The UTS Student Diary is the perfect opportunity for your brand to gain unique and concentrated exposure to our students connecting your brand with Generation Z students. 15,000 copies are distributed across Broadway, Haymarket and Kuring-Gai campus’, with the majority of all copies picked up by 17-25 years olds by the end of Semester 1. You will reach the students 365 days a year. Diaries are distributed in the free ActivateUTS showbags on O’Day, as well as at ActivateHQ Info Desk and in UTS Housing welcome packs. The advertiser understands that if payment is not made by this time, the advertisement will not appear in the 2015 ActivateUTS Student Diary, and 50% of the total payment will be required from the advertiser as a cancellation fee. The advertiser understands that all artwork supplied is subject to final approval by UTS Union Ltd. ActivateUTS is the trading name of UTS Union Ltd.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
On Campus Promotions 1. The Hirer must carry a current public liability policy to the value of $AUD10,000,000 and a certificate of currency is to be presented to UTS Union Ltd seven (7) days prior to promotional activity commencement. 2. The Hirer is required to provide relevant corporate identification and disclose all activities that they intend to run as part of their promotion. Anything outside of what is proposed on this form that occurs on the actual day of the promotion, as determined by UTS Union, is not allowed and may result in the immediate cancellation of your promotion. 3. The Hirer is responsible for the set up and pack down of their promotional activity within the agreed bump in and bump out times. 4. No promotional material is to be left on campus outside of the date(s) and time(s) specified on this form. Please ensure your stall is returned clean and in the same condition as the beginning of the day. If rubbish and other items are left at your stall that require cleaning, you will receive a cleaning invoice for the service. 5. Promotional material (including clothing), or behaviour, that may be deemed discriminatory or offensive, or that contradicts the policies or requirements of UTS and/or UTS Union Ltd, is not allowed on campus. Organisations found breaching this term will be asked to leave the premises immediately. For further details about the Union policies contact UTS Union Communications & Marketing Manager. For further information about UTS policies visit http://www.gsu.uts.edu.au/lrp.html. 6. The use of loud speakers or PA equipment is not permitted as part of your promotional activity. If it is a requirement to use such equipment, approval by UTS Union Ltd must be obtained in writing prior to the commencement of your activity. During semester the usage of loud speakers or PA equipment may only occur during Common Lunch Hours, typically 12:30pm – 1:30pm, Thursday & Friday. 7. The promotional activity can only take place in the area approved by UTS Union Ltd. 8. Any provision of catering, sampling or giveaways must be approved by UTS Union Ltd. 9. Promotional activities must adhere to the UTS Union Ltd Liquor Licensing and Security requirements, as determined by UTS Union Ltd. If approved, a booking confirmation will be sent to the email address supplied within 10 working days from the date shown on this form. 2. You will be invoiced to the contact name and postal address supplied on this form. 3. Payment for on campus promotions is to be made 7 business days prior to event. Failure to comply with this will result in booking cancellation. 4. All booking cancellations incur a 10% charge of the total fee, plus GST, and must be made in writing. Any cancellation received less than seven (7) days prior to the date of the promotional activity will forfeit full rate. This is not negotiable. 5. UTS Union Ltd reserves the right to cancel any booking that is deemed discriminatory or offensive at the discretion of the UTS Union Communications & Marketing Manager.

ActivateUTS ActivateUTS is a not for profit organisation that works in conjunction with the University of Technology, Sydney to enhance student life on campus. This is done through various initiatives including; the hosting of major campus events, facilitatiing over 150 student sporting and social clubs and the management of key communication channels such as student magazine PLAYGROUND and digital marketing and advertising screens located in key points throughout the UTS campus.
