THE OTHER DRIVER DOESN’T HAVE CAR INSURANCE. NOW WHAT?

It is possible that at some point in your life you will be involved in a car accident. When this happens, one driver or the other is to blame, and the insurance issue begins. A big problem can arise if the responsible driver does not have enough insurance, or even has no insurance to cover the damage from the accident. If this happens, it is important for you to know what your next step should be, and what common mistakes you should avoid in order to get compensation for medical expenses and to repair your vehicle. DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT OR CASH ON THE SCENE The responsible party could offer you cash at the scene to expedite the process and resolve the repair bill without involving the police and insurance companies. And while the idea may sound nice at the moment, especially if you have children in the car, you are running late for work or if you are in the middle of a terrible traffic, taking money on the scene is never a good idea. The estimation of vehicle damage is difficult to know at that moment, and although your pain may seem minimal, some injuries are not immediately evident. There are certain types of coverage that can protect you against drivers who do not have insurance. However, if you do not have this type of coverage, your only option may be to sue the other party or pay for the damages out of your own pocket. If the driver that hurt you does not have car insurance your best solution for compensation is to file a claim under your own uninsured/underinsured (UM/IUM) motorist policy. This is optional insurance that you can purchase for your car that your should always have in order to protect yourself from those drivers that hurt you that either do not have any liability car insurance of their own, or do not have enough liability car insurance to pay your for your injuries. This is a policy for your own well being and protection. If you do not have it you are then driving around the city hoping that the driver that injured you was responsible enough to have liability insurance. This is a bad decision. In the worst case, if the other party refuses to provide your information for any reason, you can try to get as much information as quickly as possible. Here are some things you should do if you are involved in a collision: - Take pictures of the accident. Include the location and condition of your car, as well as that of the other driver’s car. Make sure to get their license plate number. - Write down the color, make, model, and registration number of the other car, as well as any details you may remember about the other driver. - Keep in mind the “when” and “where” of the accident, as you will need to inform the police of those details. - Look for witnesses at the scene and ask them if they would be willing to serve as a witness on your behalf. The most important thing to remember when dealing with an uninsured driver is to call the police, even if the damage seems minimal, and even if the person asks you not to call. If your accident results in serious bodily harm to you, you will need to speak with an experienced accident lawyer.

Este es un seguro para su propio bienestar y protección. Si usted no lo tiene, entonces usted esta conduciendo de cierta manera desprotegido; esto es una mala decisión. En el peor de los casos, si la otra parte se niega a proporcionar su información por cualquier razón, usted puede tratar de obtener la mayor cantidad de información lo más rápido posible. Aquí algunas cosas que puede hacer en el momento: - Tomar fotografías del choque. X Burlesque at The Flamingo with its diamond anniversary confirms what a huge success producers Angela and Matt Stabile are in Las Vegas. Every year they add new acts, new songs and increasingly more talented dancers. With their media night celebrating 15 years last week, the group, who is in Bugsy’s Cabaret showroom, was an outstanding success. Meeka Onstead, onboard since the very first day, is still a super star. With her pole numbers, she defies gravity and beauty along with looking flawless in her silk acts. Tiffany Molyneaus, an absolute stunning redhead, along with Emilie Condamine from Paris, Stephanie Smith and Whitney Grion are something to never miss. Caroline McClain from England, in a bathtub routine, and the newest X girl Amanda Sampson should be with X Burlesque forever along with another recently added cast member, Danielle Aveyard. There is a new number “Dirty Girl’ which is a tribute to all pole dancers. Meeka performs in the center of the room, so everyone can get a ‘Birdseye” view. Nicole Taylor is the lady in the bungee routine. Shows are nightly at 10 p.m., with tickets starting around $60. First of all, I pour ground coffee in the coffee pot and, so I patiently wait, while the coffee scent takes over the kitchen space, and little by little over the whole house; at this hour is a daydream for the nose.
Son las 3:00 a.m., del nuevo domingo que llega; preparo los carbones para encender el cilindro, que no es otra cosa que un ahumador u horno portátil a carbón o leña, en forma de cilindro. Antes de todo, vierto café molido en la cafetera y, así espero pacientemente, mientras el olor a café pasado se apodera del espacio de la cocina, y poco a poco de toda la casa; a esa hora es un sueño despierto para el olfato.
Coffee, for me, takes part of a ritual from many years ago; the same as it is for millions of people, who start their daily activities. This early morning, the scent mixes with the smell of charcoal newly heating up, so it promptly becomes brace and cooks the meats which I’ll put in the cylinder.

In XVIII century, with European immigrants, coffee comes to America. Later, it starts being cultivated in Center and South America. In Peru starts to produce in Chanchamayo, Moyobamba, Jaen, Huanuco and Cuzco, in majority for exportation and a pinch for local consume, as it happens until today. The first Lima cafeteria opens in the year of 1791. At this time, the grand opening of coffees-restaurants in Lima; truly specialist cafeterias, with innovative extraction methods for the public, which alone and for a bad habit, always consumed soluble or instant coffee, by the way, of poor quality. So, there is a growing culture on this spiritual and magical beverage, in the Peruvian capital. Just as Peru is recognized, by other countries, for its splendid cuisine; the same way, the Peruvian coffee, even many don’t know, has very good quality and it’s recognized globally as an excellent organic coffee. I have several passions, among them are, obviously, coffee, grilled meats or cylinder, and pisco, unique and Peruvian. These three suit me, always every Sunday, from 3:00 a.m., to 8:00 p.m., which is when I close my Sunday. Pisco is grapes distilled, Peruvian denomination source, developed from fermented wine of certain grape variety. Coffee and Pisco - Macerado de Café/Macerated Coffee - is a combination of my invention, which I denominated TOSTONI, is not something else than grain coffee placed in a bottle, where I add pisco and let it macerate or rest for 2 months minimum. For closing my Sunday, and after chopped meat portion; I take a large glass and fill it with ice cubes, add two ounces of this macerated coffee, add ginger ale, mix it until it’s homogeneous, and enjoy it smoothly tasting, in this beverage, the pisco and coffee at the same time. Make yours and you’ll see you’ll be delighted!
En el siglo XVIII, con los inmigrantes europeos, llega a América el café. Luego, se empieza a cultivar en Centro y Sudamérica. En el Perú se empieza a producir en Chanchamayo, Moyobamba, Jaén, Huánuco y Cuzco, en su mayoría para la exportación y poco para el consumo local, como hasta la fecha sucede. El primer café de Lima se da por el año 1791. Hoy por hoy, se ve una gran apertura de café-restaurantes en Lima; verdaderas cafeterías de especialidad, con métodos de extracción novedosos para el público, que solo y por una mala costumbre, siempre consumió café soluble o instantáneo, por cierto, de pésima calidad. Es así, que hay una cultura creciente en esta bebida espirituosa y mágica, en la capital peruana. Así como el Perú es reconocido, por muchos países, por su espléndida gastronomía; de igual forma, el café peruano, aunque muchos no lo saben, es de muy buena calidad y reconocido a nivel mundial como un excelente café orgánico. Tengo varias pasiones, entre estas están, obviamente, el café, las carnes a la parrilla o al cilindro y el pisco, único y peruano. Estas tres van conmigo, siempre todos los domingos, desde las 3:00 a.m., hasta las 8:00 p.m., que es cuando ya cierro mi domingo. El pisco es un destilado de uvas, denominación de origen peruano, elaborado a partir del vino fermentado de ciertas variedades de uvas. Café y Pisco - Macerado de Café es una combinación de mi invensión, a la cual denominé TOSTONI, que no es otra cosa que el café en grano depositado en una botella, donde le agrego el pisco y lo dejo macerar o reposar durante mínimo 2 meses. Ya para cerrar mi domingo, y luego de haber picado porciones de carnes; agarro un vaso largo y lo lleno de cubos de hielo, le agrego dos onzas de este macerado de café, agrego ginger ale, lo muevo para mezclar de manera homogénea, y lo disfruto suavemente degustando, en esta bebida, el pisco y el café a la misma vez. ¡Haz el tuyo propio y verás que quedarás encantado!

