BOULDER CITY, only 20 minutes from the Strip. No gambling here! They offer a 35 mile trails system, Milos, a fantastic wine bar in the heart of downtown, plenty of resale and vintage shops. A monthly wine walk, a giant Art in The Park festival in the summer. The oldest hotel in Nevada is in Boulder City, and there is a new meeting venue, the Forge Social House, which is outstanding. This is a unique meeting space which also offers, by invitation only, “one-of-a-kind” dining experiences”, usually monthly or quarterly. All you need to do to receive an invite is to visit their website and sign up or by contacting the manager and get invited to their guest list. Great for even an afternoon getaway. See the damn and look out over the lake from the city. Stroll at your leisure, and maybe have a homemade ice cream.

Whiskey Pete’s is in PRIMM on the state line and has 200 newly renovated rooms. Outlet shopping and a roller coaster here. JEAN is 10 miles closer to Las Vegas and they have renovated their rooms and added the auto museum near Goodsprings and the Seven Magic Mountain art display.

GOODSPRINGS, 1/2 way from Jean to Las Vegas has a bar that has withstood the test of time. Built in 1913, it was a tin shack ordered from Sears & Roebuck. It has been added onto, and has music and great summer barbeques. This is where Clark Gable waited to hear if his beloved Carole Lombard had died in a plane crash into a mountain.

MESQUITE, heading out the other direction to Utah. With 3 casinos, and 3 hotels, and 7 golf courses, leisure is the name of the game here. The new Rising Star Resort has 210 rooms, built to house plenty of sports teams. With pickle ball, volley ball, baseball diamonds and horseshoe pits, and rooms that can accommodate up to 12 youngsters, they have new automated robots serving in certain areas.

There is also a new Camel Safari just before you hit town which opened Nov. 18th. Stunning vistas from many areas.

Want to try skydiving? They have that too. Don’t forget to use this as the jumping off place for the Lost City Museum, and the Valley of Fire. There is a welcome center if you have questions on any adventurous trips you might want to take.

LAUGHLIN, within an hour drive, sitting on the river featuring 9000 plus rooms and now with its own event center that seats 9300 people, it has already hosted Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood and plenty of others, KISS is coming this April.

There are 9 hotels in Laughlin with 8 on the river, and 11 miles of heritage trails to explore. Take a leisurely water taxi from hotel to hotel or cross to the other side. Plenty of fabulous restaurants. The famous Chef’s fest event every year in late spring is well worth the drive. Soon there will be American Airline service flying into Laughlin, from 79 cities with only one stop. A few miles past is the frontier town of OATMAN, where wild burros will try to steal any food you have out of your hand. Lots of bikers come down every Sunday just for breakfast. Really an experience. Don’t miss the new vodka and rum distillery and the two wineries. The Animal Wildlife Sanctuary features plenty of jungle cats which the facility has helped over many years. The children will be amazed so don’t pass them by.

Vampire Legends: The Collectors, by Kamee Schrope, is a vampire tale like no other. The brilliant author has created a beautiful piece of work. Vampire fantasy has been with us for a very long time now. This is not the first book dealing with them, nor will it be the last one, but one thing is for sure; it will be a cherished piece of work for years to come. It has proven to be the best vampire book yet! Kamee Shrope came up with such an amazing concept that no one has done. The Collectors are a group within a group that have visions of the vampire legends in order to track them down before they transform and help them through the process.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it hooked me from the Prologue to the end, and I just could not put it aside. It has a great new way to look at this genre. Kamee took a story that has been done so many times and turned it into a completely different scene. I loved the characters. What I liked most about Vampire Legends is the characterization. It avoids the old cliché about all vampires being evil monsters.

