INTRODUCTION Magazine Travel to Europe and Asia, carried out within the Erasmus project: "Motivating the learning engine to increase the academic, professional and social success of the student and reduce absenteeism", no. 2019-1-RO01-KA229-063851_1, funded by the European Commission. The coordinating project includes the Romanian school, which has as partner schools from Turkey-Izmir, Spain-Burriana and Croatia-Osijek. Through this magazine we try to support teachers in teaching, through which they can probably debate any school subject, including the motivation to learn and the freedom through learning, but also to promote the idea that traveling improves your basic skills. In this project, students have dominated mobility, because students are the engine on which the European community is built and the knowledge-based economy develops. Hence the main reason for this project, to enable students to learn through different methods. The objectives can be achieved through student learning and teacher training activities and by applying their innovative methods in all partner schools. The activities will consist of workshops with the exchange of good practices and direct interaction, didactic, cultural, moral. The purpose of the students: Increasing the self-esteem of the students who participate in the learning activity; The development of students participating in the project-based learning activity of a positive attitude towards school education; Developing students participating in the project-based learning process, the ability to be aware of their own learning process based on awareness of the usefulness of theory in a practical context; The development of students in the project learning activity, of the capacity of career orientation based on the awareness of the importance of the qualification for studies; Developing the number of students participating in activities to learn the feeling of equal opportunities in education in partner countries. Thanks to the partners for their collaboration, I hope that the teachers and students will find in this book great, good places to visit and look at the Erasmus program with great enthusiasm. The magazine can be used by teachers and students in courses in tourism, geography, history, English, extracurricular activities. Project coordinator, professor Drăguț Violeta

Romanian Cultural Experiences Made by teaher, Verónica Nebot Costa Ies Jaume I, Spain Travelling to Romania is my mobility as an Erasmus Teacher. I love discovering new cultures and cities and Romania was one of them. There is a huge community of Romanian people in my region and I have always been curious to know more about their culture and I think that visiting a country is the best experience. We travelled in Christmas times, so we could see how important is this festivity for them. The streets and squares were decorated with Christmas ornaments the lights dressed the city and towns. I was lucky to travel with my mates, who are also as curious as me, and during our free time we used to walk through the city to discover new places. One of the most interesting things for us was how different are Orthodox churches from Catholic ones. We had the feeling that religion is very important for Romanian people and we had the opportunity to visit one and to join a mass. We observed some different customs during the mass and how bright are the pictures on the walls. Moreover, we also had a traditional dinner with our host and we could taste some delicious Romanian dishes. Furthermore, we knew that Romania is actually a young country, but with many history below. For this reason, we visited some museums and buildings to know more about the country. First of all, we had a great time visiting the Golesti Museum. This indoor and outdoor museum is very important to understand the formation of the country and specially the region we were visiting, Wallachia. A guide explained us briefly some important facts of the setting up of the country. After that, he showed us how were the typical houses of the region in medieval times. It was a nice tour to know a little bit of the history of this country. Secondly, sports are very important in Romania and we could observe that Arges have many important sporty people in many different disciplines. For that, we visited a sports museum in Pitesti. Finally, but not less important, we all know that Romania is famous because of its mountains and castles. We had the great opportunity to visit two of the most popular ones: Castle Peles and Castle Bran. It is very interesting to know that Castle Peles was built by order of Carlo I at the end of the 19th century. It used to be the summer residence of the royal family until the arrival of the Communism political system. The other castle we visited was Castle Bran, commonly known for being the house for just few days of Vlad Tepes, the Wallachian prince who inspired the legend of Dracula. What is more, during our last day in Romania we booked a free-tour in Bucarest to know about the city. A guide explained us some facts about the country, the city and how the Communism political system was developed in the country.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture To conclude, I must say that the history and culture of this country are much more interesting than I expected and I am very happy to share this experience with my travelling mates and more colleagues at High School.

Croatia Made by Student- Unax Garrido Gracia Ies Jaume I, Spain Hi my name is Unax and I’m going to write my story about Croacia. We spent 5 awesome days. We met incredible people and we learned a lot of things. I stayed in the same house with 2 of my partners Rubén, David and my host Andriaj. He and his family showed us a lot of traditions of Croatia and they gave us traditional food. The first few days we discovered that Croatian people painted a lot of graffitis because we did one and also we made a mosaic about a superhero with tiles. This is the result. Also in our free time we saw all the city, and we discovered the best invention in the world, the scooters. We saw all the city with one of them and we liked it a lot. The 21st we went on a tour around the river Drava in Kopački Rit. We saw a lot of birds like crows and other things. This day I discovered that Croatia is a cold country C: On Thursday, we met Spanish and Croatian people to go bowling at the city Mall. We went by tram. Also we took advantage of the trip and we bought some presents for our families. We had a lot of fun that night. The last day, The Spanish team went to Budapest, to take the flight and see the city.

