Estimados lectores, Estimadas lectoras DEAR READERS LIEBE LESER, LIEBE LESERINNEN

Ser libre tiene un valor incalculable, pero la libertad hay que trabajarla para que llegue; y hay que trabajarla para mantenerla. Libertad de sentirnos realmente quienes somos, sin tener que ocultarlo o mimetizarnos con un entorno opresor, escudándonos que la normalización llega al integrarnos, no queriendo ver que ese mimetismo no integra, sino que nos hace esclavos. Libertad para decir la verdad, sin miedo a quienes la esconden para su propio beneficio, porque “la verdad nos hace libres”. Y para decir la verdad no hace falta tener estudios, ni carrera. Libertad de comunicar, a pesar que nos digan intrusos del mundo del periodismo. Porque nuestra libertad es nuestra fuerza, y trabajamos para ser quienes somos. Y UXXS lleva muchos años visibilizándonos, haciéndonos a todas y todos un poco más libres. Por eso, hay quien quiere callar a UXXS, porque la libertad, como la verdad, a veces molesta.

Freedom is priceless. But you have to work hard for it, even harder to keep it healthy. Freedom to express ourselves without fear, without either masquerading or merging within an oppressive environment, using the concept of normalization as an alibi, while

failing to recognize mimicry for what it really is; submission. Freedom to tell the truth without fear of those who manipulate it for their own good, and that is because “truth will make you free”. And to tell the truth you do not certainly need a degree. Freedom to communicate, in spite of some voices which complain we are trespassing. Because in our freedom lies our strength and we work hard to be what we are; UXXS, the magazine that has been making visibility real for all of us for many years now, stretching the margins of freedom too. That´s the reason why some people would like to make UXXS to stop doing what we do; because freedom, like the truth, makes some people uncomfortable.

Frei sein hat einen nicht kalkulierbaren Wert, aber für die Freiheit muss man arbeiten und man muss auch arbeiten, um sie zu erhalten. Sich als das, was man ist, frei zu fühlen, ohne etwas zu verstecken oder zu tarnen mit einer unterdrückenden Umgebung, wobei wir uns damit herausreden, dass die Normalisierung zur Integration kurz bevor steht, und dabei übersehend, dass eben diese “Tarnung” nicht integriert, sondern uns vielmehr zum Sklaven macht.

Estimados amigos de UXXS: les escribo para hacerles llegar mi opinión de lo sucedido en las Galas Drag, tanto de Maspalomas como la de Las Palmas, ya que aunque ha sido una respetable decisión del jurado, no creo que éste tuviera muy claro

Creo que hay que tener en cuenta muchas cosas más que las que meramente tuvieron en cuenta. ¿Se atreverá el Cabildo a presentar en sus eventos de patrocinio turístico en Ferias o Eventos, como en años anteriores, a cualquiera de estas dos drags ganadoras, como representación de sus fiestas? Me he quedado con un sabor de boca como cuando Chikilicuatre resultó ganador en la selección para Eurovisión. Dear UXXS Friends, I would like to express my opinion about what happened in the Drag Queen Galas, both in Las Palmas and Maspalomas. No matter how respectable the jury´s decision I think they did not have a clear idea of what to do with their vote. Still, I believe many other values should be considered besides the ones which were favored. Will the Cabildo really dare go to touristic and promotional events along with those officially awarded acts as representative of our Carnival? This feels like when Chikilicuatre won the Eurovision nomination. Liebe Freunde von UXXS: Ich schreibe euch in der Absicht, euch meine Meinung zu den Vorgängen bei den Galas Drag zu übermitteln, und zwar sowohl in Bezug auf die Gala in Maspalomas als auch die in Las Palmas. Obwohl die Entscheidung der Jury sicherlich zu respektieren ist, glaube ich dennoch nicht, dass sich eben diese Jurys darüber im klaren waren, nach welchen Kriterien sie zu stimmen hatten. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass weit mehr Dinge zu berücksichtigen gewesen waren, als die, die zu grunde gelegt wurden. Wird es der Inselrat wagen, wie in den Jahren zuvor während seiner Events oder Messen einen der beiden Gewinner als Repräsentanten für seine Feierlichkeiten vorzustellen? Mir kam derselbe Geschmack nach oben als damals Chikilicuatre Gewinner bei der Vorausscheidung für den Schlagerwettwerb für die Eurovisión wurde.

