No puede existir nunca una única definición de belleza--y eso es bueno. Pero todos podemos estar de acuerdo en decir que sin belleza interior, la belleza exterior no es tan importante.

There may never be a singular definition of beauty -- and that is a good thing. But, we can all agree without internal beauty, external beauty doesn’t amount to much.

Recientemente, me he actualizado (mejorado, cambiado, regenerado, reajustado, modernizado) y se ha renovado mi espíritu por dentro y por fuera. He llegado a comprender que no es tan importante como te ves, si no que es cómo te sientes con lo que vistes... lo que te hace sentir libre y renovada.

I recently had a make over and it has renewed my spirit inside and out. I have come to understand it matters not what you look like -- it is how you feel and what you wear that makes you feel free and renewed.

La verdad sea dicha, son las acciones personales las que son más reveladoras de la persona, cuando se muestra el alma al desnudo. No necesitas de una alfombra roja o aprobaciones o portadas de revista para saber que eres especial.

Truth be told, it is one’s actions that are most revelatory --- when someone lays their soul bare. You don’t need red carpet moments or endorsements or even magazine covers to know that you are special.

Versus has had the pleasure of interviewing the newly elected Miss Virtual Spain, Shaili Alex. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s no surprise to discover that there is an amazing real person behind this gorgeous avatar

haiLi’s main focus is on her virtual life. The essence of her happiness is reflected in the way she expresses herself and in the way she interacts with others. She always carries herself with grace and passion.“I joined Second Life in November 2009 with a RL friend who was so enthusiastic about SL that I decided to join. I found that I really enjoyed the ease of interaction and communication among people from all over the world. Although SL is a virtual world, I have had rich experiences here and I have made true friends.”

ShaiLi admits that she lived the contest of Miss Virtual Spain but was nervous. “I was happy to be able to represent the amazing region of Castilla y León in Spain. I always thought the final would be a very special moment for everyone but a very sad too because we would not see each other so frequently as we did during the competition.” The Miss Virtual Spain was a lot more than a contest to ShaiLi. “Miss Virtual Spain was the place where I learned essential things that I try to put into practice every day with the help of my friends. I’m going to attend the course at Versus High Modeling Institute, as prize for winning the Miss Spain crown, and I’m very excited to start because I know I’m going to learn a lot from them. I’m also very proud to be a model for Versus.”

When Shaili began her SL journey she decided to call herself Shaili. “My inspiration came from the name of my old friend, Shailindra, which in hindi means king of the mountains - or something like that - so I decided to use the female version of this name. “ Another surprise is the way Shaili always remembers her friends. “Something interesting about my past is that I’m still friend’s with the first person I met in SL, we actually talk a lot even though we have different interests.”

ShaiLi’s recent victory will bring her directly to the Miss Virtual World pageant, an experience that she lives “… winning Miss Virtual Spain it is like a dream come true. But, I need to confess that I’m somehow a little scared. I want to make sure I will represent Spain in MVW with all my passion. I know it’s going to be hard. I try to learn as much as I can by watching other models;they inspire me to look beautiful whether I win or not. It’s good for me to be challenged at this level because I’m sure I will end up with a lot of new experiences and friends. I’ve changed a lot with MVS.For example, I started to like many different styles. Currently, Miss Virtual World is the top priority of my virtual life and being MVW would be like having a dream career.”

In terms of RL ShaiLi’s believes that the only difference between her avatar and her real life is that in real life she is in a university and that her professional interests are not related to fashion. “I believe my avatar has 100% of myself. ShaiLi is an extension of my identity creatively and I am grateful for the influence and encouragement I get from my SL friends. My sense of fashion style is the same in both lives… the only problem is that I wish I had some of my SL clothes in real life too”. ShaiLi’s fashion career started in 2011 when a friend invited her to take care of her agency’s marketing management. This was ShaiLi’s first encounter with modeling. “Le Coute was a Brazilian agency and they once organized Miss Brazil. I knew nothing about modeling. At that time, I started to work for AVENUE Magazine and it was incredibly cool for me. After one year I left AVENUE and started my own magazine. It was more focused on lifestyle. I had the chance to meet new people and make a lot of friends. They encouraged me to start modeling. I started to work as a model in February 2015. I had a lot of help

ShaiLi is aware that her friends and her boss in particular, Shena Neox are great supporters. “ After many friends encouraged me to start a modeling Shena suggested that Miss Virtual Spain would be a good place to learn a lot --and she was totally right. I had a lot of support from everyone in that contest. The Miss Virtual Spain organization has continued to be such a wonderful supportive group of friends.