For me, it is a very beautiful city, there are a lot of

monuments to see and many places where you can have fun. Saw a football match. Discover some strange things And some other things, but in general we managed it well. This is my trip to Croatia, I hope you enjoyed this more than me Croatia ;D. PS: This is a little bit difficult.

My experience in Croatia Made by Student- Martina Bodí Segura Ies Jaume I, Spain About a month ago I had the opportunity to go abroad to Croatia with the erasmus+ programme. On 19th September 2021, my spanish partners and I took a plane to Budapest, where we took a bus to Osijek, the city where the project was going to be executed. 11

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture Once we got to Osijek, our host families were waiting for us to arrive. I can’t explain with words the feeling when I saw mine for the first time, for not mentioning what I felt when I asked my host partner what was her name and she just answered with the same name I have, that was definitely funny… From the very first moment my croatian family was very kind to me, in fact, the first night Martina gathered her friends together so that I could meet them. Basically, in general terms the project consisted in assisting to school at 9am every day and doing all sort of workshops, and once these ended we had free time to spend with our host partners, except for monday, tuesday and thursday because those days the school planned some activities outside of the building: SCHOOL WORKSHIPS AND ACTIVITIES These activities were creative ones like a graffiti execution, but also pedagogical ones as for example “in my partners mirror”, in which we had to describe good qualities about our partners. All this stuff aimed to increase our self-esteem, to use our imagination, to learn about new issues as guerilla marketing and how they affect us, moreover it favoured our initiative and spontaneity and last but not least it created relationships between people of different cultures and countries, enabling us to widen our perspective around so many different aspects in life. some planned outdoor activities These other activities aimed to let the foregin students to know more about Osijek and about Croatia. As I said before, there were 3 planned outdoor activities, which were executed after the indoor activities ended, always after having lunch in the school: Monday-Visit to the town hall and meeting a politician: This building was wonderful and the mayor was really nice with us. Tuesday-Visit to Kopački Rit Nature Park: We took a boat and went on a tour around this amazing place, the tour guide let us know the autochthonous species and lots of curious facts about Kopački Rit Thursday-Tour around Tvrđa: Tvrđa is the oldest part in Osijek, and a tour guide showed all the secrets and history of this magical place to my partners on thursday 12

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture evening. I wasn’t actually there because my host family had just planned other things to do with me during that afternoon, which I’ll mention later on.

Romanian Cultural Experiences Made by student, Ariadna Monfort Ferrandis Ies Jaume I, Spain My experience in Romania was good, although I have to say that I did not start very well. The cause was the house where I stayed, not because I was bad people but they did not make me feel completely comfortable. But then there was a problem with transportation and I had to move house with two more companions. From that moment I began to feel more comfortable there, that family transmitted more confidence to me. They were super attentive to us in case we needed something, what we wanted to eat all day. At school I had a strange feeling, because the people there had never seen people from outside and they asked you for photos in Instagram. I thought it was super nice how we were all treated there. They made me feel comfortable, despite being away from home. Throughout the week we visited many places, Tuesday we visited the ethnological museum of Romania and then we went to the Pitesti center to see the Christmas decoration. On Wednesday morning we did many activities at school and in the afternoon we went to a museum where there were many minerals and all kinds of sports. On Thursday morning we visited the Peleș Castel castle and in the afternoon we visited the Dracula castle. We also saw snow on the bus ride. On Friday we stayed at school and went to visit a church then we went to the town hall, we also made a dictionary of all the countries. And before lunch we went to get our diploma, and at the same time they gave us a gift. And to say goodbye we all took a photo together with the diploma. Our last day was on Saturday when we spent the day in Bucharest with the teachers. We took a tour to get to know Bucharest better, had lunch at Mc donalds and in the afternoon we went on our own. And when the time came, we went to the airport because we had to stay overnight. The flight departed on Sunday at seven in the morning. What I enjoyed most about the trip was the visit to the castles and all the history I learned, all their culture, traditions, the way of life they lead. The Erasmus has been a beautiful experience that everybody should do sometime in their life because it makes you know another way of life and of course improve the language, for example English. The week went by very quickly and of course I would repeat this experience again.

My story in Croatia Made by Student- Yago Sanahuja Pegueroles Ies Jaume I, Spain Hello, my name is Yago and I had fun in Croatia. There, we were doing some amazing and funny activities. The first day, we did an activity to learn our partners’ names. We had to pass a ball and say our name and country. The next two days, we were doing painting activities, especially graffitis and mosaics.

The other days, we did a tour about some monuments in Osijek, and also we did an excursion to a natural park and we did a boat trip to see a very beautiful lake.

