DJ Mixing Class with United DJ Mixing School Featuring STICKYBUDS – CANADA (Ghetto Funk/Good Groove Records) 1-3pm – 23rd August – The Loft DJ Mixing is the art of blending two or more musical tunes together by synchronising their rhythms and melodies. It has since not only crafted many top notch talents and well-known artists in the production industry, but has also groomed many musically-inclined home-based enthusiasts on their individual creativity, innovation and musicality. The United DJ Mixing School was founded in 1993 with the aim of Uniting the finest DJs in Australia to form one of the first structured DJ schools. The original course was structured by DJ KC with the aid of Nick Fish, Pee Wee, Paul Holden, and Chris Smith. The course has since evolved to provide the perfect environment for having fun, making contacts and learning the art of mixing from the experiences of established DJs. After 10 Years of operating the most successful and longest
running DJ School in Sydney, the crew has branched out to Melbourne for the long overdue expansion of the School. From the funkafied west coast of Canada, Stickybuds has been making his mark on music all over the globe. In the last few years he’s found himself performing in 14 different countries, captivating fans wherever he goes. His work ethic and passion have also earned him a residency at Canada’s Shambhala music festival (2005 – 2012), as well as performances at Glastonbury (UK), Splore Festival (NZ), Burning Man (USA) and the legendary Space club in Ibiza (ES). With 20 releases on multiple labels, Sticky loves to create and play dance floor friendly music and fills his sets with intricately woven funk, DnB, glitch hop, reggae and breaks.
