< World Relays 2017

< World Relays 2016

< 3rd 800m Australian National Championships 2016

< World Junior Championships 2016

<8 00m State Champion 2016 I first heard about the UTS Elite Athlete Program through some athletics friends who were already on the program. As soon as I discovered what was on offer, I knew I had to be a part of it, as the support and opportunities that were on offer from UTS Sport were unrivalled by any other Australian university. The UTS Elite Athlete Program has extensively supported both my athletic and academic career. The financial support offered has allowed travel both interstate and internationally for competitions, access to regular physio and rehab treatment and has provided me with leading edge gym facilities which have all assisted in improving my performance.

I was initially drawn to UTS’s highly ranked Communication and Law faculties. I placed a high priority on academic considerations, and UTS checked all the boxes for me. Learning what UTS Sport and the Elite Athlete Program could offer only sealed my decision. The whole team at UTS Sport have helped me in every way they can to ensure my studies and sport can work seamlessly together. With the help of the Elite Athlete Program I can train, attend classes, study, work, compete, volunteer, travel and still have time to sleep. I’m confident in the coming years that my decision to choose UTS will be the gift that keeps on giving.

In addition to the many things that the university does to support my athletic career, they are also able to help my academic endeavours. These include, assistance in a more flexible timetable to accommodate a heavy training schedule, the ability to move around major assignments/exams if there are clashes with major competitions and offer subjects via correspondence when training/ competing overseas. 2019 ATHLETICS INFORMATION BOOKLET 11