In our free time, me and my host did a lot of activities like watching a football match, visiting some monuments, and meeting his friends… And we did activities all together (Spanish people and our hosts) like going bowling, or taking scooters to do a tour. Finally, about my host family, they were very friendly and nice with me. 14

Mobility in Romania Made by student, Tea Kockarević Graditeljsko - geodetska school Osijek, Croatia We did not stay long in Romania. We had a few problems at the border and through our trip to Romania. But we had some great time. It awas very funny expirience. We didn't see much in Romania, but we visited their school and grain factory. We been in Romania for few hours, but I had great time with my host. I saw some old friends and I'm very sad because I didn't stay there as much as I want. We had some great time. We visit Piteşti, very beautiful city. I hope so that I will visit Romania one more time and have some great time with all my friends from there.

Romania Made by Student- Maria Granell Puchol Ies Jaume I, Spain Before I left for Romania with the Spanish team, I was looking forward to the trip. Once we arrived at the airport in Bucharest, two cars brought us to the families. I was staying with a friend of mine in the same house and the experience was something new for me. We expected our partner to speak English, but unfortunately this was a dream. On the first day, Monday, we went with our partners to school, where they prepared some activities to learn some of the traditions in Romania. We spent the day with our partners in the evening, which was a lot of fun.

15

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture The next day, on Tuesday, I went to school but we did other Christmas activities, so we split into three groups to teach us better, it was quite interesting for me their Christmas traditions because in Spain they are different, but I like it too. On the third day our teachers gave us the opportunity to move to another house in Costesti, so my friend and I decided to move to another house and there was a change for the better, fortunately we made a great decision. moving and we were very happy about it. Outdoor activities were the best. Romania has been very beautiful and has places where you feel in love at first sight. We had to do two activities at school on Tuesday morning, so the Spanish and Turkish teams split up. At the beginning we made Christmas cards in pairs and once we finished we went to the final activity where the students and two teachers danced and sang us Romanian folk songs, finally they invited us to dance with them. In the evening I went to a museum called the Ethnological Museum of Romania, where I saw period houses. After that, the teachers gave us the chance to choose whether we would prefer to go home and rest or continue to follow the places. On Thursday, the fourth day after the activities, I went to a mineral museum where I saw some very special ones. After visiting it I went to another sports museum where I saw important athletes in volleyball, football, kayaking, boxing and bowling. It was very interesting to see what they did and what they used. The best day of the trip for me was Thursday because I visited Transylvania, although it was a very difficult trip due to the three or four hours in the omnibus. During the trip I listened to music and talked to my partner, so it was quite funny. When I arrived, it was so cold, I was freezing even though I was very sheltered, but it didn't matter to me because I was so excited to visit this city. Our first stop was at Peles Castle, we saw all the rooms and it was wonderful and in the evening we went to Bran Castle, which was amazing, the views from the top floor were everything I saw on the internet, I visited all the rooms and did so great photos there. The last day was Friday and it was so sad because we didn't want to go back to our country. That day we went to the town hall where the mayor received us and told us how happy we are to be there, after that we went to a theater where the students danced with us, but also with the teachers, then we they gave diplomas and a gift. In the evening we went home to get our suits ready and to rest. In conclusion, I recommend everyone to do an Erasmus + because all the things you can learn from other cultures being in other countries, a plus for me was the independence you can catch traveling with teachers and without your parents, so I hope that One day I'll have another chance to do another Erasmus.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture

Turkey Made by Student- Marta Monfort Vicent Ies Jaume I, Spain My experience in Turkey was amazing and I am sure that I will never forget this wonderful Erasmus trip. At the beginning, I didn't believe I was going to travel but when we left the airport in Izmir I was very excited and when I saw the student with whom I was going to stay for a whole week. She is called Zeynep and at the moment she has become a very good friend. When I arrived at her home I was welcomed very well by the family. I was a bit embarrassed but soon we got to know each other and on the second day I felt part of the family. The first day, we went to the town of Izmir. We went to visit the surrounding area with other colleagues. We were out all day and we had dinner at home. What surprised me was the great amount of food they ate, and by the way their eating schedule was very different to the Spanish one. Anyway, I got used to it easily and I have to say that the traditional dishes were absolutely delicious! In general, from Monday to Friday what we did was going to school in the morning, where we were having lunch in the cantine, and once we had finished the school’s activities each day we had something to do in the afternoons: Some days they consisted basically in free time, during which Zeynep took me to have walk around the city or to the mall, and some other days the project had programmed activities as visiting museums, monuments or highlights like the Ephesus. We came back to Spain on 27th of November, when we took the plane again and also did the same stopovers. My best memories of the trip are: when Zeynep introduced me to all her family and we talked about oranges in Turkey because they are in fact imported to the Valencian community. When I introduced them to our culture: fallas, music… And something I really liked was the plane’s services because they gave us food and all sorts of facilities!!! In conclusion, I loved absolutely everything about the trip but if I had to say one bad thing about it is that I had to do all the