¿Quién está detrás del nombre de Cascada? Cascada somos Natalie Horler, Yann Peifer y Manuel Reuter, desde hace unos diez años. ¿Cómo entró Cascada en el negocio de la música? Siempre quise ser cantante, y un día me encontré con Yann y Manuel en un estudio de Düsseldorf (Alemania) donde trabajaba como cantante de estudio. Después de un breve período de cooperación, el proyecto “Cascada” se fundó conmigo como cantante principal. A partir de ahí empezó todo. ¿Por qué música Dance? En realidad, siempre quise hacer R&B o soul, pero Yann y Manuel fueron la razón de que hiciéramos música Dance. Además me identifico mucho con ella y me siento muy cómoda. ¿Qué recuerdos tienes de Eurovisión 2013? ¡Muy buenos recuerdos! Por supuesto que no fue tan bueno no conseguir una mejor posición para Alemania, pero el hecho es que estoy súper feliz con mi participación. Fue un gran momento. ¿Y cuál es tu opinión personal sobre la canción presentada, “ Glorious”? No ganó el concurso de Eurovisión, pero me encanta la canción y la interpreto siempre en todas mis actuaciones. Eres estrella invitada al Orgullo de Maspalomas 2014, ¿qué esperas? ¡Nunca he estado en este evento, pero he oído cosas muy positivas

y que es una gran fiesta! Estoy emocionada por mi actuación... Sé que la comunidad gay sabe disfrutar una buena fiesta. ¿Qué podemos esperar de tu actuación? Traeremos nuestros mejores temas, y daré lo mejor de mí. Vamos a calentar el ambiente. ¿Cómo consideras a tus fans LGBT? Creo que es genial que la comunidad LGBT pueda disfrutar de su libertad y que cada uno se muestre como es. Además, creo que es importante que eventos como el Orgullo se lleven a cabo, lo cual no es posible en todos sitios.

¿Cuál es tu relación con España ? Me gusta España, y viví 2 años en Mallorca. Por desgracia, mi español no es muy bueno, pero siempre trato de entender en la medida de lo posible. Este verano viajaré mucho por España con mis actuaciones. ¿Conoces Gran Canaria? He estado dos veces en Gran Canaria, las dos de vacaciones con amigos, y lo disfruté como nunca. ¡Estoy muy feliz de volver a la isla! Y en el futuro ¿con qué nos va a sorprender Cascada? ¡Con muchos shows y canciones llenos de energía que les hará sudar!

UM 12 What are your memories from Eurovision 2013? The best ones! Pity about the ranking of Germany, still I am very happy and proud of my participation in such a great event. And what are your feelings about the song, ‘Glorious’? It did not win but I like it very much; I include it in all my shows. You will be attending Maspalomas Pride 2014 as one of the guest stars, looking forward to it? It is going to be my first Pride. I´ve heard nothing but positive comments about this huge event. I am so excited, really looking forward to it. It is well known gay audiences know how to party. What can we expect from your show? Our best songs, and the best of ourselves. We are going to rock you!

Who is behind the name ‘Cascada‘? ‘Cascada’ is Natalie Horle, Yann Peifer and Manuel Reuter, for ten years now. How did ‘Cascada’ started in the musical business? I´ve always wanted to be a singer, and then one day I met Yann and Manuel in a music studio in Düsseldorf where I was working as studio voice. We started a short period of collaborations and afterwards funded our own project, ‘Cascada’, with me as the vocalist. That was it. Why dance music? Actually, I am more into R&B and Soul, but Yann and Manuel decided on the dance approach. Besides, I can relate to it and feel at ease.

How do you relate to your LGTB fans? I fully support freedom of expression, nothing is better than living your life the way you want to. There lies the importance of events such as Pride which, unfortunately, not all countries are willing to endorse. Do you know Spain? I love Spain, I lived in Mallorca for 2 years. Sadly, my Spanish is not that good but I get an A for effort. Besides, I will be touring Spain this summer. Do you know Gran Canaria? I have been here two times, with friends, and enjoyed it immensely. I am so happy to come back! What can we expect from ‘Cascada’ in the future? Lots of shows, plenty of songs to make you sweat!