Kamee treats all her characters as individuals whether they are vampires or human. I also very much like the way the romance is portrayed, Chance, the vampire romantic hero, is a whole man who is fully capable in the realms of thought, emotion and action. He can appear to be like a playful child in one moment, a wise advisor in the next moment, and a strong protector soon after that. There is so much excitement and suspense as there is a legend that was not supposed to be and the good and bad sides are looking for her, so it is a race in a way. The love story behind the whole thing is very well done! The characters are so real with their individuality and personalities that you really feel connected to them. It was a world that I did not want to end! I am so glad it is a series so that I have that much more time in this amazing world she has created that I cannot wait for the sequel.

There are originally 2 brothers who read a passage from the book called The Book of Truth, and then they become vampire.

After some time, they end up splitting to go their own ways and in their own path, 1 becomes good while 1 becomes evil. They then become the collectors and it becomes a race to reach the humans that will become vampires before the other one does. Now even though most vampires are humans that are born to become vampires, there are vampires that are turned other ways. The five Legends go about helping the good brother, while the bad brother forms a coven of his own and pits himself against his brother and the humans.

Then a child is born, and only one collector has premonition

Vampire Legends: The Collectors, de Kamee Schrope, es una historia de vampiros como ninguna otra. La talentosa autora ha creado una hermosa obra en The Vampire Legends. La fantasía del vampiro ha estado con nosotros por largo tiempo. Este no es el primer libro que trata sobre ellos, ni será el último, pero una cosa es segura; Será una obra recordada en los próximos años. ¡Ha demostrado ser el mejor libro de vampiros! Kamee Shrope logra un concepto tan increíble que nadie ha hecho. Puesto que los vampiros nacen como seres humanos, deben tener una variedad de respuestas a vivir como vampiros. También me gusta mucho la forma en que se retrata el romance, Chance, el vampiro héroe romántico, es un hombre completo que es plenamente capaz en los reinos del pensamiento, la emoción y la acción.

Puede parecer como un niño juguetón en un momento, un consejero sabio en el momento siguiente, y un protector fuerte poco después de eso. Filled with chaos, excitement, romance, sensuality and more, this story sends Chance and Karamee down a path of undeniable love and despair, leading to the climatic event that may prove to be Karamee’s demise.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves this genre, as this take will simply blow you away. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a movie in the near future.

About the Author: Kamee Shrope was born in northern Utah.

Even as a child, her keen imagination led to her immersion in the world of books. Giving her creativity free reign, she began to develop ideas for her own novels. Ultimately, she hit upon a concept that became all-consuming: Vampire Legends. She lived in Las Vegas and now she resides in Utah where she is a brilliant Real Estate Agent and I bet she is still waiting to meet a vampire in real life.

The U.S. hotel industry will see a healthy boom in 2017, 33,000 new rooms under the plan at top 10 most active markets.

A research report from Lodging Econometrics showed that an estimated 8,612 new rooms in the pipeline for 2017.

Bruce Ford, senior vice president of development at Lodging Econometrics said that the rooms opening in these markets would be the first wave of new hotel supply in a healthy hotel market for owners.

He continued that for hotels, there is a steady increase in hotel room nights sold and is, thus supportive of the going investments in new developments.

Among some notable Manhattan projects are: a 315-room CitizenM Hotel in lower Manhattan, a 14-room Restoration Hardware Hotel by the furniture store in the Meatpacking District, and the 190-room SLS Hotel New York designed

by Philippe Starck. It will be a busy year for SLS, as it is also slated to open this summer in Seattle with 184 rooms and views of Elliott Bay Boutique hotel guru Ian Schrager will open the 370-room Public in the lower East Side.

In collaboration with Marriott International, he will also debut his second EDITION hotel in New York, a 450-room property in midtown.

Marriott will bring to Manhattan one of its newest brands, the 266-room AC Hotel by Marriott, in the Financial District.

Marriott will also introduce its Moxy brand to New York City with a 612-room property near Pennsylvania Station. Queens is getting a 108-room Hyatt Place in Long Island City. And Aloft will open at New York LaGuardia Airport. The Bronx will get a 62-room Holiday Inn Express.

