Welcome to Camp! Take a look at what we did today Today the group started off playing a game called “Find Someone Who.” This game takes a bingo approach to learning about famous entrepreneurs and their qualities. The game provided a fun way to get everyone in an analytical mood! We then introduced the Industry Analysis Lecture. This lecture asked three questions students had to answer about their businesses. Is the industry accessible? Does the industry contain markets that are underserved? Are there positions that will help eliminate some of the negative aspects of the industry? These questions prompted each group to reevaluate the goal of their ventures. Next, students jumped into learning about barriers to entry. After learning about necessary steps the groups would have to take, groups got together and made a work schedule of everything they needed to accomplish over the summer. To take a break we played a Nerf Gun game! The game consisted of a groups working together to knock down plastic cups by shooting their nerf guns at the cups. Each cup was filled with objects and once a cup was knocked down, groups had to make a pitch for the objects inside the cup.

Continue Learning: Questions to ask about today Market research helps refine an idea: What is Industry Analysis? Is the industry you are planning on entering accessible? It is underserved? Will you contribute positively toward this industry? What is the five forces model? What did you learn about how important suppliers are to your venture?