UM 13 gerne angetreten bin. Es war eine tolle Zeit. Wer steht hinter dem Namen Cascada? Cascada besteht aus Natalie Horler, Yann Peifer und Manuel Reuter. Uns gibt es seit ungefähr zehn Jahren.

Deine persönliche Meinung zum Titel “Glorious”? Er hat zwar nicht beim Eurovision Contest gewonnen aber ich liebe den Song und performe ihn sehr gerne bei allen Shows.

Wie kam Cascada ins Musikgeschäft? Ich wollte immer Sängerin werden und lernte Yann und Manuel eines Tages in einem Düsseldorfer Studio kennen, wo ich als Studiosängerin arbeiten sollte. Dies habe ich auch getan und nach einer kurzen Zeit der Zusammenarbeit wurde das Projekt “Cascada” gegründet mit mir als Frontsängerin. Ab dann ging alles los.

Du bist Gast Star zur Maspalomas Pride 2014, was erwarten du? Ich war noch nie bei dieser Veranstaltung, habe aber super positive Dinge gehört und dass es eine Riesen Party ist! Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall besonders auf diesen Auftritt... ich weiss dass die Gay Community sehr gut feiern kann...

Warum Dancemusik? Eigentlich wollte ich immer R’n B und Soul singen, aber da ich durch Yann&Manuel in den Dancebereich kam wurde es halt das. Mittlerweile identifiziere mich ja auch sehr damit und fühle mich wohl. Welche Erinnerungen hast du an die Eurovision 2013? Sehr gute Erinnerungen! Natürlich war es nicht so schön keine bessere Platzierung für Deutschland zu machen, aber das ändert nichts daran dass ich super

geben um den Leute so richtig einzuheizen! Ich bringe natürlich auch meine hübschen Tänzer zur Unterstützung mit. Wie empfindest du deine GLBT Fan Gemeinde? Ich finde es toll das die Community ihre Freiheit geniessen kann und jeder so sein kann wie er ist. Noch dazu finde ich es super das Events wie der CSD stattfinden können, was nicht überall so ist. Und in welcher Beziehung stehst du zu Spanien? Ich mag Spanien sehr und habe dort sogar 2 Jahre gelebt (Mallorca). Leider ist mein spanisch nicht ganz so gut, aber ich probiere immer soviel wie möglich zu verstehen. Ich werde diesen Sommer auch viel in Spanien unterwegs sein und Auftritte haben. Kennst du Gran Canaria? Ich war schon zweimal auf Gran Canaria, beide male im Urlaub mit Freunden, und ich hatte die beste Zeit überhaupt. Ich freu mich sehr wieder auf die Insel zurückzukommen! Tras ser archivada la denuncia contra el Cardenal Sebastián que instaba a los homosexuales a “recibir tratamiento”, por considerar la Fiscalía de Málaga que las declaraciones contra homosexuales están amparadas en el derecho a la libertad de expresión y libertad religiosa, ahora le toca el turno al obispo de Málaga Jesús Catalá, que compara el matrimonio homosexual con la unión de un bebé y un hombre de 70 años, en un encuentro con alumnado de centros religiosos concertados de la ciudad. Mientras tanto, el obispo de Alcalá arremete contra la igualdad de las mujeres, después de sus declaraciones sobre que ciertas ideologías en el ámbito escolar hace que los niños se planteen su condición homosexual, y tras asociar homosexualidad con prostitución.

First it was the Prosecutor Office of Malaga which, on the grounds of freedom of both speech and religious creed, filed the complaint against the cardinal Sebastian who advocated that homosexuals should get “therapeutic treatment”. Now it is the turn for Jesus Catala, the bishop of Malaga, who recently compared same-sex marriage to pederasty between a newly born and an old man, during a meeting with students from the city´s catholic schools.

Meanwhile, the bishop of Alcala lashes out at women´s rights, associates homosexuality with prostitution, and also complains about the influence some ideologies can exert over young minds and their yet unformed gay tendencies.