The latter half of Staten Island will have a new 190-room hotel which is till unnamed. The largest hotel opening in 2017 is projected to be the 1,200-room Marriott Marquis at McCormick Place in Chicago. the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown will become part of the tallest U.S. building west of the Mississippi River when the Wilshire Grand Center opens this year.

Ernest Wooden Jr., president and CEO of Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, says he expects 9,000 new hotel rooms to be added by the end of 2018. As room inventory has increased, it has almost immediately been absorbed because the demand is so great, he says.

Kimpton is also planning two hotels the Kimpton Downtown Charlotte and the Kimpton Charlotte Dilworth/South End Hotel. The 216-room Kimpton Downtown Charlotte will have 9,175 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant, a fitness center and a 7,500-square-foot indoor/outdoor rooftop bar.

The 128-room Kimpton Charlotte Dilworth/South End Hotel will feature 4,500 square feet of meeting and event space, a restaurant, outdoor pool and bar, and a rooftop area with views of the skyline.

A LIFETIME SPENT FIGHTING TO PROTECT NEVADA FAMILIES. Catherine Cortez Masto has spent her career fighting to protect Nevada families. Cortez Masto served two terms as Nevada’s Attorney General and became well known for her integrity and leadership on behalf of Nevada families, women, and seniors.

As the chief law enforcement officer of Nevada, Cortez Masto worked closely with law enforcement, treatment providers, and community advocates to combat the use and distribution of methamphetamines. She helped pass new laws to crack down on meth manufacturers and restrict the sale of materials used to make the drug.

To aid middle-class families and protect consumers and homeowners, Cortez Masto created the Mortgage Fraud Strike Force to investigate and prosecute fraudulent foreclosure rescue and loan modification scams. And she led the fight against foreclosure fraud, securing an estimated $1.9 billion from big banks on behalf of Nevada homeowners as part of the National Mortgage Settlement.

Prior to her service as Attorney General, Cortez Masto worked as an Assistant County Manager for Clark County, Nevada. She also served as a federal criminal prosecutor for the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. and was Chief of Staff to Governor Bob Miller. She currently resides in Las Vegas with her husband Paul.

Both Trump and Hillary Clinton appealed to their respective voter base with passion and ferocity trying to convince as many voters as possible that only their vision could and would lead the country for the benefit of their constituents and successfully guide the United States through the challenges it faces on the domestic and international fronts.

What should the public hope for and expect from Trump, who speaks his mind without fear of public perception, but has surpassed almost everyone’s expectations in going from his birthplace in Queens in New York City to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

As such, we can expect to see less regulation, more corporate mergers, a revival of the Keystone pipeline and others, and more aggressive drilling in the never-ending search for oil. The public’s demand for a higher federal minimum wage will be abandoned and wage setting will be left to the states and the private sector. Trump neither drinks nor smokes so that part of the population that is hoping for the federal government to decriminalize marijuana will not see that occur in the next four years.

The process has already begun to repeal The Affordable Care Act (ACA) known better as Obamacare as the premium increases along with the higher deductibles along with less choice have made the plan less appealing each year since its’ inception. The less fortunate individuals that require health care will still have access to it under the further expansion of Medicaid and for the aging, Medicare.

Betsy DeVos, President Trump’s education secretary is a major proponent of charter school education and is adamantly opposed to the controversial common core curriculum. Look for the Department of Education to introduce a dramatic revamping of federal education programs and guidelines.

After the economy, the public’s next major concern was terrorism, a word that seems to enter our lives daily from unfortunate actions that occur around the world and are accelerating. The US approach to foreign policy will be the biggest noticeable difference between the Obama administration and the Trump administration.

