LIKEWISE SHIFT KNOB PRODUCT FEATURE & INSTALLATION

R

ecently, I ordered this shift knob setup up from Likewise, who is based out of Australia. I originally ordered it just after the holidays. What I didn’t see was that the adjustable stalk was on backorder for the color I had chosen (Tarmac Grey), so after the agonizing wait I had done to myself I received my shipment confirmation at the beginning of February. The package was delivered at my door only a week later, even though they are located on the other side of the globe. I ordered three different items from the down under. The piece de resistance being the “Neil Diamond” in the color “Golden Shower.” Next is the completely adjustable stalk dubbed “The Suzuka” in “Tarmac Grey.” In order to fit the new setup on my 2016 VW GTI I had to order an adapter because the 12mm stalk has no threads. The hardest part of the install was the removal of my over engineered stock shift knob. The Likewise setup was installed painlessly; the only tools needed were two hex keys. One to tighten the Euro Adapter to the stalk and the other to mount The Suzuka in my desired position.

I’ve driven with the shift knob setup for about two weeks now. The weight of the entire piece is hefty but not uncomfortably heavy. I effortlessly slide into the gears with two fingers due to the weight of the shift knob. I had it in for the Elite Tuner show on February 10th, and I got plenty of looks and compliments on it. Overall I’m completely satisfied with the purchase. From the quick shipping and easy install to the questions I get about it. Likewise has a range of knobs and extensions in plenty of colors. They often have limited run colors that sell out pretty quickly. If anyone is looking for a unique piece of flare on their ride they should definitely give them a look.

>>>>>>>>>>>>A Hot Wheel Dream: Pancho's 2010 Audi A4 Avant

T

his car is pretty well known in our local car community! It is hard to miss with a wrap this color! On top of that, Pancho's Instagram name is @fuckpancho and that draws attention all on its own. It was awesome to see a modded "family wagon" still be able to rock those crisp, high end, body lines that Audi offers.

You can catch him going out for some Sushi, trying new restaurants and road tripping! The car lives up to the family wagon name with many road trips to Utah, Red Rock, Arizona and the beach in California! If you see him around be sure to say what's up! The car's nick name is Aurora. Pancho says he has plans to widebody the car and maybe Pancho was born and raised in California and change the wrap color. No matter what he does moved to Las Vegas in middle school. He is 23 years next, I am sure it will be just as clean! old and is currently enlisted in the United States Air Force as a security forces member (Military Police). He is married to Jennifer Saucedo-Soloria Thanks: and has a stepson, Elias. Pancho has been into cars since he was a child. He started off with Hot Wheels - @Miggz.s4 (Miguel Alejandro) for like any other kid and didn't get into real cars until getting me into Clean Culture Š & high school when he bought his first car, a 1996 helping me get my car where it is today. BMW E46 323i. He immediately started modifying - How awesome for Pancho to give it and was addicted to the no sleep and long nights us a thanks! He says "Also thanks to working on his car. Pancho also says that watching @vegasautomag for giving me the the Fast & Furious movies inspired him to want opportunity to be in the magazine and to build fast cars! Fast & Furious + Hot Wheels, I it is awesome to see what you guys do" think a lot of us can relate! 12

Meet The Elite Elite Tuner Las Vegas By Michael Johnson

E

lite Tuner Car Shows are some of the largest events many of us in the car community impatiently wait for twice a year. Ranger Ramirez and Duy Nguyen come all the way from the east coast to bring this show to us. Months ahead of February 10th they put their street team to work, hyping up the Las Vegas Season Opener. With over 400 cars registered, it was obvious this show would be epic. Come show time the rides rolled in masses to the Silverton Casino parking lot until it was completely full from all four corners. People came from far and wide to represent, including teams from California, Utah, Arizona, Oregon and some even farther. Not only were the attendees putting on a show with their awesome rides, the sponsors also made a spectacle with their impressive displays including Voodoo Ride, Las Vegas Car Meets, Pasmag, R1 Concepts, Avanti Wheels, Vegas Paintless Dent Repair, Vegas Jax Wax, Vegas Valli Taqueria and more. Glistening wheels to drool over, every type of wash, wax and detailing product you could ever need, and more Bride, Sparco and Recaro backpacks than I’ve ever seen in my life! I tried to study every car in detail but there were so many to see that my eyes kept catching more! From mild to wild, the lengths at which vehicles were customized varied greatly. The love put in to each was all the same. People were proud of what they brought and it showed. It was great to see people complimenting all types of rides, stopping to take pictures and greeting strangers with a smile. The enthusiasm carried the show.