BLUE RIBBON LAS VEGAS opened June 8th with a huge media party serving up some of their most famous dishes. Twenty five years ago two brothers opened a small restaurant in New York, which now has become a city staple. They are known for signature items such as beef marrow and fried chicken. In their part saloon, part oyster bar, part culinary tour there are cheese fondues, Pan Roasted Skate with Crispy Potatoes, Pan Roasted Dover Sole with Artichokes and Capers, and a famous shellfish and caviar experience over ice with oysters, lobster, crab, clams and shrimp. Chandeliers are everywhere, with tinted cement and antique wall tiles behind. There is a beautiful mahogany bar and plenty of table tops, along with a private dining space and a private entrance. Located on the 3rd floor of the Hotel Cosmopolitan, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill was the former occupant since 2010. The brothers Eric and Bruce Bromberg started at le Cordon Bleu in Paris when they were in their early 20’s. There are now more a dozen restaurants and bars in New York City alone. Although your lip makeup seems very easy, there are some tricks that will make them look more attractive and moisturized. For this, you will need the following products: - A lip balm. I usually use a product called BLISTEX LIP MEDEX, which helps me moisturize the dry lips. You can find it in drugstores, but you can use any moisturizing lip balm.

Aunque maquillar los labios parezca algo sumamente fácil, hay algunos trucos que los harán lucir más atractivos e hidratados. Para ello, necesitarás los siguientes productos:
- A lip liner in a neutral tone or one of your lipstick color.
-Bálsamo para labios. Yo, generalmente, uso un producto llamado BLISTEX LIP MEDEX, que me ayuda a hidratar los labios resecos. Lo encuentras en las farmacias, pero puedes usar cualquier bálsamo hidratante para labios.
- A thin and flat synthetic hair brush, to apply the lipstick.
-Delineador de labios de un tono neutral o del color de tu labial.
- A seasonal tone lipstick.
-Brocha de pelo sintético delgada y plana, para aplicar el lápiz labial.
- A lip gloss (optional). - Concealer. 1. Exfoliate your lips softly. Do it at least once a week. 2. Apply the balm. This will help those uncomfortable pellets disappear. This step is necessary, especially if you use long-lasting lipsticks, which are the ones that tend to dry a little the lips skin. 3. Line your lips, as much to the outline as in the inner part. 4. With the thin and flat synthetic hair brush, apply your lipstick. Do it always taking care not to exceed the contours. 5. Apply a little lip gloss to give your lips freshness. 6.Finally, use your make-up concealer, and outline the outside of the lips. This will make your lipstick not run. The beauty is you!

There are certain habits we have mastered and these are a part of our daily routine. However, there are some that aren´t so easy to stick to. Making exercise a regular habit can be hard. Let´s compare it to one well-established habit to get a better perspective on why and how we can be more successful in making exercise a regular part of our daily routine.
Hay ciertos hábitos que hemos dominado y éstos son parte de nuestra rutina diaria. Sin embargo, hay algunos que no son tan fáciles de acatar. Incorporar el ejercicio a nuestra rutina diaria puede ser un hábito difícil de crear. Para obtener una mejor perspectiva de por qué y cómo poder convertirlo en un hábito exitoso, hay que compararlo con un hábito que ya tenemos bien establecido.

Maybe because we do not know where to start or maybe because we don´t see the true benefit that this can bring us.

Exercising teaches you responsibility for your health and your happiness. Most of us get up and brush our teeth without even thinking, it is just something that our mind and body are used to doing. It’s a habit we developed at an early age. Exercising is not something we are regularly taught in the same manner but it is something we can learn to love and a habit we can develop. Look at it this way; If for some reason something happened that forced us to not brush our teeth, we would be very uncomfortable and we would find a way to make sure we do not have bad breath. The concept of exercise is very similar but we don´t normally see it like that. In fact, both brushing your teeth and performing regular exercise are essential health habits but why do we find it so easy to carry out one on a daily basis while the other is harder to stick to? Exercise is something that helps you feel good not only physically but also emotionally, but rarely are we consistent enough to turn it into a permanent habit. Just like when you don´t brush your teeth you feel uncomfortable, when you do not exercise, your body asks for healthy actions but over time we learn to ignore them. We have to stop ignoring our body´s pleads for physical activity. Once we are able to start making exercise a regular part of our life we not only look good but we feel good. Taking responsibility for your health and habits allows you to live a fuller and happier life. EXERCISING TEACHES YOU TO HAVE DISCIPLINE AND FAITH. We already established that just as brushing your teeth makes you feel good, so does exercise, but why then is one harder to stick to? Maybe the problem is that the consequences are not lived the same way. No one says to you: “Excuse me, I do not want to be rude but you did not exercise today,”

Cuando no haces ejercicio tu cuerpo te pide acciones saludables pero con el tiempo aprendemos a ignorarlas. Debemos dejar de ignorar las suplicas de nuestro cuerpo de ser más activos. Debemos ser más responsables de nuestra salud y de nuestros hábitos para lograr vivir una vida más plena. HACER EJERCICIO TE ENSEÑA A TENER DISCIPLINA Y FE. Hacer ejercicio al igual que lavarte los dientes te hace sentir bien, pero tal vez el problema es que las consecuencias no se viven de la misma manera. Right? However, it is not uncommon for someone to say something about your breath when you do not brush your teeth. This is an important factor and one of the reasons why more discipline is required when it comes to exercise. Nobody tells you anything if you do not do it. Exercising is an act of inner self-love that you yourself have to learn to carry out. It also requires faith to be constant since the results or consequences of doing or not exercising are seen in the long run, not immediately. EXERCISING TEACHES YOU TO BE CONSISTENT. Many would argue that brushing your teeth does not take more than 3 minutes. Maybe that’s why it’s so easy to do this. Exercising takes about 30 minutes or an hour. This makes it hard to incorporate it into a busy lifestyle. However it does not necessarily have to be this way. It is not about lasting hours making exaggerated efforts at the gym. Start with something small, something you can stick to everyday. The key is to be consistent. You can start with 3 minutes. We all have 3 minutes. Sit against the wall doing a static squat for 50 seconds for 3 times while you check your Facebook. Do planks for 30-seconds 3 times while reading your email on the cell phone. Stand and sit in the chair repeatedly while reading the newspaper for 3 minutes. There are numerous ways to exercise without necessarily “wasting time”. Focus on being consistent and when you can achieve at least 1 to 3 minutes of daily exercise every day for a whole month, then add another two minutes of jogging in your place or crunches or some other simple exercise you can do anywhere. This will make it easier to be constant and it will help you build better exercise habits even if it is a little at a time. You may not see great achievements in your physique immediately but I can guarantee that achieving this daily will surely make you feel better about yourself. EXERCISING HELPS YOU TO GROW AS A PERSON. If you focus on working out for the right reasons, exercise can help you grow in many aspects of life. It is not always about your physical appearance, as many people believe. Of course it’s nice to look good or lose a few extra pounds, but exercising goes beyond this. It is about how you feel, it is about the love you give yourself and the time you invest in you. Make exercise your priority not for what you are going to see in the exterior but for what you feel in your interior. Making time to exercise is about more than just physical wellness, it is about growing, learning, valuing yourself, getting to know yourself as only you can, giving yourself what you deserve: love.