Modest and still learning, ShaiLi’s adds, “winning a crown is just a symbolic thing, you need to make sure you deserve this honor every day after the contest untilthe next one. My plans for the future are to dedicate myself to contribute as Miss Spain to the Versus Organization and to concentrate on Miss Virtual World 2016. I will also focus on the agencies, magazines and fashion groups that I have had the honor to join this year: Versus, FashionTellerHouse, The Fantasy Angels, AIM and The Queens. I’m not planning to participate in any other contests for one year so that I’m able to have the time to fulfill my commitments.” ShaiLi’s understands that SL is an amazing world that makes it possible for people to look as they wish. “There are so many possibilities and for me this makes SL the most interesting virtual world so far. I update my skin (to a

little darker tone) and shape almost all the time especially when I need to do a modeling job. I also try to build a wardrobe with high quality accessories in variety of styles. I’ve learned that you need to dedicate your time to organize your inventory in order to style more efficiently.” As a new model, ShaiLi’s admits that the hardest part of modeling is to find a way to get her face out into the SL model community so she tries not to change the essence of my avatar. “I made the choice not to enter many contests, but to try tobe noticed from the those that I enter – I never want to disappoint Miss Virtual Spain. I know that as a contestant in MVW I have to totally focus on styling for each challenge and that every time I walk the runway it is my chance to shine. It’s important to show your best because even if you don’t win, you will have more opportunities as a model. I try to remember that a crown doesn’t

make you a queen, especially if you don’t keep on giving your best.” Over the years, ShaiLi has made small changes but has started to change frequently after starting her activities in the fashion world. “I will never forget that The Miss Virtual Spain contest is responsible for inspiring these style changes through classes that were offered to all participants. It was an incredible and rich learning experience that allowed me to work with such a professional and dedicated team” Beauty contests and the perception of competitors ave changed over the years. At one time beauty was synonymous with stupidity. Often times, those stars showed great intelligence by knowing how to exploit their talents and assets that were protected behind their mask of beauty. Today, women have no fear to show that, beyond beauty, they also have intelligence, a heart and a soul. ShaiLi is a worthy representative of this new generation - she is a beautiful person inside and out. She knows what she wants and is aware that to achieve her objectives, she must commit herself thoroughly every day. Good luck, ShaiLi, we’re all with you! And thanks to prove, once again, that women are not “only legs” but that they also have a mind, a strong will and a touch of ambition that never hurts!.

Esta Versus se reunió con la recién elegida Miss Virtual Spain 2016, Shaili Alex, con la agradable sorpresa de descubrir que hay una persona increíblemente real detrás de este magnífico personaje