The Department of Defense budget for 2017 is $582.7 billion and those funds will be overseen by the new Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, who retired from the United States Marine Corps after 44 years and rising to the rank of General and being appointed as Commander of the US Joint Forces command by President Bush and to Commander of US Central Command by President Obama. He is almost universally revered by Republicans and Democrats alike as an intellect, a keen military strategist and a no excuses approach to warfighting. The Veterans Administration will be overhauled and look for a public/private sector option to treat veterans in the future. While there will be a concerted effort by the administration to calm the social discord that currently exists there will not be any further expansion of individual rights as the Trump administration believes that when everyone is protected, no one is protected.

President Trump, against all odds and running the most unorthodox campaign in the history of presidential politics, managed to upset the previously protected class of politicians in winning the white house and now seeks to change how the US does business so that it can benefit those who call the United States home.

We should all hope he surprises everyone again and is successful.

Lo que hizo El señor Trump, fue firmar, un acta de declaración de: YO CONTRA EL MUNDO. Es mi planeta son mis reglas y ustedes hacen lo que yo digo y punto, así como ha sido la frase que ha usado en algunos de sus ya famosos trinos, “Habrá consecuencias”. SF 49ers 2016 season ends in turmoil By~Por: Ronbo Sports

The 49ers season should have been shot and killed in week 8 to put all of us who care out of our misery. 2016 will go down as one of the worst seasons in 49ers history with player personnel going down to injury, after injury at an outrageous rate.

However, if you were to ask 49ers fans all over the world if they had known they would be rewarded for their pain, and suffering at the end of the 2016 season by witnessing the dismissal of Trent Baalke it may have been worth it. The evil has been removed. Trent Baalke has finally been dismissed.

The fan base is now healing like an outpatient who had a tumor removed. I could go on with these analogies for hours but the anger aside it’s a wonderful time within the ranks of the 49ers fan base as we now look towards a future that holds promise.

I still believe that the dismissal of head coach Chip Kelly was misjudged. Chip Kelly bravely went into a rebuilding situation that was as big a task as it was mainly because of Trent Baalke’s lack of fortifying the roster with better player personnel as he should have. There was no way Kelly was going to make a winner out of that 49ers team within one season. The fan base is split over the decision of firing Kelly with the bigger percentage appreciating Kelly’s exit, but many remain curious as to how he would have done with a stronger roster.

Jed York with his annual address in a failed attempt, tried to assure everyone that he has the situation under control as the 49ers move forward to replace both the general manager position, as well as the head coaching position.

The candidates so far have been all familiar famous names, as York’s intentions are to pursue from the ranks of the NFL’s biggest winning teams of (2016) like the Patriots, Redskins, Packers, Seahawks, and others.

The 49ers objective is to bring a winning culture back to Levi’s Stadium. This is a concept that has been sorely missed for the past 3years, and strangely enough since the 49ers first entered their new home in Santa Clara. The search for the next 49ers leaders is approaching a week long. It is speculated that a general manager could be chosen within the next few days to be followed by the appointment of a head coach shortly thereafter.

So we’ve reached the half way point of the Hockey season.

Predictions for the playoffs? Teams are aligning themselves, and have had a chance to “match-up” with each other thus far. We’re all pretty confident that our Sharks are going to make the playoffs, and hold a pretty good spot in terms of how they finish. Very important how you finish, and the spot you end up, as Home ice advantage becomes very important to the teams. Our take is that the kings and the Sharks will both finish strong within their perspective division. The Anaheim Ducks will falter yet again. They play very well during the season, but they rely to heavy on their “do it all line” as they have become quite known throughout the league. This is Anaheim’s fourth line. By Far the best fourth line in the NHL, but won’t be enough to get them done.

If the rankings were to be taken today, you would have to have Columbus as the #1 team in the NHL. They are playing incredible hockey right now. But, our boys here in San Jose are continuing to grind it out, and will make a very good showing in the playoffs. A lot of hockey left though. It’s going to be a tight race all the way down. 7-points separate the first five teams in the standings, with our Sharks a top of the leader board.

