Hemos llegado al tiempo donde no hay mayor sensación de bienestar que el sentarte en un sofá con tu taza de café y disfrutar de la tranquilidad de sentirnos bien con nosotros mismos. Ese momento en que observas por la ventana como caen las hojas y el sol torna de naranja la vista de la ciudad… mientras das otro sorbo de café. Tomo la revista que tengo sobre la mesa y comienzo a pasar las páginas mirando las tendencias que las grandes firmas de moda nos traen este año. Cojo apuntes de todo aquello que me gustaría compartir con nuestros fieles lectores de Versus, hago una llamada al grandísimo equipo de profesionales de la revista y entonces comienza una vez más esa vorágine de dar forma a lo que me gustaría que fuese la edición de otoño/invierno 2017… esta que ahora pueden disfrutar todos ustedes… Gracias una vez más por seguirnos en estos casi 4 años de Versus Magazine.

He sido una cliente leal de las hermanas Kunglers, Ava y Barbra; Pero no había estado en su tienda principal desde hace bastante tiempo. Me quedé maravillada cuando llegué allí. Además de la colección de joyas de Kungler, encontré otra joya: la configuración de su tienda principal. Kunglers? Ava - La marca comenzó en 2008, básicamente un año después de haber empezado en SL. Para entonces, Barbra y yo estábamos cansadas de no tener nada que hacer o simplemente teletransportarnos de un lugar a otro. Nos dimos cuenta de que podíamos aplicar nuestros conocimientos para crear ropa SL. Creamos alrededor de media docena de piezas, cuando abrimos nuestra pequeña tienda en un centro comercial que existía en ese entonces. Empezamos con los vestidos y lentamente expandimos la línea hacia trajes más casuales. En 2010, creé mi primera colección de joyas. Siempre quise hacer joyas y como mis habilidades evolucionaron, mi sueño se realizó. En 2013, mi hermana y compañera de negocios, Barbra Kungler tuvo que dejar de trabajar para nuestra marca Kunglers, porque su carrera de RL demandó muo de su tiempo. Después de esto, decidí dedicarme exclusivamente a la creación de joyas; Continuar con ropa y joyas era demasiado para mí.

Sea- Ava, ¿cómo encuentras la inspiración para una pieza, independientemente de su estilo, ya sea clásico o minimalista?
Ava- ¡Increíble! 10 años ya! Parece que fue ayer. Me estoy haciendo vieja * risas *. Fue mi hermana Barbra quien me mostró SL. Siempre estábamos enganadas a los juegos en línea. De entrada pensé que era algo interesante, pero tengo que confesarlo, no fue amor a primera vista * risa *. Tras unos días decidí darle una oportunidad a SL porque seguía viéndole muas posibilidades y con personas de distintos países… un mundo completamente nuevo se abrió ante mí.
Ava - La inspiración viene de varias fuentes… Me encantan las piezas vintage, especialmente las que pertenecen al período Art Nouveau y los años 30. Trato de llevar este elemento a SL y crear piezas que me encantaría tener en RL. Las opciones que elijo crear siempre se basan en mi gusto personal. No importa si el diseño es clásico o minimalista, necesito amarlos primero. También busco inspiración en la naturaleza y las etnias culturales.

I’ve been a loyal customer of the Kunglers’ sisters, Ava and Barbra; but hadn’t been to their main store for quite some time. I was delighted when I got there. In addition to Kungler’s jewelry collection, I found another gem the setup of their main store. It’s a magical place, exuberant and elegant, just like the brand, whi has been in Second Life© for many years. Sea - Hello Ava, it’s wonderful to see you again! How many years has Kunglers been in SL? Ava - Hello Seashell, it’s my pleasure, thanks for having me! is year, Kunglers, we are celebrating our 9th anniversary in SL as a brand and our 5th year exclusively dedicated to jewelry design. Sea- Going back in time, do you
remember when you had the idea of becoming a jewelry designer? How did the brand Kunglers begin? Ava - e brand began in 2008, basically one year aer I started in SL. By then, Barbra and I were tired of having nothing to do or just teleporting from one place to another. We realized we could apply our knowledge to create SL clothes. We created around half a dozen pieces, when we first opened our little store in a mall that existed ba then. We started with gowns and slowly expanded the line to more casual outfits. In 2010, I created my first jewelry collection. I always want to make jewelry and as my skills evolved, my dream was realized. In 2013, my sister and business partner, Barbra Kungler had to stop working for our brand Kunglers, because her RL career demanded a lot of her time. Aer this, I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to the creation of jewelry; to carry on with clothes and jewelry was too mu for me.