haili es sincera en lo que se refiere a su vida virtual. Su felicidad es evidente en sus palabras, haciéndonos entender que ante nosotros se encuentra una persona muy comunicativa que intenta y consigue transmitir a los demás la misma pasión que ella tiene por su vida (virtual) y por la moda en particular “... Llegué a SL en noviembre del 2009 junto con un amigo de la vida real que me explicó lleno de entusiasmo todo lo concerniente a este mundo virtual. Pronto descubrí que la facilidad de interacción en Second Life es fantástica y tenía mucha curiosidad sobre ello. Aunque es un mundo virtual, aquí tuve experiencias muy enriquecedoras e hice verdaderos amigos. Cuando empecé en Second Life, decidí llamarme Shaili. La inspiración me vino del nombre de mi viejo amigo, Shailindra que en hindú significa rey de la montaña - o algo parecido - así que decidí utilizar la versión femenina de su nombre. El lo encontró realmente simpático”. Otro detalle que nos sorprende es que ella no olvida a sus amigos “... Algo interesante acerca de mi pasado es que todavía mantengo la amistad con la primera persona que conocí en SL, actualmente hablamos mucho pero aquí tenemos diferentes intereses”. En su opinión “... la única diferencia entre mi yo real y mi avatar es que en la vida real estoy estudiando en la Universidad y mis intereses profesionales están un poco alejados del mundo de la moda. Creo que mi avatar es 100% yo misma. Shaili es un reflejo de mi identidad en el campo creativo. Pero también es la influencia que recibo de amigos y personas que están conmigo todos los días, personas que admiro. Sobre el sentido del estilo, creo que es el mismo, el único problema es que desearía tener en la vida real algunos de los conjuntos que poseo en SL”. Su carrera en el campo de la moda se inició cuando en “...2011 una amiga me invitó a hacerme cargo de la gestión de marketing de su agencia. Ese fue mi primer contacto con el mundo de la pasarela. Le Coute era una agencia brasileña y organizaron un Miss Brasil en una ocasión. Verdaderamente yo no sabía nada en ese periodo de modelaje, pero luego empecé a trabajar en Avenue Magazine y era increíblemente atractivo para mí. Después de un año dejé la revista Avenue y empecé a trabajar en mi propia revista. Estaba más orientada

Ella es consciente de que sus amigos y nuestra jefa en particular, Shena Neox, fueron un gran apoyo en su carrera. Ella dice que, después de que muchos amigos la animaron a iniciar su carrera como modelo, nuestra Shena le sugirió que “... Miss Virtual Spain sería un buen lugar para aprender muchísimo (ella tenía toda la razón). Tuve mucho apoyo de todos en ese concurso. Toda la organización de Miss Virtual Spain sigue siendo un maravilloso apoyo y grupo de amigos para mí” Su primer pensamiento después de la victoria fué “¿y ahora?”, que era también lo mismo que dijo finalmente cuando volvió al backstage para celebrar todos juntos la final, pero ella admite “... aunque ya tenía respuesta a mi propia pregunta. “

Shaili vivió el concurso de Miss Virtual Spain con terror, pero ella “... estaba feliz de poder representar la increíble región de Castilla y León en España. Siempre pensé que la final sería un momento muy especial para todos pero muy triste también porque dejaríamos de vernos unas a otras con tanta frecuencia como durante la competición. Miss Virtual Spain fué mucho más que un espectáculo para mí, ha sido el lugar donde aprendí las cosas más esenciales que intento poner en práctica todos los días con la ayuda de mis amigos. Voy a asistir al curso de la reconocida academia Versus High Modelling Institute como premio por ganar la corona de Miss España, y estoy muy emocionada porque sé que voy a aprender mucho con tan grandes profesionales. Estoy también muy orgullosa de formar parte del exclusivo grupo de Modelos de Versus.”

Ella también añade “... ganar una corona es solo algo simbólico, una tiene que estar segura de que lo ha merecido cada día después del concurso hasta la próxima Miss. Así que mis planes para el futuro son dedicarme a mi misma a contribuir como Miss España con la organización de Versus y concentrarse en el Miss Virtual World 2016 y a las agencias, revistas y grupos de moda a los que tuve el honor de unirme este año, como: Versus, Fashion teller house, The Fantasy Angels, AIM y The Queens. No estoy planeando participar en ningún otro concurso este año para así tener la disponibilidad y tiempo necesario para mis compromisos.”

De todos modos decidió “... no participar en muchos concursos para intentar dar lo mejor de mí en lo que participe y así mantener lo mejor posible mi perseverancia y no decepcionar como Miss España Virtual.”

Ella sabe muy bien que “... Second Life es un mundo increíble que hace posible a las personas aparecer como deseen. Hay muchas posibilidades y para mí esto es lo mas interesante del mundo virtual hasta ahora. Actualizo mi piel (hacia un tono un poco más oscuro) y la figura casi todo el tiempo pues lo necesito para mi trabajo como modelo. Ahora intento organizar mi inventario con accesorios de gran calidad y diferentes estilos. He aprendido que se necesita dedicar tiempo para organizarlo, lo que te hace capaz de trabajar más rápido. Además, no puedes permitirte ser un modelo obsoleto especialmente si te conviertes en habitual. Para mí, como nueva modelo, la parte más difícil es encontrar una manera de que mi rostro se distinga entre toda la comunidad de SL así que intento no cambiar la esencia de mi avatar. Tomé la decisión de no entrar en muchos concursos sino de destacar ya desde el primer momento en el que participé por lo que voy a