Izmir, Turkey Made by teacher- Consuelo Maria Diago Aymimir Ies Jaume I, Spain Izmir, Turkey has been my first Erasmus ever and I think it had been the best professional experience in the last years. I have been thinking for a long time about getting into an Erasmus project, and at this moment I am very happy with the decision I made. Traveling with the students and teachers, and meeting new people from other countries with different customs has been an enriching process at all levels. We arrived to Izmir on Saturday night, and the mobilily began on Monday, so we had all Sunday to make contact with the city. It was on Sunday when we realized how friendly people were and how beautiful the city was. When we arrived at the Şehit Mustafa Yaman Aihl on Monday we could see how good hosts the Turkish team were. Then we meet our partners Croatians and Romanians. Everything was very organized, both the morning and afternoon activities. On Monday afternoon everyone in this mobility, teachers and students, visited the city hall, where there was a representative of provincial directorate of national education, who welcomed us to the city and asked us how we were feeling and what surprised us the most. After that, all people went to visit different parts of the city. We were in the amazing Clock Tower and also visited the archeological Museum. Later, we enjoyed a walk in the huge and beautiful Kemeralti Bazaar. Walking through the bazaar, we felt the different smells, spices, tea, Turkish coffee, juices, and we observed all kinds of shops and different people everywhere. What is clear is that Turkish people like to live on the streets. Another thing I discovered in Izmir, is Turkish food. I think I fell in love with their food. At the welcoming dinner, we were able to taste a lot of typical meals, which I enjoyed so much. Everyday after lunch, we had either activities to do or places to visit. One day, we visited a touristic place, Çeçme-Alaçati. This place is very nice coast town where we walked, spent a good time, and where we tasted our first backlava. It was so good! Another day, we visited the Inciraltı Ship Museum, it was interesting to enter the military ship and imagine how soldiers lived on the open ocean for so long. Furthermore, the soldier who showed us the ship lived there in fact. 18

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture However, one of the most desired visits was the visit to Ephesus and it did not disappoint at all. It was a wonderful experience to wander the famous avenue, contemplate the front of the library or go up the steps of the theater, or look Adriano's temple as they did in ancient times. One of the afternoons we had dinner in a part of the institute, where there was a singer playing a baglama. We learned some typical dances of the area. We were also able to share the teacher's day in Turkey, which is a very important day there; we all celebrated, including the students. All the teachers had dinner at the institute, chatting and dancing. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my first Erasmus mobility. I have loved Izmir and above all I have liked the people I have met there, the Turkish, Croatian and Romanian group, as well as all the experiences that I create. Knowing different cultures opens minds and makes you grow as a person.

Turkish Mobility Made by student- Bianca Marta Bucura Ies Jaume I, Spain The trip to Turkey was incredible. We met lots of interesting people, beautiful places such as the Clock Tower from Konak and tasted the best food I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. The first place we went to was the archeological museum and the city hall, where we were welcomed with kindness. Other places were the bazaar from Izmir where we tasted Turkish coffee with lokum, which was delicious, and shared time with our Turkish partners. Also, my host family and the Turkish partners gave me different types of food as: Pilav: it’s composed of rice, meat and sometimes potatoes. It has a delicious taste and it can be eaten by lots of people because of the simplicity of the ingredients. Kebab: made of meat, pita and different types of supplements such as tomato or onion. As a very known food around the world, tasting it from their origin surprised me because of the big difference 19

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture

between the kebab I know and the Turkish one. Bomba: dough filled with a lot of chocolate in this case, but there are several types such as cherries, caramel or white chocolate. It was so tasty when I took a bite because all the chocolate filled my mouth. The dough was very good and the only one I didn’t like was the caramel one, because it was so sweet for me.

My Experience in Croatia Made by student- David Florin Balan Ies Jaume I, Spain Hi I’m David and I’m going to explain how my experience as an Erasmus student was. In the first place, our plane trip. We had 3 very playful hours, with a lot of music. Then, we spent another 3 hours on a bus from Budapest Airport to Osijek,Croatia. When we arrived, I was very excited to know who was my host. There were some people waiting for us, but my host arrived 15 minutes later. At the beginning, we were very nervous because this experience was new for us. After a few minutes, we arrived at his home, we saw a little bit of his house and he introduced me to his mother.Later that day, we went for a walk to see the city. After a few hours and some scooter traveling we went to dinner. I ate a very cheap burger, but it was very tasty.