Sea - Going back even more, in time. Do you remember how you knew about this wonderful world that is SL ? It’s been 10 years for you! Ava- Incredible! 10 years already? It seems like yesterday. I’m getting old *laughter*. It was my sister Barbra who introduced me to SL. We were always addicted to online gaming. At first, I thought this was interesting, but I have to confess, it wasn’t love at first sight *laughter*. Aer a few days, I decided to give SL a ance because I kept discovering so many possibilities and people from different countries… a whole new world opened up to me.
Sea- Ava, how do you find inspiration for a piece, regardless of it’s style whether it is classic or minimalist? Ava - Inspiration comes from several sources… I love vintage pieces, especially those that belong to the Art Nouveau period and the 30’s. I try to bring this element into SL and I create pieces that I’d love to have in RL. e oices I oose to create are always based on my personal taste. It doesn’t matter if the design is classic or minimalist I need to love them first. I also look for inspiration in nature and cultural ethnicities.
Sea - Right now, there is Kunglers Sea - And now that we’re talking the brand and also Kunglers about this, why did you stay all Extra. Can you explain what the these years? difference is? Ava - I stayed because I’m very stubborn *laughter*. rough the years, there were several moments when I thought about quitting, just to go to my RL, in fact I have a RL job that takes 6 hours a day of my time. My RL job ensures my livelihood. I like SL as a hobby-- it allows me to be creative in an area that I love fashion.

Sea - Kunglers has modern, ethnic and organic jewelry pieces. How did this idea of creating organic jewelry pieces come about? Ava - I love organic designs, especially flora pieces. Flowers, birds, and insects… they bring su good memories to me. ey remind me of when I lived in the countryside and had lots of contact with nature. I love ethnic jewelry, because I can mix organic and natural elements, with cultural references to a certain ethnicities. To ange that into something beautiful… into a jewel, a gem it’s fascinating. ose who know me, they say I have an ancient soul *laughter*. I think that explains a lot. Sometimes I like to modernize a more organic design, with less information, enriing only a detail, to have the final piece mu more modern and minimalist.
Sea - Plans for the future? Can you share some with us? Or are you keeping it a secret? Gods will tell? Ava - I believe that gods won’t tell their plans for my future *laughter*. I prefer to live one day at a time, especially when talking about SL, where the meaning of the future can be somewhat disconnected from real life. I can say, however, that I still have lots of inspiration and ideas to create. Tiene miedo pero está feliz. Es entonces cuando giro mi cabeza contemplando a mi compañera de viaje y yo también sonrío. Por fin hemos llegado. Un refugio costero de mediados del siglo pasado al que no le falta de nada. Un gran molino, la pequeña capilla para los domingos, el sonido de las olas rompiendo contra el menudo pero coqueto muelle… la paz que se siente es embriagadora.

e walk enjoying the scenery. e old logs that join the railroad metal beams creak under our feet, it’s the only possible path and we walk under the wat of attentive animals that do not seem to fear the human presence. I hear a scream of emotion and look up to see its origin. Over my head an excited girl hugs her partner inside the basket of a hot air balloon. She is afraid but happy. It is then when I turn my head beholding my traveling companion – and, I also smile. We have finally arrived at a coastal refuge from the middle of the last century that does not la anything. l tiempo se detiene por completo. El mundo deja de girar por un breve instante tan intenso que parece una eternidad. Todo se vuelve oscuro, con el resplandor de sus ojos como única fuente de luz. La música es sobria, apenas dos corazones latiendo al mismo ritmo. Y esa sensación…. que crece y crece desde dentro, subiendo desde nuestro estómago mientras crece sin mesura hasta hacernos pensar que nuestros cuerpos temblorosos no resistirán más. Entonces siento su piel rozándome y sus ojos se fijan en los míos mientras la abismal distancia entre nuestras bocas, de apenas un par de palmos, se reduce a la nada. Me besa, la beso. Ahora todo tiene sentido. Nuestros labios se despegan y ella apoya su cabeza sobre mi cuerpo para fundirse conmigo en un cálido abrazo. Mi peo se calma, mi alma suspira. La rodeo con mis brazos para refugiarla entre ellos. Ahora conozco la felicidad… pero… cuál es su precio?