Pero tengo que confesar que de alguna manera estoy un poco asustada. Quiero que sepan que representaré a España con todo mi compromiso y dedicación en Miss Virtual World. Sé que va a ser duro y trato de aprender lo más posible observando otras modelos para hacer algo hermoso, gane o no gane. Pero es bueno para mí participar en desafíos a este nivel porque estoy segura de que terminaré mi participación con un montón de nuevas experiencias. He cambiado mucho con Miss Virtual Spain, empezaron a gustarme cosas nuevas... distintas y rehusé otras. Miss Virtual World es hoy por hoy la prioridad de mi vida virtual. Si sucediera eso sería como tener una carrera de ensueño para mí.”

Ella también es consciente de que, en Miss Virtual World debe tratar de “... estar totalmente concentrada durante cada reto y que cada vez que tenga que entrar en la pasarela sea una oportunidad de sobresalir o no, pero mejor intentando brillar. Es importante mostrar lo mejor que puedes hacer porque aunque no ganes, de todos modos, comenzarás a tener más oportunidades como modelo. Trato de recordarme a mí misma que una corona no hace de ti realmente una reina sino que debes seguir dando lo mejor de ti”. Así pues, a pesar de quien ella es hoy en día “... el resultado de varios cambios durante estos cinco años. Sin embargo, comencé a cambiar más a menudo después de iniciar mis actividades en el mundo de la moda.”, y eso ella no lo olvida “... El concurso de Miss Virtual Spain es el responsable de estos cambios a través de las clases que fueron ofrecidas a todas los participantes. “Fué un increíble y enriquecedor periodo de aprendizaje trabajar con un equipo tan dedicado y tan profesional” porque para ella “... siempre hay algo que aprender. “ Versus se complace de ver que los tiempos y las personas han cambiado. En el pasado los competidores de concursos de belleza brillaban por su habilidad en poner de relieve su estupidez y parecía que soñaban en convertirse en artistas de cine sólo gracias a su belleza. No estamos diciendo que fuera solo culpa suya, en aquel momento era todavía generalizada la creencia de que la belleza era sinónimo de estupidez. En cambio, demostraron una gran inteligencia en saber explotar sus talentos, protegiéndolas detrás de una máscara de belleza y de estupidez. Por el contrario, las mujeres de la nueva generación no temen mostrar que, más allá de la belleza, también tienen un cerebro, un corazón y un alma. Shaili es una digna representante de esta nueva generación, ella es una persona bella no solo externamente sino también internamente, ella sabe lo que quiere y es consciente que para lograr sus objetivos, debe comprometerse consigo misma completamente cada día. Buena suerte, Shaili, ¡estamos todos contigo! Y gracias por demostrar, una vez más, que las mujeres no son “solo piernas bonitas” sino que tienen también un cerebro, una fuerte voluntad y un toque de ambición que ¡nunca sobra!.

Phlegethon As Lawrence of Rome, slow roasted with heat from the coals on a grill, we squirm under uncertainty creeping sweaty behind our eyes, hidden, pushing us toward a fiery crucible of grief, of persistent dispair. It’s that misgiving what burns us slowly and makes our life a procession of fiery red sunsets, a river of molten rock licking our charred skin and inflames our eyes and throat. This is our punishment, this is our global warming and these are our wings, melted for wanting to fly higher than the Sun, for enslaving what is born free, for being the only animal that is not afraid of the flame.

Flegetonte Como San Lorenzo, asados al calor lento de las brasas sobre una parrilla, nos retorcemos bajo la incertidumbre que se arrastra sudorosa tras nuestros ojos, escondida, empujándonos por la borda hacia un crisol de llameante pesadumbre, de pertinaz desconsuelo. Es esa duda la que nos quema poco a poco y que hace de nuestra vida una ígnea procesión de rojos atardeceres, un río de roca fundida que lame nuestra piel carbonizada y que inflama nuestros ojos y nuestra garganta. At Versus high modelling institute we do not offer classes based on levels, our policy is that all models need and should learn everything in a single complete course. From the very first lesson we will teach you everything about the specific theme of that class.

