CHAIRMAN’S REPORT The three rallies listed for April were all well supported and their success was boosted by fine sunny weather. Thanks to Neale Cook for his organisation of the P-Group Rally, Malcolm McGibbon who originally initiated and now runs the Malvern Run for Anzac weekend each year, and Graeme Sword, ably supported by Tony Meikle for organising the Autumn Three-day Run over Anzac Weekend. There is a lot of time and effort put into these events and it is good to see that they are so well supported. I’m pleased to be able to report that we have a candidate prepared to fill the position of Club Captain, after this role has been vacant for a couple of seasons with the general committee managing activities as best as possible. After managing the Branch’s finances very ably for five years, Kevin Sarjeant will be
retiring from the position of Treasurer at the end of this term and we thank ROSS BUTLER Kevin for all that Chairman ph 03 352 3160 he has done in ensuring that the Branch remains in a sound position financially. It’s pleasing to be able to report that we have a well qualified candidate to take the reins from Kevin. Whilst is great to know that these very important positions are filled, I would draw your attention to the vacancies on the Committee and it would be really good for these to be filled as we go into the new season. Give some thought to putting yourself forward for committee, new input is always welcome.