Esto hace que sea algo difícil incorporarlo de forma habitual a un estilo de vida muy ocupado. Sin embargo no necesariamente tiene que ser así. No se trata de durar muchas horas o un largo tiempo haciendo esfuerzos exagerados. Comienza con algo pequeño diario pero que sea constante. Comienza con 3 minutos. Todos tenemos 3 minutos. Siéntate contra la pared haciendo una sentadilla estática por 50 segundos 3 veces mientras revisas tu Facebook. Has una plancha de 30 segundos durante 3 minutos mientras lees tu correo en el celular. Párate y siéntate de la silla rápida y continuamente mientras lees el periódico por 3 minutos. Hay muchas formas de ejercitarte sin necesariamente “perder el tiempo”. Enfócate en ser constante y cuando puedas lograr hacer al menos 1 a 3 minutos de ejercicio diario durante todo un mes, entonces agrégale otros dos minutos de trote en tu lugar o abdominales o algún otro ejercicio sencillo que puedas hacer en casa. De esta forma es mucho más fácil enfocarte en ser constante. Lo cual debería ser tu principal objetivo. Tal vez no veas grandes logros en tu físico con esto pero estoy segura que te sentirás mejor de ti mismo. HACER EJERCICIO TE AYUDA A CRECER COMO PERSONA. Si te enfocas en llevarlo a cabo por las razones correctas, el ejercicio te ayuda a crecer en muchos aspectos de la vida. No siempre se trata de tu aspecto físico como muchos lo creen. Claro es lindo verte bien y desacerté de unos kilos de más, pero hacer ejercicio va más allá de esto. Se trata de cómo te sientes, del amor que te tienes y del tiempo que te dedicas. Hazlo tu prioridad no por lo que se va a ver en lo exterior sino por lo que tú sientes en tu interior. El hacer tiempo para hacer ejercicio se trata más de lo físico se trata de crecer, de aprender, de valorarte, de conocerte como solo tú puedes, de darte lo que tú te debes dar: amor.

Rompers, fringe leather bags, pearl sandals, denim skirts, and sunglasses may seem like a bunch of random items, but put them all together and you have a perfect summer starter pack that will have you ready for anything! Of course, you won’t exclusively wear these pieces, but when matched with the season-less pieces you already own, you’ll have the most functional and fashion forward wardrobe for the upcoming months. Summer can be very unpredictable, you never know how hot it will be and my number one fashion rule is to always be comfortable in anything that I wear. If you’re not comfortable then it’s harder to “rock” an outfit to its fullest potential. I’m originally from Las Vegas. the temperatures there are very extreme, and a few years ago I moved to Los Angeles so now that I live in LA I am able to be a little more flexible with my attire during the summer because it’s not blazing hot! Rompers are amazing because you don’t even have to try... all you have to do is pair them with good shoes and accessories, and your outfit is complete! They are comfortable, trendy, and easy to dress up and down! Of course, you are going to have some downfalls to every piece of clothing because nothing is perfect. For example rompers are terrible when using the restroom! OMG Who likes to get completely naked just to use the restroom! Just keep that in mind when you are in a hurry! Fringe bags are everything to me right now! If you follow me on Instagram then I’m sure you can tell how much I love my white fringe bag from JustFab. It looks so trendy and fresh whenever I wear it. It also adds a little something extra to your outfit and let’s face it, that never hurts! I’ve seen pearl embroidery everywhere this season! Especially in Zara, they have skirts, denim, dresses, and another one of my obsessions pearl sandals. I love finding pieces that look chic and expensive but are actually extremely affordable. I’m definitely a bargain shopper, styles are always coming and going but since trends do tend to come back I don’t mind spending a little more on

Los mamelucos son increíbles porque ni siquiera tienes que pensarlo mucho... todo lo que tienes que hacer es emparejarlos con buenos zapatos y accesorios, y tu “look” ¡está completo! Son cómodos, modernos y fáciles de vestir de poner y ¡de quitar! Por supuesto, no hay pieza perfecta, por ejemplo los mamelucos no son funcionales cuando se tiene que ir ¡al baño! ¡OH DIOS! ¿A quién le gusta quedarse completamente desnuda sólo para usar el baño? Así que tenga esto en cuanta cuando se tenga que arreglar de prisa. Yo tengo una debilidad con las bolsas con flecos o fringes. Si me siguen en Instagram entonces estoy segura de que puede decir lo mucho que me encanta mi bolsa de flecos blanca de JustFab. Me siento tan moderna y fresca siempre que la uso y también porque añade algo extra y diferente a mi conjunto… seamos realistas, eso nunca esta de ¡más! a couple of good quality signature pieces. Denim skirts are EVERYWHERE! I love them, they remind me of when I was in the eighth grade. When I used to shop at Abercrombie or Hollister and had a million of those slogan T-shirts. That said for example, “ Can I borrow a million dollars.”. You see a lot of fashion influencers rocking them in all different ways now! A few of my favorite types of denim skirts are the regular colored denim and the black denim with a distressed look. They are so easy to pair too which is a plus... You can pair them with a crop top, bodysuit, or an oversized sweatshirt, depending on your mood. Sunglasses are a must for every season! You’ll always need sunglasses, they work for every season! The downfall to sunglasses is that they are very easy to lose. I always lose my sunglasses so I don’t normally like to buy expensive brands and I do, I only use them on special occasions. I like to find glasses that look similar and that aren’t very expensive. I’m currently obsessed with my Celine look-alike shades. I got them for 20$ on the streets of Hollywood and Highland... WHAT A STEAL! Moral of the story chooses what you spend your money on wisely! I hope my top 5 items for summer helped you get a better idea of what to get. Always remember to look for the better deals before spending your money on trends that will only last you a season, sometimes is wise to wait a little before you break the bank! Yo siempre pierdo mis gafas de sol, así que normalmente no me gusta comprar las de marcas caras y si lo hago, solo las uso en ocasiones especiales. Me gusta encontrar gafas que parezcan similares a las de marca a un precio mas razonable. Actualmente estoy obsesionada con unos anteojos muy parecidos a los Celine. Los conseguí por $20 dolares en las calles de Hollywood y Highland ... ¡QUÉ GANGA! Moraleja de la historia… elija bien en lo que gasta su dinero. Espero que mis 5 mejores artículos para el verano le hayan ayudado a tener una mejor idea de qué necesita adquirir para estar a la moda. The Lobby of the fortress is both fascinating and creepy – filled with display cases that hold artifacts and living creatures, which The Collector has obtained and made available for public viewing. In a welcome video, The Collector explains how he has trapped the Guardians of the Galaxy high atop his fortress in secured glass cages that are wired with power from a massive generator and suspended over a deep abyss. Before leaving the Lobby and entering The Collector’s Office, hold up your hands to be “bioscanned” for security clearance. In the Office, even more of The Collector’s relics are on display and, as in the Lobby, the collection contains some hidden references that will delight dedicated Super Hero fans and Disney fans. Suddenly, Rocket appears, telling guests he needs their help. Using their security clearances, he can hijack the gantry lift to the top of the fortress, disable the generator, and free his friends. Of course, Rocket’s plan faces challenges. After you enter the gantry lift, Rocket overrides The Collector’s recorded tour spiel with music from the tape player of Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill). Soon, the gantry is shooting up into the fortress, then plummeting downward as Rocket attempts to take control of the generator. It’s here that you experience one of the attraction’s six different ride profiles, each synchronized to one of the songs on the “awesome mix tape”