SHANNON BRAMLINGTON - MISS AZUL 2016

A Sweetheart Shannon is the winner of one of SL’s most prestigious contests, Miss AZUL. Shannon rezzed into SL and like many of us had a few computer challenges. “I saw SL on television in 2007; however my computer couldn’t handle the viewer and I was unable to download it. When I received a new computer in 2009, I decided to try SL again and I have been here ever since”

lways, with an eye for fashion and styling, Shannon tells Versus that she started to look into modeling schools in 2014 in order to be more helpful to the ladies entering the Ms Sweethearts Pageant. “I found the Regal Modeling Academy and it seemed a great fit for the pageant; but before sending all the ladies there I decided to take the classes myself to see what type of education the ladies would get. A month after I began classes the Miss Azul Competition was announced, and I knew I had to enter to up my game.” Shannon admits, “I never really wanted to be a model to be honest. It came upon me by accident, but I realized it was what I had to do to become a contestant for Miss Azul.” Once the modeling bug bites… it is challenging, fun and so rewarding. “Being Miss Azul has been a dream for me since 2011. I didn’t know what it took to become this prestigious face of fashion. I just knew that AZUL was my go to brand for all things formal. It was Mami’s generosity that first led me to AZUL, her group gifts were fabulous and I was excited to wear things that were of quality. The longer I was in SL the more I could see the jewel that is Azul and Mami Jewel. When the contest was announced I knew it was time for me to throw my hat in the ring and try.”

had added feathers to her outfit, and thought to myself – “if I turn these ribbons upside down the sashes will flare... let’s see how this looks.” The results were a risk, but it seemed to work and so did the styling I made around the upside down ribbons :).” When Versus asked Shannon why she thought she had the winning look, she was so modest, a winning quality in any person. “To me, I didn’t think I had the winning look, but I think in flipping the ribbons of the gown upside down created a new idea and showed creativity. I think that is what might have done it in the end.” Competing and placing is a validation of spirit and style –many of us like the challenges and usually we never believe we can actually win… but Shannon won… and is the reigning Miss AZUL, and that is something to celebrate. “Winning to me, meant the world!! In RL I was doing the “ugly cry”. I couldn’t believe I was standing on that stage, let alone winning it. I was so happy to even BE there. At the end of the competition, I was simply speechless and overwhelmed. I think this competition was a businesswoman meets model meets marketing guru. It will definitely be talked about for years to come and may change the fashion world of pageantry for years to come. And I’m thrilled and excited to be apart of it and to be part of the AZUL Brand.” Shannon is a winner in all ways, and has some excellent advice to give to models, to aspiring models…and to everyone that is creative in SL. “There’s a phrase that I repeat to myself in most anything I do. “Go big or go home”. You have to be willing to try. You have to be willing to put yourself out there, and remember the reason WHY you are doing this. Whether it’s for love of fashion, for love of the brand, or for the challenge of it. Don’t forget the reason you started. It will serve you well as you continue on in every competition. And when you win, remember the supporters who told you that you could do it all along. When you’re time is over, they will still be there with you. I’d tell new contestants to trust your gut, lay low of any drama, and have fun with it. Take risks, be fierce, and don’t be afraid to take a risk with your poses. And to remember, when it’s all over, the experience of it is always worth the hard work, win or lose.”

Shannon is a gracious competitor and tells Versus, “The contest was fierce! A highly organized competition of marketing plans, blogging, styling, presentations, fashion shows, research challenges, questionnaires and voice interviews. The contest was organized by the AZUL team and lead mostly by Chloe Electra and so well done.” Azul asked for two “inspirations” where the contestant’s imaginations could go wild with creativity that is the very heartbeat of SL. “The inspiration for the first look was the butterflies. When I look at RL butterflies I noticed they’re not all one color, so I used a color wheel to look at complimenting colors and found that the color combination of the Ruby and the Sugalite was amazing.” For the second look the contestants were asked to style the same gown, the -AZULAmalia without additions, styling it only. “I saw the Miss AZUL 2011 Miss Ponchituti Boucher