Nachdem die Anzeige gegen den Kardinal Sebastián mit den Argumenten der Staatsanwaltschaft von Málaga archiviert wurde, (er hatte die Homosexuellen aufgefordert, sich behandeln zu lassen), wonach die Erklärungen gegen Homosexuelle durch das Recht

auf freie Meinungsäusserung und freie Religionsausübung geschützt seien, kommt nun der Bischof von Málaga, Jesús Catalá, an die Reihe, der während einer Veranstaltung mit Studenten aus konzertierten religiösen Zentren der Stadt die homosexuelle Eheschliessung mit der Verbindung eines Babys zu einem 70-jährigen Mann vergleicht. Währenddessen wettert der Bischof von Alcalá gegen die Gleichheit der Frauen nach ihren Erklärungen über gewisse Ideologien beim Schulwesen, die dazu führen würden, dass die Kinder ihre Homosexualität überdenken, nachdem die Homosexualität mit Prostitution assoziiert würde.

Un año más en Gran Canaria, las galas Drag se han llevado los aplausos de sus Carnavales, y la apuesta por el humor ha tenido buen rédito para las Drag que resultaron ganadoras Drag Grimassira Maeva, en el carnaval de Las Palmas de G.C., y Drag On en el carnaval de Maspalomas). Las Palmas de G.C. El segundo premio fue para Drag Ácrux y el tercero para Drag Noa , que además se llevó un contrato de una gira de trabajo durante un mes en Shangai, y que tiene el honor de ser la primera mujer que se cuela en el palmarés de los ganadores de la gala Drag. Tanto sus espectáculos, como el del resto de los participantes estuvieron acompañadas por los aplausos y ovaciones de las 4.000 personas congregadas en el recinto carnavalero. Un magnífico show que, un año más, no ha defraudado y que sigue siendo un importante reclamo de las fiestas capitalinas. Si todavía no lo has vivido, apúntalo en tu agenda para el próximo año. Maspalomas Una gala genialmente conducida por Roberto Herrera, que convirtió el salvaje tema carnavalero en una divertida noche, en la que participaron 14 candidatos, clasificándose en segundo lugar Drag Orión, y el tercer puesto para Drag Gio. Un show que contó con las actuaciones de Kazaky y del DJ Shasha Lopez, que con Broono y Ale Blake hicieron vibrar al público presente.

Yet another year in Gran Canaria the Drag Queen Galas ranked first in the audience´s preferences during carnival celebrations. Popular humor also proved a charm to both winners, Drag Grimassira Maeva in the Carnival of Las Palmas de G.C., and Drag On in Maspalomas.

Las Palmas de G.C. The second prize went to Drag Ácrux, and the third one to Drag Noa, who also won a contract for a monthlong tour in Shanghai, besides having the honor of being the first woman ever to score a prize in this Drag event. All participating shows were applauded and cheered by an enthusiastic crowd of over 4.000 persons packing the venue. And yet another year we enjoyed a

UM 17 wonderful spectacle which never lets you down, one of the main attractions in these festivities. If you had not yet experienced it, try it next year. Maspalomas Masterfully conducted by host Roberto Herrera, the southern Gala showcased the talent of 14 candidates during a fun night under the influence of wild life. Drag Orion was handed the second prize, and Drag Gio got the third. The show included performances by Kazaky and DJ Sasha Lopez, whom along with Broono and Ale Blake made the audience get wilder.

Wenn Du bisher noch keine Gelegenheit hattest, mit dabei zu sein, solltest Du Dir dieses Ereignis für das kommende Jahr vormerken. Que la “realidad debería estar prohibida” no es una idea exclusiva de los lunes. Comprobar que somos tan iguales a los heterosexuales como ellos mismos a nosotros, tampoco. ¿Qué nos ocurrirá si el mundo sigue girando? ¿Qué futuro cierto nos espera a maricas y lesbianas de un mundo que por necesidad tiende a normalizar el asunto a golpe de Ley? ¿Poder casarnos y adoptar, o que nuestro esposo o esposa se quede con nosotros en la habitación del hospital es un logro que nos invita a la normalidad o ya lo estábamos? Leí en estos días que un matrimonio de dos mujeres argentinas consiguió bautizar a su hijo en una iglesia católica. ¡BAZINGA! ¿Avance? ¿Somos más normales porque nuestro hijo ya puede participar de una entidad que nos ha dibujado como proscritos de la moral? Parece ser que sí. Y decir que no somos diferentes a los

All in all, no need for an Act to confirm we too are normal.