From the anticipation, you feel as you enter The Collector’s Fortress to the sense of discovery as you tour the Tivan Collection to the thrills and elation of participating in a successful breakout, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is an unforgettable adventure into the Super Hero universe at Disney California Adventure. In addition to the new attraction, Summer of Heroes opened on May 27th with Guardians of the Galaxy characters and Super Heroes appearing in Disney California Adventure for new exploits and Heroic Encounters. While some of these will be yearround, others will be available only through September 10th. Summer of Heroes is an ever-expanding universe of Super Hero stories that will become even bigger over time. In addition, the Main Street Electrical Parade extends its stay in Disneyland Park until August 20th and also returns the spectacular night show Fantasmic! and the iconic Disneyland Railroad with new landscapes around the Rivers of America, a new and spectacular view of a waterfall, rocky cliffs, and a dramatic cliff. I love the musical Aladdin, the story of Rapunzel and the princesses in Fantasyland. Another new show for the entire year with fun for all ages, “Disney Junior Dance Party”, a fun concert to dance and sing to the rhythm of the music with popular characters of Disney Junior, “Doc McStuffins”, “Sofia the First”, “The Lion Guard” and the protagonists of the new series “Mickey and the Roadster Racers”. Plus, the popular Parade “Pixar Play Parade”, which presents the charming and colorful worlds of Disney•Pixar “Toy Story” friends, “Finding Nemo”, “Monsters, Inc.” and “Cars”. In Tomorrowland, Star Wars fans can get into experiences beyond this galaxy in the Star Wars Launch Bay with Star Wars characters and replicas of models and objects of the films in the series, including the most recent film, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” while we look forward to the opening of Star Wars area in the summer of 2019. How do you finish the climb and live your dream? How do you get back on track when stuck, fearful, lost, or confused? Successful people know that achievement, more often than not, comes with great pain and sacrifice. It is inevitable that along the road to living our dreams and finding success, hurdles and challenges confront us. There is a key to opening that door and setting yourself free. In this article, I’m going to empower you to fly without a net. Roadblocks and diversions distract us, slow us down. We don’t have the time; we’re tired at the end of a long day; we have families to tend for; the dog ate our homework, and we’re too preoccupied with other responsibilities of adulthood. Sound familiar? Or perhaps, what is holding you back is the lack of tools, education, or the money to invest in your dreams? Maybe you plan to start tomorrow. Awareness is the first step to eliminating those problems. The fact you are reading this article means you are aware that change is needed. Keep reading. The reality is, WE hold ourselves back more than anything else. Circumstance is never the culprit. It’s our attitude. It’s our perspective. It’s our fear. I’ve read many stories about regular people overcoming the impossible. I’ve also heard many tales of people who were gifted with so much potential and opportunity, who got stuck and never realized their dreams. Why is that? In the words of Simon Sinek, “Start with why?” Leverage your sense of purpose. Take the time to ask yourself what you really want to do and why you are doing it? A deep motivation hides within our Why. If our sense of purpose is strong enough, it will fuel the engine to navigate the journey. Be careful! Your Why is a Siamese twin connected at the hip. The first of those twins is the Altruistic Why, ”the beautiful twin.” That’s the politically correct sense of purpose. It’s the generous giving part of your Why. It’s the motivation that makes you the consummate social entrepreneur or humanitarian. It’s the part of you that cares and wants to provide a service that makes the world a better place. It’s the one you read of in company mission statements designed to capture the loyalty of the consumer. The second half of your purpose is the secretive and negatively viewed, Ego-Driven Why, ”the ugly twin”. It’s the selfish reward, applause-seeking, and self-validating sentiment you get from your achievement and from your generosity. It’s the self-serving emotion of feeling relevant, loved, powerful, important, rich, accepted, elevated, beautiful, and of value. All the listed traits, of which many were omitted, are dependent on your personality type and values.

But please don’t deny that “ugly twin.” The ego is not always negative. It’s a great motivator. It’s been said that we either run away from pain or run towards pleasure. Both are selfmotivators. The Ego only becomes negative when it blinds us to the bigger and better picture of doing the right thing. The out of control negative Ego invites conflict, greed, disengagement, disappointment, resentment, envy, bullying, jealousy, and misunderstanding, due to lack of empathy. My altruistic sense of purpose is to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to reach higher and fly without a net. Through retrospection and introspection, I realized it has been my most authentic Why. One that aligns with everything I’ve subconsciously done in all my life chapters since childhood. My Ego-Driven why is love and meaning. I need to feel I matter. I’ve leveraged my ego to achieve my Altruistic Why—the bigger picture. What do you need to feel deep down inside in order to feel complete and thrive? As an individual, you must commit to your Why and your growth—it must become a part of your personal culture, your new lifestyle. You must find the hunger to weather the tempest of complacency, doubt, fear, and procrastination. You must hold yourself accountable—even better, share your dreams and who you wish to become with those who are batting for you and those who will graciously and encouragingly hold you accountable, all the while, celebrating your milestones, big and small, with you. Anybody else is not your tribe.

They key to success is taking action. You must commit to the needed action on a consistent basis. You must see beyond the obstacles. Don’t allow them to discourage you. If your “Why” is strong enough it will fuel the other moving parts that drive self-actualization. You will most definitely experience failures and disappointments—they are inevitable disruptions along the way. You will oftentimes wish you’d, perhaps, never wasted your time on such a foolish endeavor; a venture you might think you’re not capable of achieving. You will probably worry and feel you’re not good enough or that the reach is too far out of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to fail. Persevere, and endure. That sense of failure is temporary. It is only at the moment of giving up that you truly fail. Until you give up, you are absorbing, growing, and becoming better and stronger as you accumulate the essential tools and knowledge to execute the climb and finish the journey that your passion compelled you to follow. There must be passion to propel your sense of purpose. Don’t dwell on the hard work ahead. I guarantee it will be hard work with many setbacks. The effort to succeed is never-ending, be it on a personal or professional level. Focus on, and enjoy the journey. At the end of a really tough climb comes a spectacular and rewarding view. Stay calm and carry on until you fly without a net.