s una verdad a medias ampliamente extendida el heo de que tarde o temprano a todos nos llega el amor. Y aunque algunos lo buscan, lo habitual es tropezarnos con él cuando menos lo esperamos. Nuestro universo virtual no está exento de este sentimiento… aunque debemos prepararnos para lo que se nos viene encima…

El primer obstáculo que debemos superar es el oque de costumbres. No nos engañemos, aunque la atracción inicial sea muy fuerte de nada servirá si cada día que pasa nuestros horarios y/o quehaceres dentro de Second Life nos van distanciando más y más. Así que la primera tasa que debemos pagar para llevar a buen puerto nuestro amor virtual es dedicar tiempo a nuestra pareja para realizar actividades del agrado de ambos… con su respectiva
No importa, seguimos adelante porque sin esa persona especial en nuestras vidas nada tendría sentido. Despertar cada mañana y encender el teléfono o el PC para intercambiar las primeras palabras afectuosas del día nos impulsa a continuar. Pero… si se desconectó hace dos horas… cuando se despidió de mí dándome las buenas noes hace ya casi siete horas… Y entonces pagamos otro impuesto al amor, la inseguridad.

hora nos molesta que no nos cuente todo lo que hace, que hable con personas del sexo contrario e incluso a veces nos podemos sentir poca cosa frente a esos perfectos avatares que lucen quienes se le acercan, y mejor ni mencionar los imponentes tags que exhiben algunos. Maldición, la vida era muo más tranquila cuando estaba solo. Da lo mismo, la quiero y estoy convencido de que puedo ponerme a su altura. Solo tengo que mejorar mi apariencia virtual, le haré algunos regalos, entraré en algún grupo para obtener un buen tag, o mejor aún, abriré mi propio sim y seré el mejor partner para ella (¡¡ unión por el módico precio de 100L ‼). Justo en este punto es cuando el cepo consumista de Second Life se cierra entorno a nuestro tobillo para convertirnos en el usuario más deseado, aquel que pretende obtener Página 111
con una tarjeta de crédito lo que su encanto o habilidades no han podido conquistar. izás todo esto le haga reír a más de uno. Bien sea porque se han visto reflejados en alguno de los puntos anteriores o porque crean que ellos jamás serían tan estúpidos para pasar por algo así. Mis felicitaciones a los primeros porque han experimentado lo que es sentir, lo que significa estar vivo. E independientemente del resultado han amado y han sido amados. A lo mejor encontraste lo que buscabas o tal vez aprendiste lo que necesitas. Como sea, hoy eres un poco más sabio. Respecto a los segundos… este artículo no es para ellos. Estamos hablando de amor, de entregar el corazón sin reservas. De percibir como cada partícula del cuerpo clama silenciosa la necesidad de encontrarse con nuestra otra mitad.

Let’s not fool ourselves even if the initial attraction is strong it will not work if every day that passes our sedules and / or tasks in Second Life widen the distance between us. Nights without sleeping, toxic people that cross our path, frustration for not being able to tou the loved one and a long list of other inconveniences can be added to the usual problems common in a SL relationship.

Waking up ea morning and turning on the phone or PC to exange the first affectionate words of the day urges us to continue. But … if she disconnected two hours ago … when she said goodbye to me and said good night it was almost seven hours ago … And then we pay another “tax” on love, the insecurity. Now it bothers us she doesn’t tell us everything she does, that she talks to people of the opposite sex. Sometimes we feel we are nothing compared to those perfect avatars that approa her, and better not mention those imposing tags that some show over their heads. Por ello las galerías de arte son muy diferentes de los museos, pues en una galería de arte las personas admiran cosas bellas — se trata de originar una respuesta estética. Jabato115 tiene una maravillosa galería en SL; trabaja con un grupo llamado Benoir Art. “Miré alrededor de muos mundos 3-D y decidí probar SL hace aproximadamente un año. Estoy interesado en la construcción SL y la fotografía, y he conocido a muas personas amables que me han ayudado a desarrollar mis habilidades. Cuanto más me quedaba en SL y cuanto más aprendía, más me enganaba “. Jabato115 comenzó a experimentar por la fusión de su obra de arte RL en SL y superponiendo capas de niebla, fuego y cambios de color en su trabajo. “Me sorprendió por las
muas posibilidades que ofrece SL. En cuatro meses, y con la ayuda del Patio de los Amigos abrí mi primera exposición; “Libro del Dragón”, basado en un cortometraje de animación temático medieval de 3-D. El asedio de un castillo, un mundo de dragones, demonios y magia se incorpora junto con capturas de pantalla y renderizaciones de la película. Les dio un aspecto de dibujos ilustrados incoloros que pensé que era muy exitoso “. Este trabajo se mostró por primera vez en el Patio de Amigos, se trasladó a Diotima y luego a las Galerías México, donde estuvo en exhibición durante oo meses. Esto abrió las puertas del grupo de arte “Benoir Art” y a la creación de dos espectáculos más aclamados: una Exposición sobre el Miedo y otra sobre el Tatuaje y Arte Corporal en SL.

