• The monitoring reports produced annually by the National Phytosanitary Authority show that the percentage of products with pesticide residues is below the maximum allowed, so there is no risk to consumers.
Vegetables and fruits produced in Romania are controlled from the point of view of pesticide residues in accordance with European provisions. Phytosanitary inspectors within Phytosanitary Offices take samples according to the sampling schedule and submit them to laboratories for analysis.