Then the real excitement began with front row seats to the twostep contest. I regret not bringing ear plugs for this part. Engulfed in a crowd, the cars went head to head competing for cleanest and loudest sounding exhaust system. There were some close calls between Jonathan Wei’s 1600HP GT-R and Allan Cabellero’s R32 Skyline, which demanded room with 10 foot flames shooting out the back. Robbie Phelps, in a seemingly unsuspecting Golf GTI, came all the way from Utah. Ultimately he became the victor, wowing the crowd with a vicious two-step that took home the award. Then came a friendly team vs team tug of war match in which the winning group would challenge another. After some smack talking and crowd cheering, Team Evade arose as the top contender. Finally, the most anticipated part of any show, the awards were announced. The judgments were dispersed with every level of competitor getting a taste of the winners circle that night and I think that was an integral part to making the event a feel good experience for all. Everyone has had good things to say about it and we await with angst the Elite Tuner Las Vegas Season Closer event September 9th.

LUXURY MEETS HYDRAULICS Josh Hoeppner's 2016 Chrysler 300 Images by Ricardo Aguilar Words by Adrian Mirabal

M

ost would take a look and assume this is either bagged or static, but they would be wrong! Josh Hoeppner’s 2016 Chrysler 300 is actually on Hydraulics! The set up on his car is flawless! He is running a Hydroholics 2 pump 4 dump system and is fully hard lined. The car is running three Kinetik HC 1800 batteries and a 36v Street Charger and Street Charger switchbox. All of this is so well put together that you would think the hydraulic setup came factory on this car! Josh is 30 years old, he was born and raised in Vegas and he is married with three daughters. He has been into cars since he can remember thanks to his dad. Where does someone get the urge to build something like this? Try working around some of the baddest cars in town everyday! Josh is the Head Honcho at WHEELhouse so it is only right for him to own something like this. He says getting the 300 was just a want! He wanted a luxury type car but knew that he wanted a domestic and not an import. He looks forward to work every day and considers it his own personal get away. Josh says one of his favorite things to do is make sure his shop is in top working order! We asked Josh what his favorite food was and ironically he didn’t have a specific favorite food but he told us that he HATED ketchup. It is a good thing he doesn’t own a RED car… All jokes aside, Josh enjoys a good gathering with friends, cruise nights and obviously building cars/trucks. Josh is tossing around the idea of letting this car go, but in "car guy" fashion, if it doesn't go, he has plans to do a motor build with cam, procharger etc and also some custom paint! Keep an eye out and you will see! Go follow him and his shop on Instagram to see what's next!

A

s a female automotive enthusiast, and Editor of this magazine, I love to get behind brands with a passion for supporting and uplifting the role of females in the automotive industry. Which is why, when I came across the brand Garage Girls, I was hooked. Garage Girls is a brand that sells jewelry and accessories that are automotive themed with a unique style. The brand was developed by Arianna Courte, she has been immersed in all things automotive since a young age. She started in drag racing and made her way into the drift scene. She now manages a Formula Drift team and heads a few small businesses. Arianna had been searching for jewelry & accessories for women that were into cars and other motorsports but found close to nothing. She did not think it was fair that guys had all the cool accessories being made. Being an entrepreneur with a love for the automotive community she took the opportunity create a brand that provides awesome products for women. The brand represents something bigger than stylish accessories; it represents the empowerment of women not only in the automotive community but everywhere. Most of her products are hand made by her. Her products range from turbo rings to charm bracelets with different automotive related charms, and so much more. I personally had the pleasure of adding the turbo ring and a piston necklace to my own stash of accessories! These products will most certainly not be my last from Garage Girls.

Turbo Rings

Fine sterling silver, hand made rings with a realistic shiny turbo set on top. Optional Swarovski Crystal (of your color choice) Women sizes 3-11mm bands.