Today, one more day, one less day; all life woes end whenever you learn to solve them... - Shit! Forgot my needle. Said, Jake, while grabbing a jar of pentobarbital with an urge to inject it into his veins. He left the jar aside on the night table and readied himself to leave. It was a nice and calm morning. He took his black leather jacket, he wore his beret, the one he never forgets to wear be sunny or cloudy, he closed his apartment door, and without a course, he started walking along the streets close to his building. It was early morning, the streets were empty, and he had more than enough time to wait for the pharmacy to open its doors. It was a nice day and taking a seat in the main square, wasn’t a big deal; as a matter of fact, lately, life for him wasn’t that special either. - Such a wonderful day it is! Don’t you think? Said a soft voice, he turned around and noticed this beautiful girl, with big shiny eyes, a perfect smile and long hair. Jake looked everywhere, feeling a little confused. An intruder just shattered his lonely thoughts which wandered to nothingness; only sadness and an endless list of problems he carries over his shoulders. -Yes. He said while nodding. -I usually come here whenever I feel sad or tired, I believe it happens often. Smiles the girl - My name is Angella. Extending her hand and looking deeply into his eyes while saying this. -Jake- he answers back, extending his hand too. -Do you come around here often? She asked him with a big smile. -No, never. I need to get some stuff from the pharmacy but is closed at the moment. Just waiting till it opens. -Are you sick? -Something like that- he says with a low voice, trying to avoid the conversation. - Of life...

The last thing Jake needed was the company of someone else, especially the company of such a pretty girl, even worse, the company of someone he doesn’t even know, and also the fact that someone else is seating on the same chair he is at the moment when he just wanted to be left alone. It was a tense and hostile situation for Angella, but even after being treated like this, she kept smiling and also she kept trying to start a conversation... -Have you ever felt like waking up one day and disappear, or go into hiding and bury that thing that is eating your soul? You wake up feeling that your only purpose in life is, wasting everyone else’s oxygen, and even wanting to change or trying to change your surroundings, and knowing it will be of no use because life will go on without you... That there are only bitter, sad days left, and the only solution is to cry alone in silence, knowing there’s nothing left to do. Because there’s no purpose in this world, and if you are here or leave matters not because no one will notice, you are nothing. You know? Sometimes knowing that problems won’t be solved by just closing your eyes is hard. Fear will never leave your thoughts, days will become dark and cloudy, sad and life will be left with no taste. But, you know? I think that everything is part of a process... that nothing lasts forever because the only thing that’s real is the sky and it’s better to watch it from here, from this life, waiting for everything to happen at the right time, in the right place. - Look, maybe you don’t know me, but... something tells me... you have a bad day, right? A sad look covered Jake’s face, as impressive as it sounds someone understood him; someone knew what thoughts went through his mind at that exact moment... -You shouldn’t feel sad-Said Angella. Come on; tell me what’s the matter. -Fine, you win- He said. I need to get a needle to inject this into my veins. Maybe this is the worst thing you ever heard so far this morning but maybe is not so bad to have someone to talk to before I die. I’m tired of this, it’s the truth. I just want to...-he stopped talking and stared down. -Tired... said calmly. I think I understand you... nodded while staring in front of him. After some minutes of silence, Angella decided to break the tension with an invitation to go for a drink while the pharmacy opens its doors. He had nothing to lose, so he followed her. They went to a small and cozy coffee shop; they drank a couple of drinks. After an hour, Jake remembered he had to get his stuff at the pharmacy. Like a gentleman, he paid the check. They finished talking outside the place and before she left she said: -Good luck with your travels! Thanks for the drink. Tomorrow,
—¿Estás enfermo? —Algo- contesta él muy tajante, y en voz poco audible, asienta. –De la vida… —¿Te puedo ayudar? —¡Nooo!- responde ya un poco molesto. —Bien- asienta ella dejando al aire sólo un silencio… Lo último que Jake no necesitaba era la compañía de alguien, menos la de una chica linda, peor aún, la charla de alguien a quien no conocía, como tampoco el hecho de que alguien estuviera sentado justo en la misma banca en la que se le había antojado estar solo. El ambiente era hostil para Ángella, pero aun con aquella indiferencia en que estaba siendo tratada, siguió con su espontanea sonrisa y asintió… —¿Te ha pasado que un día despiertas con ganas de desaparecer, de esconderte y enterrar ese algo que te come el alma? Despiertas pensando en que sólo estas aquí, gastando oxígeno y, que nada de lo que quieras hacer o hagas va a cambiar a tu alrededor porque todo seguirá transcurriendo igual, sin ti… Que sólo hay para ti días amargos, tristes, y llorar en silencio es la solución, mientras no hay nada más por hacer. Porque no hay sentido en este mundo, y si estás o te vas nadie lo notará porque eres sólo nada… ¿Sabes? A veces darse cuenta de que los problemas no se solucionan cerrando los ojos, es difícil. El miedo siempre estará acechando tus pensamientos, los días se tornarán nublados, tristes y la vida estará sin sabor. Pero ¿sabes? Yo creo que todo eso es un proceso… que nada es eterno porque lo único eterno que existe es el cielo y es mejor contemplarlo desde aquí, desde esta vida, dejando que todo surja en su hora y en su lugar… —Mira quizá tú no me conozcas, pero… algo me dice que… ¿no has tenido un buen día ¿verdad? Una mirada triste se alberga en el rostro de Jake, por increíble que le resultara, alguien podía entenderlo; alguien podría descifrar lo que él sentía en esos instantes… —No deberías estar triste- dijo Angella. Vamos, cuéntame que te pasa. —Está bien, tú ganas - Dijo él. Tengo que comprar una puta jeringa para inyectarme en las venas. Quizà sea lo màs estúpido que hayas escuchado esta mañana, pero quizá no sea tan malo contárselo a alguien antes de morirme. Estoy cansado de esto, en verdad. Solo quiero… —guardó silencio y bajó la mirada al piso. — Cansado… respondió ella tranquilamente. Quizá te entiendo… asintió mirando frontalmente. Luego de unos minutos de silencio entre ambos, Angella decide romper el áspero momento invitándolo a tomar algo mientras abren la farmacia. Nada perdía él con seguirla. Se dirigieron a una pequeña y acogedora cafetería, bebieron un par de jugos. Luego de una hora Jake recordó que se le hacía tarde para ir por sus compras. No perdió el estilo de un caballero y pago la cuenta. Concluyeron su plática a las afueras del lugar y casi marchándose ella le dice:

I’ll be here again. So! if I can’t find you at ten, I will know you are no longer here. Smiling, she says her goodbyes while shaking his hand and walking backward. He had nothing else to do but smile too. Later that day, Jake arrived at home; he left his groceries on the side of his bed and lay on the mattress while thinking about all the stuff he had in mind, this girl came into his mind. What a rare coincidence this morning. Her smile- was beautiful... and shortly after that though he fell asleep... THE FOLLOWING MORNING At 9:15 am, Jake quickly woke up after having a nightmare. He noticed late at night that he fell asleep. He remembered that at 10:00 am she will be there. He hurried and walked for several minutes at the same place and like she said, she was seated there, the wind moving her hair. -Hi! he said while taking a seat. -Hey!, how’s it going ghost Jake! -Ok, ok, I’m still alive. -What brings you here? -Would you laugh if I told you I fell asleep? -I know, it happens to me too. Wanna go for a drink? -Sure!- he says while smiling. TO BE CONTINUED....

