable. The actual event itself also made the driving worth it, I loved being able to meet and talk to new people from across CNH and even get to know the people in my own club better. When we weren't going to workshops, I liked being able to bond with the other members, especially when we binged TV shows at night in the hotel rooms. Aside from the actual event, I just need to say the hotel rooms were great, and the food was even better. During the general sessions, we also adopted a new style of cheering for our club and division whenever we were called on stage, which was to bark and it made us all laugh afterwards. It was also very sweet to watch people give very heartfelt speeches and it made me appreciate the time I've had so far with the club.

SERVICE MARATHON BY ETHAN SENA

Service Marathon was such a blast! It was a little hard waking up early and coming to campus for it, but once I started doing service, it was like I was on a roll. It was really nice doing multiple single service while talking to everyone in the club. There was one point during the COVID-19 kits where we went too fast, and Han yelled at us to go slower so that the marathon can last the whole 12 hours LOL. But, it felt good having all of us work together to make some of the kits and donations there! Since the theme was superheroes, "The Avengers" movies were playing in the front of the room. Honestly, I barely paid attention because I was so focused on the service. I had a lot of fun during the Service Marathon! I can't wait to attend more in the future.

UNLV CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL

This was my first My Melody and I have to say it was so much fun, with all of the great performances there and all the amazing friends I was able to talk with. I was able to perform with a group of friends and normally I would be super nervous but I was honestly more excited than anything. We practiced a lot so I knew it would be a good performance and it was, I also knew I would have all my friends watching in the audience who were just happy to see us on stage so I didn't feel any judgement at all. Besides my own performance I was constantly amazed by the amazing vocal and dancing performances, since I didn't know so many different people were that talented and I loved the energy in the room. The bidding was also fun to do since it was all going to charity, even though I had to start limiting the money I could spend near the end it was all still worth it. Even with the stress of planning and getting ready, I found the day super enjoyable and I'm glad I was able to experience it this year.

It was tons of fun being on committee. Though the turnout was not as much as we had anticipated, it was still so entertaining and was definitely a night that I’ll remember. Everyone looked so snazzy in their masquerade outfits and the performances were 10/10. The attendees made the event so much better. Everyone’s vibes were amazingggg. I’m so glad that every performer was able to make their bid goal and am super thankful of everyone that supported our event!!