La revista alemana Mate Magazin premia nuestro destino en los Mate Travel Adwards, premios otorgados anualmente por los propios lectores de la publicación, que reconocen el valor de la isla de Gran Canaria como gran capital del turismo gay europeo.

Das Deutsche Magazin „Mate“ zeichnet unsere Insel bei den Mate Travel Adwards aus: Diese Preise werden jährlich von den Lesern dieses Magazines bestimmt, die die Bedeutung von Gran Canaria als grosstes GayReiseziel in Europa bestätigen. Die Auszeichnung wurde von Saro Arencibia vom Tourismusamt entgegen genommen und stellt eine doppelte Promotion für die Insel dar, weil sie mit der ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse) am 6. März zusammen traf. Die ITB ist die führende Fachmesse der internationalen TourismusWirtschaft in Europa.

Gran Canaria, Best Gay Destination 2013 The German Mate magazine has recognized our destination during its Mate Travel Awards, which are annually given with the votes from the readers; they have been the ones to elect Gran Canaria as Best European Gay Tourism Destination. The award was handed to Saro Arencibia, from the Tourism Council, during the celebration of the Berlin ITB, the main European showcase of the business, making it all a case of doublepromotion.

Desafortunadamente, todavía hay mucha homofobia en Italia, y no se ve muy normal a las parejas gays. También hay diferencias entre el norte y el sur de Italia, debido en esta última a la influencia de la Iglesia y el Papa que condiciona la opinión pública. Riccardo y Alfredo, como pareja italiana, nos hablan de ello. Unfortunately homophobia is alive and well in Italy, and gay couples usually get the cold look. There are also differences between the North and the South of the country, brought on by the influence of the Church and the Pope in public opinion. Riccardo and Alfredo, an Italian couple, tell us all about it. Leider gibt es noch immer in Italien viel Homophobie und die Gay-Partnerschaften werden nicht als normal angesehen. Dabei sind Unterschiede zwischen dem Norden und dem Süden Italiens festzustellen. Dies beim Letzteren wegen des grösseren Einflusses der Kirche und des Papstes, die die öffentliche Meinung prägen. Das Italienische Paar, Riccardo und Alfredo, sprechen darüber.

¿Creen que hay mucha diferencia con otros países? Depende del país al que viajes. Por supuesto que hay países donde la homosexualidad es percibida peor, de igual forma que en esos países hay un menor respeto por los derechos humanos. Pero cuando viajas a países “socialmente desarrollados”, como al Norte de Europa, tienes esperanzas porque te sientes aceptado e igual que otras personas. ¿Cuál ha sido vuestra peor experiencia por ser pareja? Tener que ocultar a mi familia una importante parte de mi vida, evitando hablar de nuestra vida con nuestros padres, sin tener siquiera una oportunidad de discutirlo. A pesar de todo, las cosas cambian, y ha sido necesario darles tiempo para que lo vayan aceptando. “Podrás estar contento, pero yo no lo estoy”, fue lo que dijo mi padre (Alfredo).

Pero hoy ya es otra persona, lo ha aceptado e incluso trata mejor a Riccardo que a mí.

¿Y cómo puede esto cambiar? Cambiará cuando la Comunidad LGBT salga de sus ghettos y se muestra espontánea con sus amistades más cercanas y con sus allegados. La homosexualidad no es sólo para los Orgullos, es nuestra vida diaria, y debe ser aceptada primero por nosotros mismos.

How do you think this could change? It will change when the LGTB community comes out of its “ghettoes” and starts to behave with the most absolute normalcy with friends and relatives. Homosexuality is not just a matter of Pride parades but of a day-today self-acceptance.

Is there such a huge difference when compared to other countries? It depends on the country you are visiting. Of course there are countries where it is even worse, but then those are places where human rights are generally less respected. But when you travel to “socially advanced” countries in Northern Europe you end up feeling there is still hope to be treated like everybody else.