20

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture The second day, we went to Osijek high school, we did a little tour and we went to class. After some hours of class activities, presentations and meeting some more friends, we went to see the town hall. It was a very precious place, it was carved. When we finished, we had free time, and we went to see the city again. I don’t remember the order very well, but the most important activities were: visiting the natural park of Osijek, see some historical places, do some graffiti and with the Spanish team we went to a dinner in El Paso. We went to PortNova to do some shopping and bowling and we visited a lot of shops, from clothes shops to restaurants. My Mobility Story in Croatia Made by student- Gerard Alagarda Poveda Ies Jaume I, Spain Hi, I'm Gerard from Spain and I’m going to talk about my experience about travelling to croatia. The day that I arrived all was confusing and frightening, everything was new, the people, the culture… And I didn't understand a word of what they were talking about. My host was very nice and helpful all of the time, that helped me to adapt better. He introduced me to his family, they were very kind to me. On monday we met people from the highschool and studients of every country, we did activities and each group of every country did a graffiti that said “I’m the future” in the respective language of each county. On saturday we did a few activties in the highschool and a trip to the natural park Kopački Rit. The guide explained the animals aplants of the park. The next day we did activities and a tour around Osijek, we went into the mall center Portanova. That day my host took me to drive karts, it was very funny and I had a very great time.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture On thursday we did the tour and we hanged out with croatian studients for bowling On Friday we said goodbye time going around the city with scooters and we had dinner in a restaurant called “El paso”. And the last day we did a tour around Budapest, we slept in the airport, and flew on Sunday. The overall experience was incredible, I learnt a lot about Croatia and Osijek, I improved my spoken English and I am no longer so shy when I talk to new poeple.

My Mobility Story in Romania Made by student- Rosa Gómez Crespo Ies Jaume I, Spain My mobility went to Romania, it was quite good, the first day we went to a school, where we did several Christmas activities, the second day we went to an academy where first we did Christmas crafts and then we danced typical Romanian dances, the third day we went to a institute where we did more activities, the fourth day we went on an excursion and did not go to class, and the fifth day was the delivery of the diplomas. In the mobility to Romania we visited several churches and castles, the best were the castles, since we visited the castle where the kings went on their vacations and the castle of Count Dracula, and on the last day we all spent the day in Bucharest and visited various sites important parts of the city, such as parliament.

My Mobility in Romania Made by teacher- Rosa Isabel Benages Garcia Ies Jaume I, Spain During the days we were in Romania we visited different places. The first trip we made was to the Golesti museum. The Golesti Museum is lodged in the house of Golescu family, whose members were distinguished personalities of the Romanian history. It has developed over the years with new basic exhibitions that reflect the history of Golescu family who played an important role in culture and education of the Argeş region. There is also a representation of the different architectural styles of traditional Romanian houses. One afternoon we visited the Orthodox Church of Costesti. The priest explained to us that the construction of the church was carried out after the fatal accident in which some 65 people, adults and children, were burned to death in the other church in the town. On Thursday 16 we spent the whole day visiting two castles. It is actually the two most famous castles in Romania. Pelles Castle is a palace that is located in the town of Sinaia and was built as a residence for the kings of Romania. The interior is impressive and all the rooms that we were able to visit are kept in perfect condition. -The other castle we visited was Bran Castle, better known as Dracula's castle, although it actually isn't. It is believed that Vlad Tepes Dracula, commonly known as “Vlad the Impaler” was a prisoner here. Spanish students and teachers spent our last day in Bucharest. There we take a tour with a guide through the old part of the city. He explained the origins of the city and its development throughout history to this day.

My Erasmus Mobility in Romania Made by student- Xavi Ventura Puchol Ies Jaume I, Spain The 12th of December 2021 was my arrival day in Romania, I travelled from Bucharest to a small village called Căldăraru, I arrived there at around 7 pm. This is where I met my partner with whom I would be staying for the entire week. Next, he introduced me to his mother, little brother, and father. On the next day, we visited the Căldăraru school, where we first met other country students who came here as well. They were from Croatia, Turkey and Romania. Then we went to one of the classrooms and the students prepared us some type of introduction to the culture of the country. Christmas was just around the corner, we learned about some holiday customs. At 2 pm we went back to our house and had lunch, they gave me to eat sarmale which is a popular Romanian dish, it was my first time eating it but I liked it, it was rice and meat covered in cabbage. After having lunch we went to the bedroom and played some video games. On Tuesday, we went to the Costesti Children’s Club, where we shared some of our traditions like “Falles”. We also did a Christmas workshop where we did a Christmas Card. Then for lunch, we went to a small building where we ate chicken with rice and cabbage, as I’ve seen they really like cabbage.

On Wednesday we went to the Technological High School in Costesti, they gave us a tour of the school and then they separated us into 2 groups, the first group did a Christmas decoration and the other group where I was in, we did a class of Romanian literature, in my opinion, it was a

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture little boring because I couldn’t understand anything because the teacher was explaining in Romanian, but from what I’ve seen they use interactive ways to learn the assignment. On Thursday, which was my favourite day, we went to the Castel Peles in Sinaia, it was a castle between the mountains where the kings were living during their reign. On the inside, it was beautifully decorated with thrones and big rooms. Then we went to The Bran Castle, which is more known as where Dracula lived. I was very excited to go there, I really liked the Dracula idea. It wasn’t so big but I really enjoyed it. At night we went back to our houses, it was a 2-hour trip and I was very exhausted so I went to bed as soon as I could. On Friday, we went back to The Technological High School in Costesti, where we did a dictionary of words in our language, it had more than 150 words. Then it was time to get our Erasmus diploma after all this week. To be honest I was quite sad because we were leaving Romania but in the end, I wanted to see my family again so I wasn’t that sad at all. On Saturday we said goodbye to our families and went to Bucarest to visit it. We took a free guide to tour us around the city. He was a nice guy, he made the tour quite entertaining and it wasn’t that long. After the tour, we visited the city by ourselves and at night we went to the Airport and waited for our plane. The night there almost passed by as I tried to sleep. Then we returned to Valencia and saw again our families. It was a really good experience and I would recommend it to everyone.