“I love music”

the first place! “I love music!! I spend a lot of time at our ballroom, and I love to build buildings. I seem to have developed a passion for architecture that I never had before SL. I enjoy playing with my husband on SL, its great to take a vacation in SL and save the real life expense! lol.” Shannon was very sincere in her love of creativity and fashion (and music!) in SL. “I want people to know that my love of -AZULbrought me to this competition, and it wasn’t just a competition of styling and being pretty, it was a new twist on a “Miss” competition to find someone with business sense, as well, and I hope people embrace that. I want them to know that I am the same, with or without the crown, that I’m down to earth and expect nothing and am always humbly grateful for everything that happens in my life.” As for the future, Shannon, with her sense of humor says, “I’m going to Disney World! Shannon es la ganadora de uno de los más prestigiosos concursos de SL, Miss Azul y cómo muchos de nosotros se enfrentó a algunos desafíos informáticos “Conocí Second Life en la televisión en el año 2007 pero mi ordenador no tenía entonces los requisitos necesarios para poderlo descargar. Cuando recibí mi ordenador nuevo en el 2009 decidí intentarlo de nuevo, y aquí he estado desde entonces...

iempre con la vista puesta en la moda y el estilismo, Shannon nos comenta a Versus que ella comenzó el aprendizaje de la moda en 2014 para ser de más ayuda a las chicas que entraron en el concurso Ms Sweethearts. “Encontré la Regal Modeling Academy y me pareció que sería bueno tomar las lecciones yo misma para conocer el tipo de formación que era necesaria. Un mes después de comenzar las clases se anunció el concurso de Miss Azul y supe que tenía que entrar. Con ese fin comencé mi preparación. Shannon admite que “Honestamente, nunca pensé en ser modelo, llegó a mí por casualidad. Pero cuando comenzó el concurso Miss Azul, supe que es eso lo que tenía que hacer para llegar a ser una buena concursante”. Una vez que el mundo de la moda llama es divertido, desafiante y muy gratificante “Ser Miss Azul ha sido mi sueño desde el 2011. No sabía qué era necesario para llegar a ser la prestigiosa imagen de esta marca, solo sabía que Azul era mi marca preferida en vestidos de gala. Fue la generosidad de Mami la que me llevó a Azul. Sus regalos de grupo eran fabulosos y yo me sentía encantada de poder llevar vestidos de calidad. A medida que pasaba el tiempo en SL pude ver la joya que es Azul y Mami Jewel. Cuando el concurso fue anunciado, supe que era el momento de liarme la manta a la cabeza e intentarlo”

Shannon es divertida y comenta a Versus “¡El concurso fue feroz! . Una competición altamente planeada en los aspectos de marketing, blogs, estilismos, presentaciones, desfiles de moda, retos de investigación, cuestionarios y entrevistas de voz. El concurso fue organizado por el equipo de Azul, y en su mayor parte por Chloe Electra”

Azul pidió dos inspiraciones dónde la inspiración dónde las concursantes podían dar rienda suelta a su creatividad. “La inspiración para el primer look me llegó observando las mariposas. Cuando las miraba en RL me di cuenta de que no eran de un solo color, asi qué busqué los colores disponibles y encontré la asombrosa combinación de los colores rubí y sugilita. Para el segundo look se nos pidió que todas hiciésemos un estilismo del mismo vestido “Azul Amalia” sin añadidos de otros vestidos, simplemente el estilismo. Vi una foto en que Ponchituti Boucher Miss Azul 2011 había añadido plumas a su vestido así que pensé ¿y si pongo los lazos bocabajo? El resultado era arriesgado ¡pero parecía funcionar! y así hice el estilismo poniendo todos esos lazos del revés”. Cuando Versus pregunta a Shannon por qué cree que su estilismo fue el ganador, ella nos responde modestamente, una cualidad añadida en su persona. “No creo haber tenido el look ganador, pero creo que el voltear los lazos aportó una nueva idea, y eso es lo que yo creo qué puede haberme hecho ganar el look”. Competir y conseguir buen puesto son una buena prueba de espíritu y estilo. A muchos de nosotros nos gustan los retos y normalmente nunca creemos que podamos ganar, pero Shannon gana y... es la actual Miss Azul, y eso es algo para celebrar. “¡Significó el mundo entero! En RL yo estaba chillando de alegría, ¡no podía creer que yo estaba allí en el escenario, sola, como ganadora! Estaba tan feliz de estar allí. Al final de la competición estaba sin palabras, abrumada. Creo que esta competición fue como...mujer ejecutiva encuentra modelo gurú del marketing. Será sin duda un tema de conversación en los años venideros y puede cambiar el mundo de la moda, de los desfiles en los próximos años. Estoy encantada y emocionada de ser parte de todo esto y de la marca Azul”