Brent Burns is having a career year, as he leads the Sharks in points, just above the Captain Joe Pavelski. Personally, and I know I speak for a lot of the San Jose Fans; I would love to see Patrick Marleau Hoist the Cup. If our boys can stay healthy, we have another very good chance to get to the final show.

Stay tuned, as we head to the final stretch of the season, and teams make their final move(s) to get into the playoffs. In Hockey, it really doesn’t make too much of a factor if you’re in that final spot, or a top of the playoff spot. When you get into the playoffs, the “gloves are off”, and its desperation hockey non-stop. Are the playoffs fun to watch? You betcha. San Jose is yet again, that team to watch, who brings their Lunch pail to work, and simply gets it done.

The Super Bowl is coming up soon. Chances are you’ll be watching it on a TV, possibly along with a bunch of other people. Here’s how to get the most out of the biggest TV viewing experience of the year.

If you’re not among the 72,000-odd lucky fans who get to watch the game in person at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, you’ll probably be among the 110 million-plus people watching it on a TV. Here’s how to make that TV look its best for the biggest game of the year.

THE BIG PLAY The bigger the TV, the better. Football is presented primarily in a press box view, with a lot of the field visible at once, studded with all-too-tiny players. More so than most TV programs, it’s best suited to larger screens. You’ll get a better experience watching on as large a TV as you have available.

It’s not too late to buy one, and prices are at their lowest points of the year. But maybe you’re perfectly happy with your current TV. If it’s smaller, you can get a big screen effect “for free” by sitting closer. High-def TVs and 4K TVs usually look great even from very close distances, so it might be worthwhile to move your seat closer to the TV for the game.

That is, if doing so won’t obscure the screen for your friends.

CONNECT ON THE HDMI PASS FOR 720P YARDS. The first thing you want to do is make sure the TV is set up correctly. If you have a high-definition cable or satellite box, make sure it’s connected via HDMI. Fox is handling the broadcast this year, which will be in 720p resolution.

Generally, you’ll get the best results if you set your box to output either 720p resolution of “native” resolution, which allows your 1080p or 4K TV, not the box, to handle the conversion. (Unfortunately, there’s no 4K broadcast of the game). You’ll also want to make sure you’re tuned to the high-def versions of the broadcast. Most cable and satellite providers in the US carry both HD and standard-definition channels, and provided you have a compatible TV, HD will look much better.

CALL THE AUDIBLE You should also get your audio set up correctly. If you’re using the TV speakers for audio, set your box to output stereo as opposed to 5.1 surround sound (Dolby Digital). But hopefully

you’re using an external audio system or sound bar, which can not only deliver real or simulated surround sound (perfect for that great crowd noise) but also much better dialogue. No matter what you use to listen to the game, try playing around with the sound controls. Many TVs and external sound systems have a multiband equalizer that lets you decrease certain frequencies independently of others, quieting those sounds you don’t want to hear. If your equipment doesn’t have an equalizer, try experimenting with a sound mode or even the basic bass and treble controls. And if you happen to be listening to Fox’s 5.1-channel surround-sound broadcast on a surround system, you can turn down the center channel to minimize the dialogue from the announcers. Conversely, if you’d rather hear them over the crowd, turn down the other speakers (left, right and surround) and turn up the center.

TOSS A BRIGHT SPIRAL At CNET, we calibrate the picture settings of every TV we review to get the best picture quality. If you happen to own one of the TVs we’ve reviewed, you can actually try our calibrated settings yourself. Of course, our calibrations happen in a dark room, and your room might be brighter, especially if you’re on the west coast where kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. If the picture seems too dim, try increasing the backlight control, which boosts the power of the illumination (typically LEDs) behind the LCD screen.

If you have a plasma or OLED TV, try increasing Contrast or Cell Light or OLED Light control instead. Also, be sure to disable any room lighting sensors, automatic brightness controls or energy-saver controls.

