CLUB CAPTAIN’S REPORT This month has been a busy month starting with a successful Awards Dinner organised by Leigh Craythorne. 94 tickets sold, beautiful food and great company. At the dinner people came up to me and commented on how much they enjoyed the Annual Vintage Run that Graham Evans organised. It was a pleasure to hear that people had emailed him with thanks for a job well done! Dave Inwood tells me that the Show Weekend tour was great! There was a little bit of rain but all good. Thanks, Dave, for taking the time to arrange this popular event. Last Sunday was the Homestead run which started after Old Bikes, Coffee and Cars. We headed out Leeston/Brookside way. This was the first ever Homestead Run that I had been on that we were welcomed inside the house to see its amazing history and what had been brought into the 21st century. Ladies, it was just like a “House and Garden” tour. Down the road we went to the Brookside Church and Grave Yard where we had a talk from the local historian who also tickled the ivory keys of the church organ! Thank you Colin Hey for organising this treat. Things to look forward to this month are: Noggin - Thursday 2nd December – Christmas Cake from Father Christmas Christmas Social Friday 10th December 2021 – Leigh Craythorne Boxing Day Run – 26th December 2021 – Don and Judy Bennetts Motorcycle New Year Run - 2nd January 2022 – Paul Ainsworth Picnic Run – 9th January 2022 – John Kuipers