una pasión por la arquitectura que nunca tuve antes de entrar a SL. Me encanta jugar con mi marido SL, es fantástico tomar unas vacaciones en SL y ahorrar el gasto que esto sería en la vida real... jajaja”. Shannon es muy sincera mostrándonos su amor por la creatividad y la moda en SL. “Quiero que la gente conozca mi amor por Azul, que es lo que me ha llevado a esta competición de Miss. Buscaban a alguien con un sentido de los negocios también, y, espero que la gente lo apruebe. Quiero que sepan que sigo siendo la misma, con o sin corona, que estoy con los pies en la tierra y que no espero nada, que siempre estoy humildemente agradecida con todo lo que ocurre en mi vida” Para el futuro, Shannon, con su sentido del humor nos dice: “Me voy a Disney World!! Estoy bromeando. Ahora mismo tengo varias sesiones de fotos y entrevistas que hacer. Aparte de eso, tengo muchas ganas de ver lo que será AZUL en el futuro y me siento emocionada por ser parte de él.”.

Shannon es una ganadora en todos los sentidos y tiene algunos preciosos consejos que dar a las modelos, a las aspirantes a modelos y cualquier persona creativa dentro de SL. “Hay una frase que me repito a mí misma en casi todo lo que hago. Hazlo a lo grande o vete a tu casa. Tú tienes que querer intentarlo, desear exponerte y recordar la razón de por qué estás haciendo esto. Si es por amor a la moda, por amor a la marca o por simple reto. No olvides la razón que te empujó a comenzar. Esto te servirá en cada nueva competición, y, cuando ganes, recuerda a las personas que te apoyaron, las personas que te dijeron todo el tiempo que

podías conseguirlo. Cuando tu tiempo se haya acabado, esas personas seguirán estando allí contigo. Diría a las nuevas concursantes de confiar en su propio instinto, lejos de dramas y divertirse con ello. Que se arriesguen, que sean valientes y no temer tomar riesgos con las poses. Y, cuando todo haya terminado, recordar la experiencia que queda de todo ello. Siempre merece la pena, ganes o pierdas”. Shannon también se divierte en SL, la razón más importante para estar en SL. “¡Adoro la música! Paso la mayor parte de mi tiempo en las salas de baile y me encanta construir edificios. Es como si hubiese desarrollado

This small sample of watercolors is my tribute, my very personal tribute, to the extraordinary forests of these islands considered Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It is a work done with passion and affection of whom, even from other lands, one day discovered the magic and beauty of a breathtaking and magical nature, much older than men and that for sure met the great dinosaurs.

Accessories ~ This fall and winter we have returned to big, gorgeous oversized jewelry with a minimal design. Bling is back with big earrings, eyeglasses, updated brooches and sparkling jewelry. The ethos of jewelry is pure adornment and chokers this fall are linear and strong while necklaces have a baroque vibe perfect for those with an eye for the ornate.

Say hello to ankle boots this fall and winter with chic stiletto heels in a myriad of interesting colors and textures. Look for shoes that leverage two colors or consist of a patchwork of textures and color contrasts that are just plain fun. If you like “furry feet” wear a pair of boots that are embellished with so much fur that it looks like you have raided Chewbacca’s closet! As for accessories, pocketbooks have never been so much fun from daring lux fur bags that are just begging to be touched. Look for artfully embellished bags with lots of fringe and exuberantly colored bags with metal studs suggesting rocker glam. As for metal bags– no matter which type of metal you choose, you will be on the right side of the coin.