Glaubt ihr, dass es im Vergleich zu anderen Ländern viele Unterschiede gibt? Das kommt immer auf das Land an, in das Du reist. Es gibt selbstverständlich Länder, wo die Homosexualität noch schlimmer empfunden wird und in gleicher Weise werden auch die Menschenrechte dort weniger respektiert. Wenn Du dann aber in Länder reist, die sozial weiterentwickelt sind, wie z.B. in den Norden von Europa, hast Du wieder Hoffnung, weil Du Dich akzeptiert und mit anderen Personen gleich behandelt fühlst.

Which has been your worse experience as a gay couple? I would say to keep that important part of your life a secret to your family. And not being able to talk about it with your parents, not the slightest chance of a discussion. But after all times do change, and you have to give them some time to adjust to the idea. “You can be happy, because I am not”, that is what my dad said to me (Alfredo). But today he has changed, and he even treats Riccardo better than me.

Was war euer schlimmstes Erlebnis als Gay-Paar? Dass ich einen wichtigen Part meines Lebens vor meiner Familie verstecken musste, wobei vermieden wurde, über unser Leben mit unseren Eltern zu sprechen, und noch nicht einmal die Möglichkeit zu haben, ansatzweise darüber zu diskuttieren. Aber trotz allem ändern sich die Dinge und es war einfach nötig, ihnen Zeit zu geben, damit sie es allmählich akzeptieren konnten. „Du kannst ja zufrieden sein, aber ich bin

es nicht“, sagte mein Vater (der von Alfredo). Aber heute ist er ein anderer, er hat es akzeptiert und er behandelt sogar Riccardo besser als mich.

Und wie kann man alles ändern? Es wird sich alles in dem Moment ändern, wenn die LGBT-Komune aus ihren Ghettos kommt und sie sich spontan mit ihrem engsten Freundeskreis und ihren Nahestehenden zeigen. Die Homosexualität ist nicht nur etwas für die „Prides“, sie ist vielmehr unser Alltag und muss in erster Linie von uns selbst akzeptiert werden.

Lo que era el símbolo de la virilidad masculina y madura es ahora una característica esencial , incluso en aquellos que acaban de salir de la adolescencia . Son los llamados Hipsters. Jóvenes y orgullosos de mostrar unas barbas largas y pesadas que

serían la envidia de un leñador canadiense. Sorprendentemente, a menudo tienen largos bigotes y, a veces, rizados y modelados con esmero. Nos recuerdan a los dandies de finales de los 80 e incluso a Ercule Poirot de Agatha Christie. Son nuevas criaturas de moda, y por supuesto presentes en Gran Canaria, poblando las dunas de Maspalomas y los clubes gay nocturnos. Let´s talk about beards! I do not mean the usual ones, worn by traditional bears, musclebears, polar bears, cubs and so on. Let´s talk instead about those others now in fashion, those that everybody is sporting now, gays and straights alike. What was once the symbol of male and mature virility has become a commodity and a must, even within the ranks of the postteenagers. We call them Hipsters, a tribe of young and proud owners of heavy, thick beards that will make any Canadian woodcutter turn green with envy. Surprisingly, they also sport big moustaches, sometimes going for elaborate, curly fashions. They remind us of the Dandies from the late Eighties, and even of Agatha Christie´s Hercules Poirot. These are the new creatures in fashion, present everywhere including Gran Canaria and its

Dunes and nightclubs, of course; handsome, elegantly attired, hyper-wired, making a display out of their peculiarities which can only baffle old-school bears, you know what I mean… I belong with the latters. Dressed in our classical shirts and traditional beards we can only watch them and roar the same old WOOF!