My Erasmus Mobility in Turkey Made by student- Carla Espinosa Vera Ies Jaume I, Spain The trip to Turkey has been a very special and fun experience for me, because I have been able to meet fantastic people who have made my fantastic experience special during my stay in Turkey. In Turkey, I have made and eaten foods with different flavor, for example the bomb ( It is a sponge cake with melted chocolate inside. This is an example but there were more types, my favorite bomb is the peanut butter. THEY ARE VERY DELICIOUS The Spanish and Turkish coffee are very different, but I think the Turkish is the best. One typical dish in Turkey is the kebab, Sude and other friends when we stayed 25

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture

in Turkey we went and it is very delicious, it is very different than Spain One curiosity of Turkey is, In Spain, If you find a coin you keep it, in Turkey it is the opposite. If it is not yours you can t take it even if it is on the ground. Another curiosity is that in the morning they ate a lot and then they did not eat until 7 at night. There they didn’t celebrate Christmas or Halloween but they also had other parties. Izmir is very big , so if you want to go to the shopping center you would have to go by tram, boat and bus. My favorite day was when all my friends and I went by boat, tram and bus to a shopping mall and this center was outdoors. This is an example of what the mall was like. The people who have welcomed me as if i were their daughter are great and I would love to go back to Turkey again. There they made paintings on top of the water with some more liquid that are super beautiful. My friends and me we did this but we draw a sea with fish. I love the people I have met in Turkey very much and I would like to see them again. In conclusion, I really liked this experience and I would like to do this trip again.

My Erasmus Mobility in Croatia (I) Made by student- Sonia Traver Ies Jaume I, Spain The ERASMUS Program is a lifelong learning program promoted by the European Commission, which encompasses initiatives in the fields of education and training of our students. As a program it seeks to promote job prospects and personal development by providing teaching and learning that provide students with the necessary skills for the labor market and their future. The mobility in the Erasmus project of the IES Jaume I of Burriana was carried out in Osijek, Croatia. Osijek is the fourth largest city in Croatia. It is a very important city in Croatia, being the fourth in extension of the whole country, the city is located next to the Drava river, about 30km. from Hungary. . Learning mobility helps people to increase their professional, social and intercultural skills. Skills and employability, this is the cornerstone of the internationalization and modernization of education and the main tool for the further development of the global economy. Modernization of education is the main tool for the further development of the European Education Area. The visit to Osijek allowed us to get to know another way of interacting with the students, observing the different projects they carry out in that high school. Interacting with teachers and students at the same time, gives us a much more global and direct vision. Using new learning methodologies leads us to ask ourselves questions about the education our students receive. As for the treatment received in Croatia, by the teachers and the students, I can qualify it as very good. At all times we were attended by the teachers involved, we made numerous visits to the city, the old town, visit to the Drava river and its gardens. The families who took care of our students were very considerate with them, and the students were very happy. They really established personal relationships that persist to this day. And above all, interacting with different teachers from different countries and getting to know more depth their approach to some projects and learning techniques, gives us a more each country shows their way of educating according The ERASMUS project means being to their projects that able to develop the knowledge and they carry out, gives skills of our students as a key to us a much more unlock their potential of people universal vision of regardless of their age or background. education.

My Erasmus Mobility in Croatia (II) Made by student- Sonia Traver Ies Jaume I, Spain Osijek is the largest city in Slavonia, on the banks of the Drava River. It is the capital of the Osječko-baranjska Region, a fact that makes it the administrative, industrial and cultural seat. A rich history has left it an abundant artistic-cultural heritage: in addition to the co-cathedral, in the city center are the Capuchin church, the series of secessionist buildings of the Europa Avenue, the Croatian National Theater...

S.S Peter and Paul

Church of the Raising of the Holy Cross

What places in Osijek do you recommend visiting? The European Avenue street, the Croatian National Theater, the Museum of Slavonia, the main square (Trg Ante Starčevića), Tvrđa (the baroque citadel from the 18th century), the Co-cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the promenade by the Drava river and the suspension bridge over the Drava river are the most important sights in the 29

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture city. You should also go to the municipal park of King Petar Krešimir IV and the park of King Tomislav. Both are nationally protected landmarks. And you definitely have to go to the Kopački Rit Nature Park, which is just a few minutes away from Osijek. It is also very interesting to walk through the gardens of the city and a walk along the Drava. The city is alive all year round, although in summer it is full of manifestations and events for the public of all ages: Osijek Summer Nights, Osijek Youth Summer, Cultural Summer... The food is great! We all prefer our typical food, such as sarma, kulen, fis, cobanac, and many more. You can find these dishes in any restaurant (some of them are Javor, Kod Ruže, Makedonka, Zeleni val, Waldinger, Slavonska kuća....). Is the nightlife in Osijek okay, where do you advise going? The fact that most restaurants, pubs and nightclubs are in Tvrđa, the old town, makes them have a special flair.