GET A GREEN GRIDIRON During our calibrations, we attempt to get the most accurate color possible. For football, the most common color you’ll see is the green of the field. The human eye is very sensitive to green, and you can usually tell if grass looks too brownish or dull, or too yellowish or vibrant. When you’re watching football, you want as natural and accurate a color green as possible. One of the best ways to assure accurate colors, including green, is to engage the Movie or Cinema preset. It sounds counterintuitive, but Movie usually provides a more accurate color green than Sports or other picture modes.

Those are often punched-up and oversaturated-looking, with greens that are much more intense than in real life. If you like the punchy look, on the other hand, maybe you’ll prefer one of those modes to a more accurate one. On some TVs, unfortunately, Movie will look too dark, even if you turn up the Backlight or Contrast all the way. If that’s the case, choose a brighter picture mode and look for a control called “color space” or something similar. There, you’ll want to choose the “HD” or “Auto” or “Rec 709” setting, not the “Native” setting.

You may also be able to get the grass looking more natural by decreasing the color control.

DON’T MUFF THE EXTRA POINT!

If you won’t be making the trek to Houston or buying a new TV, at least you now have some ideas for getting your TV and home theater into prime shape for kickoff. Now feel free to redecorate your man cave in Falcons red or Patriots red, white and blue, invite your buddies over and scream at the screen, knowing it looks its best.

Naturalmente, nuestra calibración se da en una habitación oscura y es posible que tu habitación sea más iluminada, sobre todo en la costa oeste donde el partido empezará a las 3:30 p.m. Si la imagen te parece demasiado brillante, prueba a aumentar el control de retroalimentación, encargado de incrementar el poder de iluminación (normalmente LEDs) detrás de la pantalla LCD. Si tienes un televisor de plasma o OLED, prueba a aumentar el contraste o “Cell Light” o Control de luz OLED. Y asegúrate de desactivar sensores de iluminación en la habitación, controles automáticos de brillo o controles para ahorrar energía.

Parece contradictorio, pero Cine normalmente ofrece un verde más preciso que Deportes (Sports) u otros modos de imagen. Normalmente, en esas modalidades los colores se ven exagerados o saturados, con verdes mucho más intensos que los de la vida real. Si te gusta ese aspecto más vibrante, sin embargo, quizá prefieras esas modalidades a una más natural. Desgraciadamente, en algunos televisores el modo Cine se ve muy oscuro incluso si aumentas la retroiluminación o el contraste. Si ese es el caso, elige el modo de imagen más brillante y busca un control llamado “espacio de color” o algo así. Ahí, elige la configuración “HD”, “Auto” o “Rec 709”, no la “Nativa” (Native). Podrías también lograr un aspecto más natural del pasto si bajas el nivel del control de color.

Listos Si no vas a viajar hasta Houston o comprar un televisor nuevo, al menos ahora tienes algunas ideas para que tu televisor o sistema de cine en casa estén en perfecto estado antes del inicio del partido. Y ahora ya puedes redecorar tu cueva en rojo de los Halcones o rojo, blanco y azul de los Patriotas e invitar a tus amigos y a gritarle a la pantalla.

Chances are you’ve heard of virtual and augmented reality — colloquially known as VR and AR. If not, you will soon. VR and AR devices were named Forbes’ top tech trend for 2016 . With easy access to AR apps and companies like HTC and Samsung producing affordable VR devices, it may appear that we’ve reached the golden age of this technology, but I believe this is just the beginning.

Virtual reality devices, which provide consumers a digital experience that mimics the real world, were some of the highest-grossing tech in 2016, with sales of the top four brands reaching nearly $11 million . Augmented reality, or real-world environments that are augmented by computergenerated sensory inputs, found its stride in July with the mobile game Pokémon GO . Higher-end models that provide a more immersive experience, like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, offer a glimpse of what the future holds, but breakthroughs in technology and greater access to these devices may very well be accelerating their evolution.

