Every year, the Brite Star fair was a thrilling event. The kids couldn’t wait for the games, rides, and delicious food!

Missy looked forward to the fair most of all. She loved riding her special horse in the equestrian contest each year.

This year, Missy had competition. Kendall, her best friend, was also riding in the equestrian contest.

As Missy and Kendall lined up, the spectators held their breaths. The equestrian contest was about to start!

The contest was thrilling! Both girls showed excellent horsemanship, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Kendall won the contest. Missy was surprised but clapped happily for her friend.

Kendall shared her trophy with Missy, showing great sportsmanship. Their joy was infectious.

After the contest, the girls shared a big group hug. They were proud of each other.

Suddenly, Whit announced, “Next year, you both will compete against me!” The declaration sent everyone into fits of laughter.

The fair went on, everyone enjoying the rides, games, and treats. The laughter and cheers echoed into the night.

As the day ended, memories of the joyful fair lingered. It had been another wonderful Brite Star adventure!

Think About It 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

What was special about the Brite Star annual fair for Missy? Who else competed in the equestrian contest this year? How did Kendall behave after winning? How did everyone celebrate Kendall’s win? What did Whit announce that made everyone laugh?

Let’s Work Together

Good sportsmanship is about cheering for each other, just like Missy and Kendall did. Even in a competition, we can be happy for our friends’ success

I Will

I will always cheer for my friends, just like Missy did for Kendall. Even if I don’t win, I will celebrate my friends’ victories.

Why This Matters

Learning to celebrate others’ successes helps us build strong friendships and communities. Good sportsmanship and camaraderie are important values to uphold.