Transforming into The Hulk... throwing away all his belonging, burning his gifts, leaving behind all memories, yelling out loud, telling him of all the things he is going to die to; these are some of the women’s reactions after a breakup. Is this a valid or right thing to do? Social Psychologists say that everything is allowed regarding the expression of your emotions, only if no one gets hurt, but I believe this is not the right thing to do, because in the end what we are showing is our true selves or what the relationship left us. Of course, if the reasons for the breakup were catastrophic or unpleasant, this could be justified, all if it’s worth it to remove all contact with that person, including all the bad experiences. It will be funny in the following years to remember your past actions and have a good laugh about it. The pain of losing someone sometimes could blind us of the right thing to do as a human being to move on, leaving us with regrets, and bad memories instead of logical thoughts. This is extremely painful, I know, but I feel it would be better to wish him luck and have a peaceful breakup instead of a very painful one, it is painful on its own right, but it could be worse if you were fighting, acting like angsty teenagers, yelling curse words to each other, adding more fuel to the fire in the process. This would be the perfect world, acting with class and education, you never know if you will ever see this person again in the future, sharing good memories. Ladies and gentleman, this almost never happens! People are left bitter, the breakup process becomes very painful and loud, they have to shield themselves to avoid getting

Según los Psicólogos Sociales cualquier manera de expresar un sentimiento es válida siempre y cuando que no se dañe la integridad física o emocional de nadie, pero quizá no es lo correcto desde mi punto de vista, porque al final estamos demostrando quienes somos en realidad o lo que nos dejó esa relación. Claro que si la o las razones del distanciamiento fueron catastróficas o experiencias muy desagradables quizá sea válido, porque si la otra persona se merece que cortemos todo lazo y que eliminemos los malos recuerdos. Será más divertido cuando hay escenas de acción que con el pasar de los años se convierten en hazañas que contaremos entre carcajadas. El dolor de perder a la persona amada muchas veces nos ciegan a hacer lo correcto como ser humanos para pasar la página y en vez de quedase con rencores y malos recuerdos no pensamos racionalmente. Es doloroso es cierto, pero sería mejor si en el proceso en vez de distanciarnos de mala forma que de por si es bien doloroso; nos deseamos buena suerte y lo hagamos en buenos términos en vez de llenarnos de rencores, rabia, portarnos como adolescentes y hasta insultar poniendo de esta manera más leña al fuego que está acabando con esa relación. Esto sería en el mundo ideal, actuar con clase y educación para que por lo menos en el

any serious injury, because even if we are considered the weak sex, in a moment of anger we automatically gain a black belt in martial arts, and slaps aren’t the only thing that could deal some damage, any household could be used as a weapon, like the cell phone, probably the first thing we throw at the perfect target, him. Meanwhile, they leave the house, running, looking for salvation, while thinking to himself “F” this woman, during this time when the “Maniac” appears, and the guys’ cousins, friends, and partners will know what she is capable of. What comes next is the social media “BLOCKING”, erasing his WhatsApp number, changing your marital status from “in a relationship” to “single”, changing your profile pic for a sexier one, accepting past flings that couldn’t happen because you were in a relationship and of course... sending messages to the ex, showing him what he is missing and how happy she is without him. If the breakup happens during the weekend, this becomes a big event, because the mandatory family or friend reunion is a thing, and to start this reunion a night out with them is normal, a night of drinks, bottles, and alcohol, all this leading to a very well know conclusion... listening to sad music, dedicating it to him, mentioning how much she loves this song because it reminds her of him, their favorite song, their song, the song that spoke to them, about their lives, the song the loved to dance. And after many hours of crying, yelling or just by shedding a tear, all this, because this is a painful moment, a breakup is never easy, you had a relationship with this person, a relationship that probably wasn’t meant to last, doesn’t matter the reason, it’s ok to cry! And the next day is like nothing happened. But if you meet him in the following days or months you will just give him the “stare”, that kind of “stare” that he will understand immediately, you shrug, turn away, while mocking him, hahaha! that human being, that at one time gave you so much joy, teddy bears, and sweet dances, today is your public enemy number one, and it will stay that way forever. These emotional breakups also are age related, maturity and intelligence of each part, not everyone has to act the same way, guided by anger and pain, let bygones be bygones, that’s the way I think, trying to keep the good memories of time spent together, say hello if you meet him again, forgive him and forgive yourself, this is really important if you want to move on and be ready to have a different experience with your next partner, this means; leaving your ex alone, hurting no one in the process, including anyone related to that person or yourself. Because in the end, if your kids or grandchildren ask us about our first love or our greatest relationship in our lives, we will remember this episode, and it will be way better to remember the good times and laugh, than the sad ones.

Las personas que quedan con rencor, hacen del momento del distanciamiento una verdadera escena de acción donde el hombre tiene que escudarse muy bien para no salir gravemente herido porque aunque somos consideradas el sexo débil en ese momento cualquier mujer se convierte en cinturón negro de cualquier modalidad de artes marciales y los daños no solo pueden ser físicos ocasionadas por las tremendas cachetadas, sino también se rompen varios artículos siendo el teléfono celular el primero en ser lanzado hacia un blanco perfecto. Entonces el hombre sale despavorido en busca de salvación y en el transcurso manda a la “M” a esta mujer que desde ese momento se apodará la “Loca” y todos sus primos, amigos y compañeros del susodicho sabrán de lo que fue capaz esa mujer. Luego sigue el “BLOQUEO” de todas las redes sociales, del contacto del WhatsApp, cambio de perfil del estado civil a soltero o soltera, cambio de fotografía de perfil por una más sexy, volver a aceptar a algunas personas con quienes mientras estaba en una relación no podía entablar cualquier comunicación y por supuesto… poner mensajes o indirectas recordándole a la otra parte lo que se perdió o lo feliz que es ahora sin ataduras. Si el rompimiento ocurre en fin de semana es todo un acontecimiento, porque la reunión de primos o amigos es mandataria para hablar de lo que paso y para marcar precedente de que el festejo se dio y así empieza una noche de copas, jarras o cajas de licores que llevan siempre a un solo lugar… escuchar música y dedicar al ex y hasta mencionar que era la canción favorita de ambos porque reflejaba su historia o porque les encantaba bailar esa melodía apretaditos. Y varias horas después el llanto ya sea a todo pulmón o con simples y elegantes lagrimitas que se dan porque en realidad duele lo sucedido o porque le dedicaste tiempo a una relación que en definitiva sabíamos que no perduraría, en conclusión sea cual fuere el sentimiento, ¡sé llora! Y al día siguiente como si fuera que no pasó nada. Pero si por ahí te lo encuentras unos días o meses después le lanzas una de esas miradas que solo él sabe que significa, mueves los hombros, volteas la cara y hasta le sacas la lengua, ¡jajaja! y así, ese ser humano que alguna vez te dio tanta felicidad, osos de peluches y buenos bailes hoy es el enemigo número uno y para siempre. Esos distanciamientos drásticos también tienen que ver con la edad, madurez e inteligencia de los involucrados, no todos tienen que ser así o marcados por el dolor, creo firmemente que podemos dejar lo sucedido atrás, tratar de preservar lo bonito de ese tiempo juntos, saludarse con cordialidad y perdonar y lo más importante perdonarse a sí mismos, porque esto último es un gran paso para poder seguir adelante y estar listos para que la experiencia con la siguiente persona sea diferente y dejar en paz a tu ex mientras vives y dejar vivir a los demás, incluyente a la o el tercero en discordia. Porque al final cuando los hijos o nietos nos pregunten sobre nuestro primer amor o la pareja más significativa en nuestra vida, recordaremos esos episodios y definitivamente sería mejor soltar una carcajada en vez de lágrimas.

