Academic Year Theme

Jesus Others Yourself

The theme for this academic year brings us to the mindset that all Christians should follow which Jesus emulated for His followers. The Apostle Paul speaks of this specific way of thinking and doing in his letter to the Church in Philippi.

In Philippians 2:1-11, Paul describes the mindset of humility and of putting others’ needs before your own. He urges all followers of Christ to do what Jesus Himself has shown to us throughout His life on earth and inevitably through His sacrificial death on the cross. This is the theme for our entire school community this year.

Additionally, this theme touches on two specific aspects of The Veritas Way, which Veritas enstills in its students for the purpose of character development. The two statements are:

Lead by Serving Consider Others First

So this Academic Year, our school community will Choose JOY! From our faculty and staff all the way to our students, we want everyone to put Jesus first, others next, and lastly, themselves.

We look forward to seeing our school community walking out this theme on a daily basis as we choose to emulate Jesus.