Piston Necklaces

These come in plain or you can add Swarovski Crystals for a little girly touch! Each comes with a sterling silver 22 inch necklace. (All hypoallergenic)

FAMILY TRADITION James Sciara's 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville Images by Ricardo Aguilar Words by Alexis Solorzano

T

here is nothing more fitting than checking out James Sciara's 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville in the middle of Downtown Las Vegas! This car looks at home in front of what all of us locals know is the real downtown. As you can see in the photo on this page, this car roams the streets with elegance! As you can imagine, there has to be some story behind this build and we wanted to find out. So get to know a little about the owner and the car below! James is 35 years old. He was born in New York but moved to Las Vegas when he was 4 and has lived here ever since. His parents have owned a local pizzeria for over 30 years now (Enzo's Pizza & Ristorante) and he has been managing the business since high school. He remembers days where he had to ditch school to run the store because the cook had called out! James is engaged to the lovely Ashley Baxter, daughter of poker star, Billy Baxter. They have known each other since they were 4 years old but didn't start dating until they reconnected at their 10 year high school reunion and the rest is history! James has been into cars as long as he can remember. He bought his first car at age 15 before he even had his drivers license. He immediately found himself sending his car out to Audio Xcellence to get 3 12W6 subs and TV's in the headrest! After that he was hooked! After a long list of projects, he found himself with a car addiction with no cure! (We know the feeling) Although James has a few different cars today, this one holds some sentimental value as it has a little family history for him. Throughout his entire childhood, his grandma was a Caddy person. He remembers back in the day she would pick him and his brother up from school in her showroom condition 1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville! James says "This car was boss!". His Grandma always talked about her black on black 64 Coupe Deville that she totaled in a rain storm back east. It was one of her favorites! James Grandma passed away in 2008, she left her 76 Cadillac to his uncle. He tried to buy the car from him to keep it in the family but James said "He was a prick and sold it to some dealer off Boulder highway". In July, 2017 James decided to buy this 64 Coupe Deville. He remembered his Grandma wishing she still had hers and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to build a bad ass daily driver! (No garage queen here) His car is called The Dark Night. Overall, this car turns heads! With a full frame off restoration, LS1 engine, custom notched frame, C10 suspension conversion and so much more, James says he knows his Grandma would be proud of this car!

ince you’re in the middle of our sophomore issue, you should know by now that we want to provide more than just reading material. We want to bring you an entire new perspective to Vegas' auto scene! The Vegas Auto Mag team has started a Youtube channel to cover everything from featured rides to car shows and shop tours. The plan is to showcase the very best that our beautiful city has to offer i.e. you, the readers and things you like! For those of you who haven’t seen any of our videos yet, we’ve also started vlogging. Mainly filming us bullshitting during photo shoots, meeting up with friends at meets, and showcasing fine automobiles. Our most recent video, which was filmed and edited by our very own Recardo Media, covers all of the things I mentioned. One of our very first episodes was of the crew cruising the valley looking for cars and trucks to film. We had a blast searching for a random vehicle and coming upon a bagged ’69 Suburban. The most exciting part however, was inviting you guys to meet up with us on the spot to shoot your ride and get to know you. We hopped on Instagram live and asked who wanted to meet up with us, a few people responded but only one got picked. That was Zay with his 5.0 Mustang. Go check out the video! The goal of our YouTube channel is to show not only the population of Las Vegas, but also the rest of the world that our scene is alive and well with plenty to offer. We would love to hear your opinions on the type of content you would like to see, so comment on the videos, shoot us a DM, or talk to us when you see us around town. Subscribe to our YouTube, follow us on Instagram and turn on post notifications because you never know when we will be looking to interview you and your whip. Be on the look out!

THE RED CAR SHOW IMAGES & WORDS BY ADRIAN MIRABAL

I

t was just another weekend and we did not have any plans. I was on Facebook looking through the events when I came across a show called "Red Car Show". The main photo for the event was a lot full of nothing but RED cars! It was scheduled for Saturday, February 3rd. We decided we absolutely have to check this out! The show was held at Nostalgia Street Rods and hosted by Lugnut Productions. Big shout out to them for holding such a unique event. When we arrived, we saw a ton of cars coming and going from the lot. We were barely walking up and I already started snapping photos! Once we turned the corner to the main lot where the show was being held, all we saw was red! This show definitely lives up to its name! There was a full on stage where announcements for various activities were being made, music playing, vendors, a food truck and did we mention, tons of red cars! We walked around and checked out some of the vendors, wandered and admired some rides and just had a good time and relaxed! This show mainly featured hot rods, rat rods and classics. We would definitely recommend checking out this event to everyone. Las Vegas has a huge automotive scene, including a large hot rod following, let's take some time and enjoy it all!