For years, we’ve salivated over the potential of virtual and augmented reality — a potential that has yet to be full realized. We’ve dreamed of operating Tony Stark’s floating virtual computer screen from the Iron Man movies or receiving hologram video messages projected in the air like in the Star Wars films. Hollywood has the ability to manipulate technology beyond its current capabilities, but some of the “futuristic” technology we see in movies may not be closer than we think.

Holograms and virtual computer screens are probably still about a decade away from being fully realized and available to consumers, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have access to tech that is pretty similar. The Microsoft HoloLens, an augmented reality headset device, enables users to project computer generated graphics that interact with the real world. I’ve tested the RoboRaid app, which uses spatial mapping to turn your room into a virtual battlefield to fight flying robots that interact with real world objects like walls, desks and people . The current list of apps for the HoloLens is limited now, but Microsoft is working with numerous partners to develop mixed reality apps for work, play and education.

The groundbreaking technology the HoloLens currently offers paired with its future potential is what convinced me to add it to our inaugural technology showcases at the RedFlint Experience Center in downtown Las Vegas.

RedFlint, sparked by University of Phoenix, is an incubator, accelerator and shared thinking space that offers access to the latest and greatest technology. We hope that companies, entrepreneurs and tech-curious people in Las Vegas will stop by the center to demo the HoloLens, HTC Vive, Double Robotics telepresence robots and other hands-on showcase technology. I believe the more people can experience this burgeoning technology, the more progress we can make,

Con un fácil acceso a las aplicaciones de RA y empresas como HTC y Samsung que producen dispositivos de RV asequibles, puede parecer que hayamos alcanzado la edad de oro de esta tecnología, pero opino que esto es sólo el comienzo.

Los dispositivos de realidad virtual, que proporcionan a los consumidores una experiencia digital que imita al mundo real, fueron algunos de los productos tecnológicos de mayor venta en 2016, con ventas de las cuatro principales marcas que ascendieron a cerca de $11 millones. La realidad aumentada, o los entornos del mundo real que son aumentados por entradas sensoriales generadas por computadora, alcanzaron su zénit en julio con el juego móvil Pokémon GO. Los modelos de alta gama que proporcionan una experiencia más inmersiva, como el Oculus Rift y HTC Vive, ofrecen una visión de lo que depara el futuro, pero los avances en la tecnología y un mayor acceso a estos dispositivos pueden muy bien estar acelerando su evolución.

El HoloLens de Microsoft, un dispositivo tipo casco de realidad aumentada, permite a los usuarios proyectar gráficos generados por computadora que interactúan con el mundo real. I am extremely excited about the practical future applications of VR and AR in education. Soon, we may see these technologies immersion into the classroom to enhance the student learning experience. Engineering students, for example, could use virtual reality to build and test robots.

Companies could also use this tech to enhance business capabilities. Imagine an interior designer who could experiment with augmented reality furniture and décor in an empty room. VR and AR have the ability to take education and business to yet-unreached heights.

For now, we must continue to innovate so that the future of virtual and augmented realities can reach the level we see in movies and science fiction. Current technology, like the HoloLens and HTC Vive, provide a solid foundation for growth and a hope for the future, but it is on us to make our dreams a reality. I believe we will experience a future where students learn and interact in a virtual space and consumers experience life like never before. That current landscape of VR and AR is promising and I think it’s just getting started .

Esperamos que las compañías, los empresarios y las personas que sienten curiosidad por la tecnología y se encuentren en Las Vegas visiten el centro para ver demostraciones de los robots de telepresencia de HoloLens, HTC Vive y Double Robotics, además de otras tecnologías prácticas que se están mostrando. Por ahora, debemos seguir innovando para que el futuro de las realidades virtuales y aumentadas pueda alcanzar el nivel que vemos en el cine y la ciencia ficción. La tecnología actual, como HoloLens y HTC Vive, proporciona una base sólida para el crecimiento y una esperanza para el futuro, pero transformar nuestros sueños en realidad es algo que depende de nosotros mismos.