My Trip Erasmus in Osijek Made by teacher, Isabel Corell Juan IES Jaume I, Spain I spent a week in the city of Osijek, in Croatia to complete the Erasmus Plus mobility with three other colleagues and six students. We attended the workshops in the Graditeljsko Geodetska Skola. During the first day, we knew about the Croatian Education System. As the school is a VET one, we’re focused in the professional education, which in Spain is completely different. The building was a wonderful architectural surprise, because of its circular shape! I appreciated the fact that Croatian students finish their compulsory education at 14 years old and not at sixteen, like they do in Spain. I think it gives them more maturity, as they must make an important decision earlier. However, this decision doesn’t impeach to attend the university because they can be prepared for the Maturity exam (which allows entering to the university) while they are studying their professional itinerary. The ambiance of the school was closer to the university than to a secondary school.

30

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture We started the workshops with some ice-breaking activities with the Theatre teacher. It’s really important to get this genre of formation because their students are going to face the real work world mostly from the beginning of their studies. The way they communicate or they stand in a job interview is very decisive. I enormously enjoyed these role-playing games even if I don’t usually appreciate them. The visit to the school provided us the opportunity to see the building with its peculiarities. I found it very nice that the teachers had their own office, and they could choose their workmate and decorate it freely! Our colleague Mia made a wonderful job with her office. Every day we had workshops. I found them interesting. They explained the Pygmalion effect to us. It’s about the fact that we get better results from the students if we trust in them. We saw the results in a very easy way: two groups of students should build a wall; one of them received a few instructions, and the teacher told them that they didn’t need anything more because they were totally capable to finish it. The other group received many instructions because the teacher told them it was too difficult for them. In the end, the first group ended a perfect wall while the second couldn’t finish it. I enjoyed the workshop about photography composition. I love graphic design and nowadays it's really important to present the information with a minimum of good taste. The rules of composition and the importance of centering the focus are sometimes forgotten by our students (and colleagues). Unfortunately, we all have eyes but not everybody has the right way to see. It was very practical: we all take a picture with some objects and then the teacher explained to us the ABC of the composition. Then, he asked us to capture pictures with this information to discuss them on our concluding day. It was an excellent way to improve our technique and, at the same time, to pursue original models in Osijek. Another workshop that impressed me a lot was the one about reflection because we learned that maybe what we don’t like from our students is something that we also do, so we aren’t angry with them, but with ourselves. Or in a completely different way, we require our students to be the way we want them to be and not the way they are. It made me think a lot about that. However, the thing that I always enjoy the most in mobilities is sharing memorable moments with competent teachers from other countries during the coffee breaks or the free time. We compare our situations, and we realize that we all have the same problems and we want the same solutions. Teachers who participate in ERASMUS+ projects are always very motivated, innovative, and open-minded!

Cultural report Croația Made by teacher, Ghitulescu Daniela Technological High School Costesti Secondary School Teacher Dr. Ion Stoia, Romania The Erasmus project Motivating the learning engine to increase student's school, professional and social success and reduce absenteeism, with reference number 2019-1-RO01-KA229063851_1 which was approved in 2019 for a period of two years will end in 2022 because the situation of current pandemics made things more difficult. The four participating countries are Turkey, Romania, Spain and Croatia. The coordinator school of this project is the Romanian school, and its partners are schools from Turkey-Izmir, SpainBurriana and Croatia-Osijek. The idea behind the project is that Europe needs strong, educated, involved, active young people in the labor market who really know their role in society and the benefits of democratic principles. Students are the key points on which the European Community is built. The need that led to the start of this project is the low percentage of motivation to learn among the students in our school, and not only.

32

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture The objectives of the project are divided into two categories: for students and for teachers, and their fulfillment has been staggered and staged in the mobilities carried out in each participating country. During the Croatian mobility which took place between September 20-25, 2021, at the partner school in Osijek, the main topic was Learning Teaching Methods with an emphasis on increasing self-esteem in students during classes, counseling and extracurricular activities for school success using Market Guerilla Pygmalion (MPG). In addition to the practical and theoretical activities carried out in the school, we carried out outdoor activities that allowed us to get to know the locality and its people better. The first visit was to the town hall of Osijek where the mayor greeted us and welcomed us, briefly presenting the history of the place and its main achievements. Kopacki rit represented a very interesting and pleasant walk. It is a nature park in eastern Croatia, located in the northwest of the confluence of the Drava and the Danube, situated at the border with Serbia. It includes many backwaters and ponds along the Danube. It is one of the most important, largest and most attractive preserved intact wetlands in Europe. It is situated in the proximity of the big town of Osijek and its surroundings, and the excellent communications (by road, railway, plane and ship) provide ready access to visitors. The beauty of "intact" nature, the multitude of waters, flora and fauna attract not only excursionists and visitors but also many experts and scientists from the whole of Europe. Angling and hunting are allowed in certain parts of Kopački Rit that are put under less strict protection such as Vemeljski Dunavac, Danube river, Podunavlje channels. The international bicycle routes "Pannonian Peace Route" and "Danube Route" lead through Kopački Rit, which has become the first center for cycle-tourists in Croatia. Bikes are also available for rent through the visitors center. The upper town (Gornji Grad), on the south bank of the Drava, contains most of the city's main streets and landmarks. The grand Europska 33