ith so many awesome couples that share a passion for cars and trucks, I think we just might have to feature a couple every issue! We had so many people contact us after our Issue 1 Valentines feature! It is awesome to see the love for all things automotive start a new relationship or strengthen an existing one! Keep sharing your stories with us. Our goal with Vegas Auto Mag is to bring all types of automotive styles together in one publication and one place so it is really cool to see a couple share a common passion but with their own style to it. Paul, age 27, is seen below with his 2014 Ford F150 FX4 Prerunner and Melanie, age 28, with her 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU Willy's Wheeler Edition. Paul and Melanie met in a small town in California called Orland. He says there is not much to do there besides take what you have down to the lake and not get stuck. That was pretty much the main attraction. They were still in high school when they first met and Paul had a 1992 GMC Sierra with a 4" lift. At the time, Melanie was more into street racing but all it took was a little bit of offroading to get her into it as well! Paul says that every time it rained she would ask him if they can go out offroading and play in the mud. Fast forward to now and they have been married since 2011 with two dogs, a yellow lab named Karley and a black lab named Ruger. Paul has been stationed at Nellis Airforce base for the last 6 years as an Aircraft Maintainer and Melanie is a Dental Assistant. They both have more than capable off road vehicles and enjoy their time in the desert together. You can catch them flexing and rolling over some big rocks or hitting some high speed whoops, turns and a little jump here and there. These two do what makes them happy and you can tell!

Check out their rides on the next page!

Chasing His Dreams Darian Hosseini's 97 Right Hand Drive Toyota Chaser Images By Ricardo Aguilar Words By Clinton Rowley

Video Alert Visit www.vegasautomag.com to see behind the scenes footage of this feature.

T

here are only a few Toyota Chasers in the country and none of them are like this! Darian Hosseini, who is originally from Brazil, grew up in Oakland California and now calls Las Vegas his home. At the age of 23, he is currently training to be a commercial pilot. Add that to the fact he imported this car at such a young age, shows he is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his sky high dreams. His father used to restore classic Mercedes, and his uncle runs a dealership here in town called Dana Motors. So, I guess you could say he inherited the taste for gasoline from his family. He says that he has always been into JDM. Darian's first car was an' 84 Toyota AE86. We all know the AE86 is on almost every drift kids' most wanted list of cars. Darian says he can remember watching old drift videos and how much it made him want to get into drifting. His mother also owned a 1996 Toyota MarkII gx90 and that is the car that really got him into the X chassis. Working for his family's dealership, Darian slowly saved up enough money to buy and import his jzx100 in 2016. He says he loves to take his jzx100 Toyota Chaser out on long drives to nowhere. With the views we have in town, who could blame him! Darian is currently working on his college degree and will soon have the credentials to start flying. In his spare time, however, it's all about putting his car sideways and smoking tires on the track.

Starting next issue we will have rewards programs in place so if you shop with an advertiser/ sponsor, save your receipt and you can use it to get free swag in the future! Keep an eye out! We also had quite a few people reach out about buying magazines for their shop etc. and to see how they can help. We understand advertising is not in everyone's budget or even in their marketing plans. We do offer lower level sponsorships. This is available for brands that want to collaborate, carry the magazine, and just support the automotive community. Be sure to hit us up and ask how to get involved. Please take a moment and go back through the ads and give them a follow on social media, see if you or someone you know may be able to use their services and let them know you learned about them in Vegas Automotive Magazine. Until next time!

Basic Car Meet Guidelines From Las Vegas Car Meets

#1 Roll Out!

If you are not early, you're late! When it comes to meets they typically have an agreement with the location for a certain window of time. Don't show up too early and don't stay too late. Pre meet with your club to avoid having to come and block off spots and cause commotion. A little planning goes a long ways.

#3 Don't Trash The Spot!

Unfortunately this is the most commonly overlooked rule! It is disrespectful to the hosts who took the time to facilitate the event and can absolutely lead to losing the location. Take a moment before you leave and ensure your area is picked up. Please do this one!!

#2 Have Respect!

People from all walks of life come to enjoy car meets. Each person is proud of what they have and no one should look down on someone or their ride. Sentimental value for our vehicles is easy enough to relate to so keep that in mind. Remember, you were once a new enthusiast and your ride was not where it is today.

#4 Don't be a burnout and burnout!

Don't be the one to ruin it. Lighting up those tires does not make you look as cool as you think. It is the single most immature, annoying and hazardous thing to do at a meet. Regardless of your abilities, it only takes one mistake on your part or a bystander for disaster to strike. There is a time and place for this and it is not in a local businesses parking lot.