Sprechen wir mal über Bärte! Nicht über gewöhnliche Bärte, wie die der traditionellen Bären, Muskelbären, Polorbären, Bärenjungen und andere. Sprechen wir über die Bärte, die derzeit in Mode sind und die alle tragen, ob Gays oder nicht! Was früher das Symbol der reifen und maskulinen Manneskraft war, ist heute ein wesentliches Charaktermerkmal, bis hin zu denen, die gerade der Jugend entschlüpft sind. Das sind die sogenannten “Hipsters”. Junge Männer, die Stolz darauf sind, lange und wallende Bärte zu zeigen, die einem Kanadischen Holzfäller den Neid in die Augen treiben würden. Überraschenderweise haben sie häufig lange Schnurrbärte und manchmal gelockte und sorgfältig Geformte. Sie erinnern uns an die Dandies Ende der 80-iger Jahre bis hin zu Hercule Poirot der Agatha Christie. Es sind neue “Modegeschöpfe” und selbstverständlich auch in Gran Canaria vertreten. Sie bevölkern die Dühnen von Maspalomas und die nächtlichen Gay-Bars und Klubs. Hübsch und elegant gekleidet, mit hyper-technologischem Verständnis, wobei sie mit ihren Eigentümlichkeiten protzen, was unvorstellbar für den typischen Gay-Bären der alten Schule ist.... Und ich bin einer von ihnen! Gekleidet mit unseren klassischen Hemden und mit unseren traditionellen Bärten, und bei alldem können wir beim Betrachten sagen: Das ist derselbe und antiquierte WOOF!

Maspalomas PRIDE 2014

A poco más de un mes vista del Maspalomas Pride, la comunidad LGBT calienta motores de mano de GLAY, para lo que se prevé sea un éxito de asistencia y eventos. Y ello por la concienzuda labor que se ha realizado desde meses atrás coordinando todos los aspectos que debe incluir. Este año, más internacional que nunca, se celebra la igualdad con la que podemos vivir en Maspalomas, deseando servir de faro y de esperanza de los logros que se pueden alcanzar a países de todo el mundo en los que se vive la discriminación por motivos de orientación o identidad sexual, como Rusia o varios estados africanos, entre otros.

Etwas mehr als ein Monat und dann ist sie da, die Maspalomas Pride. Die LGBT-Komune startet die Motoren unter der Leitung von GLAY, damit ein Erfolg grantiert ist, soweit es um Teilnahme und Events geht. UM 48 Noticias LGTB LGTB NEWS GLBT NACHRICHTEN La futura ley sobre derechos de las personas transexuales recibe el visto bueno por unanimidad en el Pleno del Parlamento de Andalucía, buscando garantizar la igualdad frente al resto de la ciudadanía. Un texto que incluirá medidas para asegurar la atención educativa, social, familiar y sanitaria, previendo que el Servicio Andaluz de Salud lleve adelante el procedimiento integral de reasignación sexual, proporcionando tratamientos y cirugía, e incluyendo acciones formativas específicas en esta materia dentro del Plan Integral de Formación del sistema sanitario público. The future Act that will rule the rights of transsexual persons, giving guarantee to the idea of equal social treatment, had met with the unanimous approval of the Andalusian Parliament. This act will integrate in its text measures to secure all kind of educational, social, familial, and health assistances, including the collaboration of the Andalusian Health Service which will carry along the whole procedure of sexual realignment, from treatments to surgery, not forgetting specific courses on the matter through the Comprehensive Formative Plan developed by the National Health Service. Se aprueba en Galicia la primera ley contra la discriminación de las personas homosexuales, ampliando el concepto de familia a la derivada de matrimonios del mismo sexo, aunque finalmente no establece sanciones para quienes puedan discriminar. The county of Galicia passes on the first act against the discrimination of homosexual persons, allowing the concept of family to be applied to those build on samesex marriages. No penalties are contemplated for the offenders. Homosexuality is not legally banned in the country but the authorities apply the laws concerning crimes against the moral. Dia de sauna Tras la última kedada en la bolera y cena de marzo, esta vez queremos mojarnos un poco, y el Domingo 11 de mayo, a las 18:00 h tenemos fiesta de espuma en la Sauna Héroes (Yumbo Center Playa del Inglés). Una buena oportunidad para conocer las nuevas instalaciones de la sauna gay más grande de Canarias, y pasar un rato divertido.

Sauna Day Coming after our previous bowling dinner meeting in March, now it is the time to get wet. On May the 11th, from 18:00 on, we will be enjoying a foam party at the Heroes sauna (Yumbo, Playa del Ingles). A good opportunity to try and have fun in its newly refurbished and extended premises, the biggest one in the Canaries!

Saunatag Nach dem letzten Treffen auf der Kegelbahn mit Abendessen im März möchten wir uns feuchtfröhlich am Sonntag, 11.