After that magical night, full of sweetness and sensuality, I decided to leave aside the fact of the bet I had made with my friend. She won and I fulfilled the bet. I did not tell her what had happened because I did not think it was suitable and because my heart and reason told me that it was not the right thing to do. Many times one does not calculate that feelings are stronger. Obviously, it is no longer necessary to mention the amount of the bet, since it is no longer of importance. Now, I just wanted what started as a game, to run its course without pressure, without falsehood, and simply being ourselves. In fact, he is probably reading this and he is just learning that my eagerness to get closer was, at first, just a gamble. It is clear that it is only at the beginning because when I talked to him very well I realized the great mistake I had made in following with the absurd game because I was the one that became hooked and not him. I did not count, with his extremely strange personality, because as he appeared, in that same way, he disappeared and I did not know about him until February 14th. I remember that day, I had been leaving with a friend to karaoke, to sing and relax and get away from men who complicate our existence. I hadn’t the slightest idea that he would send me a message because the way he disappeared. I assumed I was one more on his list of women. This thought is not far from the truth because the world in which he unfolds is full of appearances, superficialities, banalities, and so on. But there was something about him that told me that his way of being was not like that. I think I got carried away by the connection I felt, not by the reality. The oxytocin that my being generated when I was in front of him blinded my mind. Anyway, on February 14th, it was a Saturday or Friday, I can’t even remember. That day, I got ready and put on some dark jeans, high shoes, and a semi-transparent white loose-fitting blouse. I applied a little make-up, and I set out to go and pick my friend up who lives five blocks from my house. She was wearing a wellfitting dress and her high platform shoes. She loves dresses, quite the opposite to me, I am really more of jeans, leggings, skirts, or loose dresses. I like to feel comfortable, but in this case I had made an exception and I had been wearing 10cm high heels. When I arrived, she was ready, so we took a taxi to go to the karaoke that is close to where we live. Upon arrival, the place was packed, so we settled on some seats that are at the bar. From there, we started the “Friendship Day Celebration.” We were there some 4 hours when my cell phone rang. It was a message from whatsapp that said, “Are you alive?” I really hesitated a bit to respond and did not do it until after 20 minutes. It was him, and I was surprised by that strange way of saying hello. I replied: “Yes, I am in the karaoke with a friend,” to which he replied that he did not want to interrupt. Immediately, I looked at my friend and noticed that she was sleepy, already entering a trance for the return home, so I managed to reply that I was already out, since my friend was already entering the dreamland. What I did find strange, is that he does not have plans on a day

Después de esa noche mágica, llena de dulzura y sensualidad, decidí dejar de lado el hecho de la apuesta que había pactado con mi amiga. Ella ganó y cumplí con lo apostado, no le dije lo que había pasado; pues no lo creía idóneo, que aunque yo pude haber cobrado la apuesta, lo haga; ya que mi corazón y parte de la razón me decían que no era lo correcto. Muchas veces una no calcula que los sentimientos son más fuertes. Obviamente, ya no viene al caso mencionar de qué monto se trató la apuesta, pues ya no es de importancia. Ahora solo quería que lo que inició como algo de juego, pueda seguir su curso sin presiones, sin falsedades y simplemente siendo nosotros mismos. Es más, posiblemente, él esté leyendo esto y recién se esté enterando que mi afán de acercarme fue, en un comienzo, solo por una apuesta. Cabe aclarar que es solo al inicio, porque ni bien conversé con él, me percaté del gran error que hubiese cometido al seguir con el absurdo juego; pues la que se estaba enganchando era yo y no él. No contaba, con que él tenía una personalidad sumamente extraña; pues así como apareció, de esa misma forma, desapareció y no supe de él sino hasta el 14 de febrero. Recuerdo que ese día; había quedado en salir con una amiga al karaoke, solamente las dos, a cantar y desestresarnos, lejos de hombres que nos compliquen la existencia. No tenía la más mínima idea que él me mensajearía; pues de la manera como desapareció, supuse que yo era una más en su lista de mujeres. Este pensamiento no está lejos de ser cierto, porque el mundo en el que él se desenvuelve, está lleno de apariencias, superficialidades, banalidades y demás; pero algo había en él que me decía que su manera de ser no era así. Creo que me dejé llevar por la conexión que sentí, y no por la realidad. La oxitócica que generaba mi ser cuando estaba frente a su presencia, era tal, que cegaba mi raciocinio. En fin, el 14 de febrero, cayó un día sábado o viernes, ya ni recuerdo bien. Ese día me alisté y me puse unos jeans oscuros, zapatos de taco, una blusa holgada, semitransparente de color blanco hueso. Me maquillé un poco, y me dispuse a ir en busca de mi amiga que vive a cinco cuadras de mi casa. La recogí. Ella se había puesto un vestido bien entallado y sus zapatos de plataforma con taco. A ella le encantan los vestidos, muy por el contrario a mi persona, que en realidad soy más de jeans, leggins, faldas o polivestidos. Me gusta sentir soltura, pero en este caso había hecho una excepción y me había calzado unos tacones de 10 centímetros. Cuando llegué, ella ya estaba lista, así que tomamos el taxi con dirección a un karaoke que está cerca de donde vivimos. Al llegar, el lugar estaba lleno, por lo que nos ubicamos en unos asientos que están en la barra. Desde ahí empezamos la celebración del “Día de la Amistad”. Pasaron algo de 4 horas, cuando en eso sonó mi celular. Era un mensaje, de whatsapp, que decía: “¿Estás viva?”; la verdad dudé un poco en responder y no lo hice sino hasta después de 20 minutos. Era él, y me sorprendió esa rara forma de saludar. Le respondí: “Sí, estoy en el karaoke con una amiga”, a lo que él respondió

