ACTING CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

In these unusual and uncertain times, the branch committee has had to make decisions on finding new dates for the events on our branch calendar. (There just isn’t enough weekends in October/ November!) The organizers of these events have had to make changes to the formats (as well as the dates) not an easy task. Please support Colin Hey’s Veteran Annual Rally (transferred to 10 October) Linda White in her Women and Young Drivers Rally which has been transferred to Saturday 16 October (entries close 8 October) and the Awards Dinner now 7 November. Graham Evan’s Vintage Annual Rally is also coming up on 6 November. Our Swap Meet is now 26/27/28 November – more than enough time to offer your services to Colin (Swap Meet Chairman.) It was great to be able to get together at the OCBC last month under COVID-19 Level 2 guidelines. A good turn out on a lovely day. I think we were all pleased to be out and about in our vehicles again. A reminder to check the branch website for any change to our events. Your branch committee met by zoom for their last monthly meeting – a bit different, but it was necessary to touch base. We look forward to meeting you all again in person. There is still time to buy your tickets ($35 single from branch committee members) to attend the 2021 Awards Dinner – always a perfect time to support your fellow members at the presentation of their awards, as well as enjoying a delicious meal in the company of like-minded people.
