Overview of the position Reporting to the ActivateSocial Manager, this position will be the first point of contact and it will be key responsibility for ensuring reception is operating as a welcoming information hub for the student enquiries. This position will be responsible for providing high level customer service, maintain close relationship with the internal stakeholders and the Social team, ensuring appropriate and consistent information is available for a range students. The position has financial responsibility and also provides general administrative support to the Social team as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities •
Provide high level of customer service and understanding processes that assist students with upcoming event, general and clubs related enquiries at the front desk

Book relevant rooms, bars and UTS grounds as required for events via the UTS Room Booking System and Activate Booking System
•
Understanding processes such as locker hire, room bookings and equipment hire
•
Accurate management of all cash handling duties such as looking after daily sales, recording daily transactions, float management and payments of equipment hire, bar tabs or any club oriented payment
•
Maintenance of general administrative duties and assist the team with the arrangements for the upcoming event
•
Liaise with internal stakeholders such as ActivateUTS teams, UTS security and other relevant UTS Departments on current events

Assist the Social Team and department managers and with other duties within the nature and scope of this position as may be required from time to time

You must also have: •
Previous experience with providing high level customer service

Friendly and welcoming attitude with good research skills
•
Strong administration and organisational skills
•
Previous experience handling cash and cashless payments
•
Proficient user of Microsoft Office with advanced skills in excel
•
Understanding of student’s social and recreational needs
•
Ability to follow instructions and work as a team member and autonomously as required
•
Ability to build rapport with the stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds
•
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