like Valentine’s Day. Well, but really, I was pleased that he wrote me and that he looked for me. Finally, we agreed that he would pick me up from the karaoke and we would go for a walk. I told my friend that the “skinny” had written me and since she was already more for the other dimension than for this one, I had agreed to see him and he was going to pick me up. She, like every practical woman, did not trouble herself and she took the opportunity to go home. An hour later, I got a message that he was already outside waiting for me. We went out and politely asked him for a favor, if we could give my friend a ride to her house, which he did not refuse at all, and like a gentleman, accepted my request. After leaving my friend at home, we headed to the Barranco district, to be more exact, to the Saenz Peña pier. There, he parked his truck, and we went down to stretch our legs. The smell of the sea, the moonlight, the murmur of the sea waves and their presence, were all I could want at that very moment. He looked at me and I looked at him, I stretched my arms and I made the dance gesture, to which he answered affirmatively and I whispered in his ear to close his eyes and imagine that the sound of the waves is a ballad. I began to move from side to side, he followed my soft rhythm but only for a few minutes. After that, he took my face in his hands and pulled him to his. (not necessarily the soulmate, it is with whom you stay in this life) A connection not felt previously, not even with the person I was I was engaged. That is why I say that not necessarily your soulmate is with whom you stay in this life, but that is another subject that later in other writings I will play. It was that special approach that perceived my body, my mind, my soul and my heart, which caused a fear to rise from the tip of my toes to the last strand of my hair; but instead of slowing down, I valued myself to continue with this story, that even I did not know how it began and how it would end. His kisses were more beautiful than any other, the softness of his lips was indescribable, and the taste of his mouth was the most delicious nectar, never before proven by my love experience.

Le comenté a mi amiga que el “flaco” me había escrito y que como ella ya estaba más para la otra dimensión que para ésta; había aceptado verlo, y me estaba yendo a recoger. Ella, como es práctica, no se hizo problemas, y aprovechó la oportunidad para que la dejemos en la puerta de su casa. Una hora después, me llegó un mensaje de aviso que él ya estaba afuera esperando por mí. Salimos, y con toda educación le pedí, el favor, si podíamos darle un aventón a mi amiga hasta su casa, a lo que él no se negó en absoluto, y como todo un caballero, aceptó mi petición. Después de dejar a mi amiga en su casa, nos dirigimos hacia el distrito de Barranco, para ser más exacta, al Malecón de Saenz Peña. Ahí estacionó su camioneta, y bajamos a estirar las piernas. El olor del mar, la luz de la luna, el murmullo de las olas marinas y su presencia, eran todo lo que yo podía querer en ese preciso instante. Me miró y lo miré, estiré mis brazos e hice el ademán de bailar pegados, a lo que él respondió afirmativamente, y le dije al oído que cierre los ojos e imagine que el sonido de las olas es una balada. Comencé a moverme de un lado a otro, el siguió mi ritmo suave; pero solamente por unos minutos, luego de ello, tomo mi rostro entre sus manos y lo acercó al suyo. Me dio un beso riquísimo, de esos que levantas el pie derecho, como cuando la princesa de Disney baila con su príncipe. Ja, ja, ja; a veces soy demasiado cursi para describir lo que vivo, pero es interesante relatar una historia así, con esos detallitos. Luego de ese baile y beso de película, subimos a la camioneta, pues el frío que hacía era raro de la época, pues supuestamente estábamos en verano; pero creo que el clima y la atmósfera se habían confabulado conmigo, para que ese friecito haga que estemos más juntitos. Ya en el vehículo, nos sentamos en la parte de atrás e iniciamos una conversación de lo que él había estado haciendo. Me di con la sorpresa que él había estado trabajando hasta una hora antes de recogerme. Le creí, no tenía por qué no hacerlo. Yo le conté algunas cosas mías, y luego de eso vino un silencio de miradas, seguidas de un abrazo fuerte, que duró casi como 10 minutos de puro sentir, sin palabras; solamente puro contacto de cuerpo. En ese abrazo, sentí una paz exageradamente increíble, era como haber encontrado a mi alma gemela (no necesariamente el alma gemela, es con quien te quedas en esta vida). Una conexión no sentida anteriormente, ni siquiera con la persona con la que estuve a punto de casarme. Es por ello que digo, que no

It was as if a puzzle, at last, could find the missing piece. I felt totally confused and happy. Two paradoxically beautiful feelings, I think. He seemed to me, a man so mysterious, that I wanted to decipher everything from him. That feeling of trying to find out everything, involved me more and more. I had already fallen into my own game. He did not try anything else and that flattered me; because generally, men, when they see that a woman responds to their kisses, hugs, in the majority of cases, seek to have another type of intimacy; but he not. He respected that thin line, that at any moment, I could have passed without any remorse. He was a very enigmatic man. I wanted to be part of that puzzle. Finally, the hours passed, which for me were very fast. I would have wanted those hours to be eternal, but when the time came, he took me back home and just like the last time; he said goodbye with a very strong hug, as if his soul pierced mine, followed by a sweet, soft, tender, passionate and very long kiss. I definitely did not know what I was doing. I was falling into my own trap and I would not know how to get out. I sensed that what I would lose in this would be me; because nothing guaranteed that I was the only woman with which he was filtering. Better not even think about it. I was going to continue this romance, as long as my heart, my reason and especially my soul, allow me. It will continue in Chapter IV: “It’s me or it’s you. I do not understand”.

Sus besos eran más hermosos uno que otro, la suavidad de sus labios era indescriptible, el sabor de su boca era el néctar más delicioso, jamás antes probado por mi experiencia amorosa. Era como si un rompecabezas, por fin, pudo encontrar la pieza que faltaba. Me sentía totalmente confundida y feliz. Dos sentimientos paradójicamente bellos, creo yo. Él me parecía un hombre tan misterioso, que yo quería descifrar todo de él. Esa sensación de intentar averiguar todo, me envolvía cada vez más. Ya había caído en mi propio juego. Él no intentada nada más y eso me halagaba; pues generalmente, los hombres cuando ven que una mujer responde a sus besos, abrazos, en la mayoría de los casos, buscan tener otro tipo de intimidad; pero él no. Él respetaba esa línea tan delgada, que en cualquier momento, yo pude haber sobre pasado sin ningún remordimiento. Él era un hombre demasiado enigmático. Yo quería ser parte de ese enigma. Finalmente, pasaron las horas, que para mí fueron muy rápidas. Yo hubiese querido que esas horas sean eternas, pero llegado el momento, él me llevó de regreso a casa e igual que la última vez; se despidió con una abrazo fortísimo, como si su alma traspasara la mía, seguido de un beso dulce, suave, tierno, pasional y larguísimo. Yo, definitivamente, ya no sabía lo que hacía. Estaba cayendo en mi propia trampa y no sabría cómo salir. Intuía que la que saldría perdiendo en esto, sería yo; pues nada me garantizaba que yo fuese la única con la que él estaba flirteando. Mejor ni pensaba en ello. Yo iba a continuar este romance, mientras mi corazón, mi razón y en especial mi alma, me lo permitan. Continuará en el Capítulo IV: Soy yo o eres tú. No comprendo.
