Get Your Gut Ready to Go on Vacation
Anytime you travel, fussy passengers ride along in your intestines. And these sensitive traveling companions are the reason your gut health can take a hit while you’re on holiday.
It’s all because your outside environment sways your interior. What you eat, what you’re exposed to, and the water you drink all impact your microbiome Feeding your gut bacteria food they aren’t used to can cause chaos and gastric discomfort You can also be exposed to foreign bacteria your body doesn’t quite know how to deal with.
Your microbiome is also impacted by jet lag. They have their own rhythm. When these patterns get upset, so do your guts. Gut microbes can also shape your appetite while traveling. Research has shown links between the microbiome and systems regulating hunger levels including hormones and other mechanisms of the brain-gut axis. So if you get extra hungry on the plane, you might blame your microbiome
Quick Gut Health Tips for Smooth Travel
Being mindful of your microbiome is one of the most important things you can do for gut health. Here’s five simple ways to do this while traveling:
4
1 Take probiotics to maintain a balance of good bacteria and support overall gut health 2. Stay active to help regulate bowel movements. 3. Plan ahead by getting proper vaccinations and packing the right medicines and supplements.
5
Hydrated and hydrated! It not only supports your gut health but is a must to keep your body healthy on the go
Don’t leave your healthy diet at home Be sure to still eat plenty of fibre from whole grains, fruits, and vegetables to help keep your gut bacteria happy key to your happiness, too.

USANA Athletes Testimonials
How do you stay fit to nurture your summer health?
As a professional skier, summer is actually just as important for me as winter It's when we do all our strength, endurance, and acrobatic training that’s essential for the winter season. In the summer we have to get our bodies back in top shape so we can start the season at 100% Training, nutrition and general health are also important factors for me That's where USANA plays an important role for me.
You travel a lot, do you have any tips?
Even when traveling, I try to go to the gym regularly. If that's not possible, I recommend always having a yoga mat in your luggage You can do small workouts or yoga sessions in your hotel room or just stretch thoroughly after a long journey
What are your favourite USANA products?
Poly C: I take it to support my immune system, especially during travel and competitions.
Core Minerals: I take this regularly because it simply provides valuable minerals and is especially recommended for a vegan diet.
Celavive Protective Day Lotion: This is a daily part of my skincare routine
How do you stay fit to nurture your summer health?
The truth is that most of my is dedicated to training, preparing and competing in different commitments with the Spanish team. During this time, I tend to strictly control over my nutrition and supplementation, as well as rest habits and routines.
You travel a lot, do you have any tips?
My advice is to engage in activities that allow you to breathe fresh air, take a break from your daily routine, and unwind.
What are your favourite USANA products?
The USANA products I highly recommend (based on my experience) are BiOmega, Vita Antioxidant, Core Minerals, and Proglucamune. And the Protective Day Cream is very top!
Take a Holiday, Science Says So
Holidays are tied to so many benefits and they boost your overall wellness, too! Escaping your everyday life lets you leave your frustrations at home and immerse yourself in a fun, new environment
A holiday helps you relax by removing you from your usual daily stressors like your job and other responsibilities This leads to lower cortisol levels (your main stress hormone)
The Benefits of Resting
As the world and workplace grow increasingly digital, it can be difficult to truly relax into the benefits of resting.
Add social media into the mix and there’s hardly any time left for rest, recreation, and relaxation And, as it turns out, these activities play a crucial role in regulating your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
You’ve probably heard, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” This same logic also applies to stress It pays to be proactive And the best part: one of the easiest ways to prevent stress is through rest and relaxation.
People often think of relaxation as passive. That is, it’s seen as not really doing anything at least not anything demanding And while this line of thinking isn’t necessarily wrong, it leads people away from one of the most effective forms of relaxation: exercise
Swimming, running, or simply walking can be an almost meditative experience
As your body repeats motions over and over again, your mind is allowed to wander freely Your brain enters a state known as the default mode network, a crucial time of rest for your brain.

Why Use Sunscreen: The Dangers of UV Rays
Sunshine not only helps you get the vitamin D you need, it can also boost your mood and may even help reduce stress. But its effects aren’t all positive. The sun emits two types of ultraviolet (UV) rays UVA and UVB that can damage your skin UVB rays, which have a shorter wavelength than UVA rays, are responsible for sunburns UVA rays don’t cause burns, but they penetrate more deeply into skin cells. Both types cause DNA damage, which may lead to genetic mutation

3 Tips for an Effective, Simple Onthe-Go Skincare Routine
Life is busy Add a trip even if it’s a needed holiday and you may feel more short on time. But you don’t have to skimp on one of the most important habits for your well-being: pampering yourself with proper skincare.
If you feel too hurried to make skincare a priority, try these tips to create a routine that can keep up with you
1. Care for Your Skin from the Inside Out
The golden rule for good-looking skin especially when traveling or spending a lot of time in the sun or heat is to keep yourself and your skin as hydrated as possible. Yes, this means drinking around two litres of water a day.
For skin-loving nutrition, cut down on sugars and other simple carbohydrates and add more lean protein and produce. Omega-3 fatty acids are also essential to maintaining your skin’s moisture So toss some flaxseeds or walnuts on your lunchtime salad to get a quick boost.
2. Keep Skincare Simple
Wash with a gentle cleanser 1
Quickly pat a light antioxidant serum onto your skin and let it absorb to keep the look of ageing at bay 2.
3. Apply a moisturizer. 4.
If you choose to add an eye cream, now would be the time to lightly tap it into the outer eye area with your ring finger
Top with a sunscreen that’s a broadspectrum SPF 30 or higher 5
Preventing sun damage is much easier than trying to correct it after the fact
Give Your Skin What It Craves
Your body needs vitamin C to regulate the amount of collagen produced in your skin. Vitamin C stabilises the genetic blueprints for collagen production and increases the rate it’s made helping to keep your skin looking as firm and healthy as possible.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are known to support healthy eyes. And evidence suggests they may also be important in nutritional skincare By working together to filtre blue light, lutein and zeaxanthin help protect your eyes and skin from the effects of the sun
The USANA Difference
Omega-3 fatty acids play an important part in many body systems that contribute to optimal health. Sustainable Packaging
Most USANA supplement and skincare packaging is recyclable in many markets when the seals, labels, pump mechanisims, and any other multimaterial components are removed.
In an ongoing effort to further reduce the environmental impact of our packaging, we are transitioning to 25% PCR (post-consumer recycled) bottles for all nutritionals where there are no regulatory constraints thus reducing the amount of virgin plastic required to produce our packaging And the bottle size of 10 of our products has been reduced to not only decrease the amount of plastic used but also shrink the space required for shipping, resulting in fewer emissions during transportation. To date, we’ve decreased our carbon footprint by diverting the equivalent of over 800,000 plastic bottles away from landfills*
A more environmentally friendly shipping void fill either paper or easy-to-recycle plastic is now used in most markets. The plastic shrink wrap has also been eliminated from all supplements, allowing customers to recycle the entire bottle without having to remove any additional materials And our shipping boxes are now updated to encourage recycling and include a link to information on USANA sustainability.
USANA is also committed to increasing education and awareness regarding recycling our packaging. We recently completed phase one of implementing the How2Recycle smart labeling system on our North America Nutritionals labels How2Recycle is an organisation that provides consistent and transparent on-package recycling information to consumers in North America. By including recycling information on our packaging, we help customers make informed decisions and encourage them to recycle our products properly.
Through these efforts, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging to create a more sustainable future.
*The total amount of plastic bottles diverted from landfills was calculated by taking the total weight of plastic saved and dividing it by the average weight of our bottles.