as habilidades de Jabato115 están evolucionando rápidamente en SL. “Aparte de las exposiciones sobre ilustración, fotografía y creación de texturas, estoy aprendiendo sobre construcción, menús de animación, aplicadores, texturas y scripting. Mi experiencia en soware 3-D me hace aprender muy rápido -es como trabajar en tu propio terreno”. Un espectáculo actual llamado “Muestras” está en la Galería de Arte de Aduanas. “Se me pidió que montara una pequeña expo y acepté encantado; Llamé a esto “Muestras” porque esta exposición consta de dos obras temáticas diferentes; Uno sigue el Libro del Dragón y el otro es Futurista”. Al mirar este espectáculo más reciente, no puede dejar de notar que está montado dentro de una cueva y que las imágenes de la cueva están dispersas. “Pasé muos años de mi RL en cuevas - he practicado la espeleología desde que era un niño. Soy habitual de un área cerca de 4 horas de donde vivo, el Valle del Asón. Esta zona es un paraíso mundial de la espeleología donde hay muos sistemas subterráneos gigantescos. Página 221

e encanta perderme en ellos, tienen vistas increíbles. También represento montañas y muros en mi trabajo debido a mi amor por ellos; Me gustan los deportes, la naturaleza y la aventura “. Además de su amor al aire libre, el arte Jabato115 también se inspira en lo oscuro y misterioso. “Siempre me gustaron las ilustraciones de covers de álbumes como Live Aer Death de Iron Maiden creado por Derek Riggs y No Doubt Silent Hill”. Art galleries are very different from museums, in an art gallery people look at things of beauty—they are all about creating an aesthetic response. Jabato115 has a wonderful gallery in SL; he works with a group called Benoir Art. “ I looked around many 3-D worlds and decided to try SL about a year ago. I am interested in SL construction and photography, and have met many kind people that have helped me develop my skills. e longer I stayed in SL and the more I learned, the more I became hooked.” Jabato115 began to experiment by merging his RL artwork into SL and superimposing layers of fog, fire and color anges onto his work. “I was surprised by the many possibilities
offered by SL. Within four months, and with the help of the Patio de los Amigos I opened my first exhibition; “Dragon Book”. is is based on a 3-D medieval themed animated short film. e siege of a castle, a world of dragons, demons and magic are incorporated with screenshots and renders of the movie. I used PS to create scrolls and gave them an aspect of colorless illustrated drawings that I thought was very successful.” is work was first shown in the Friends Courtyard, moved to Diotima and then to the Galleries Mexico where it was on display for eight months. is opened the door for me to the art group Benoir Art and to the creation of two more highly acclaimed shows- an Exhibition on Fear and, one on SL Tattoo and Body Art.

abato115’s skills are rapidly evolving in SL. “Apart from the exhibitions on illustration, photography and creation of textures, I’m learning about construction, animation menus, applicators, texture huds and scripting. My experience in 3-D soware makes me learn quite fast -it’s like working on your own terrain.” A current show called “Samples” is in the Customs Art Gallery. “I was asked to mount a small expo and accepted enanted; I called this “Samples” because this exhibition consists of two different thematic works; one follows the Dragon Book and the other is Futuristic.” When looking at this most recent show, you cannot help but notice that it is mounted inside a cave and that cave images are sprinkled throughout. “I spent many years of my RL in caves - I have practiced caving since I was a ild. I am regular in an area about 4 hours from where I live, the Valley of the Ason. is area is a world paradise of speleology where there are many gigantic systems underground. Página 226
