END OF YEAR BANQUET UNM CKI wrapped up the year by having our annual end-of-year banquet to honor all of our members and acknowledge their hard work this year! We recognized all our returning members, welcomed new members, and gave out some heart-warming awards! We also celebrated our club's achievements; we gained 48 new members and reached over 1500 hours of service this year!

Last but not least, we said a sad goodbye to our 2018-2019 UNM board members and inducted our new UNM CKI board for the 2019-2020 Kiwanis year.

SERVICE PROJECTS: Members of UNM CKI visited Roadrunner Food Bank. They helped package food, sort inventory, and clean the facility.Â

Pictured Here: Sara Midany and Alexis Mendez at Girls Night Out! This event helped raise money for the local Ronald McDonald House (a charity that houses and assists families who have sick children who are being treated).

Our club spent a Saturday helping our fellow K-family! We transported boxes of books to a local education center so teachers from all over Albuquerque could come get free books to put in their classrooms for students to read.

SERVICE PROJECTS CONTINUED: Our club got up bright and early to go help with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Walk for MS. Our fellow members helped to setup the event and checkin all the walkers. Plus they totally rocked those official volunteer t-shirts!

PB&J MEETING: At one of our weekly meetings last month, our club made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Hopeworks. Hopeworks is a nonprofit organization here in Albuquerque that helps people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