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture avens, the Croatian National Theater and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul are just a short walk from each other. Cafes and restaurants abound, and they attract us with their specific dishes. One of the key features of the city of Osijek does not cost anything to see or enter. Drava is worth a walk on the waterfront in fine weather, guarded by restaurants such as the El Paso Pizzeria which operates moored boats. Nearby, the pedestrian bridge, a surprisingly rare crossing point, offers a bit of grace to the panorama. Trg Ante Starčevića, known to the locals as simply Trg, the Square, is Osijek's central showcase. Named after Ante Starčevića, the 19th-century politician whose monument is located here, the square is actually a triangle, with the city's most notable church dominating a corner. Rising above the public fountain, a main meeting place, the neo-Gothic Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, is visible throughout the city and a landmark for visitors. The experience of mobility in the city of Osijek in Croatia was a productive one, managing to achieve our goals, but we also enriched our culture with new, beautiful, interesting things that we discovered here.

In our cultural part of mobility, we have done things as follows in this report: Day 1: 22 November 2021 First when we arrived, all the participants have met in the festivity hall at the host school. Then we went to hadmasters of the host school Firdevs, who held a dicourse to the participants from partner schools. Each of us presented and made public our first impressions of the school and everything. We aere all invited then to make a school tour and the host partners presented the school through workshops during the program. Everybody was ready and they were waiting for us.

After we completed first impressions and met with participants in this project, we finished everything we had planed in school, and then went to see the city of Izmir. All the groups went to outdoor activities at Archaeology Museum that was very interesting to see, and we could see that Turkey has a great historical value. After the museum, we walked through the beautiful old part of city of Izmir and visited the Kemeraltı Bazaar. We went for some shoping and have been introduced to Bazaar meaning, and how important this part of the town was in the early days, and even today.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture It was so interesting to see all the things Bazaar was giving to the people. After that we have gathered beside the beautiful and very old Clock Tower. There we talked about our experiences at bazar and museum and after that, we went to see the city hall. There we had a welcome speech and were greeted by the most important people of city hall. I was very glad to see such a warm and nice and very well organized welcome from this mobility. First day was really already a great day in both scientific and cultural way. Day 2: 23 November 2021 This was the day that we went to see a place called Çeşme-Alaçatı. It was a very interesting trip. All participating teachers traveled to the Traditional Turkish night, where they participated in an Outdoor activities. Sıra Gecesi at school garden (A traditional night with folk songs and çiğ köfte). At this traditional night we were listening to some beautiful traditional instrument and music and the music was so relaxing and interesting as we have nothing like this in croatia. We have similiar traditional music but it is different than this one. We tried traditional tea and on the floor table the dinner was being prepared. It was something new and very delicious. I like to try new things and this was really something. I was very thankfull to experience all these stuff that night and it was a great atmosphere and cohesion betwen all of us participants in this project. Day 3: 24 November 2021 After we completed all our activities in school, this was a very interesting day because we were told that we are going to visit the Inciraltı Ship Museum Balçova Teraphy Forest. It was so special and i am usually into those kind of things and i like history. This was the day that i learnt something new about your history. I can say that you have a great and rich history about which you can all be so proud. I was delighted by the guidance and all the explanations we have been given about everything we visited every day. We even got the advice how to prepare traditional turkish coffe at our home in our country, and in croatia, turkish coffee is soo popular. Day 5: 26 November 2021 Last day of our stay, after all the program was done, we had an opportunity to visit some great shops and buy some souveniers, and try delicious delicateses from Turkey. We could buy them and bring to our friends and family. After we have done shoping, we went all together for a farewell dring and talked some more, and got planned our dinner that we had together with our hosts from school. Conclusion: It was a very special evening where we could hang out and talk and we were trying such a great meals and drinks on our dinner. I like Turkish kitchen soo much. I could get used to it. It was an entertaining night full of laugh. At the end of the evening we all said goodbye to one another and we all went different paths. But in our minds and in our hearts we were still together. I am so thankfull to be a part of this mobility. Thank you for everything once again! Sincerely, Tomislav Tot

Cultural Report – Borriana, Spain Made by teacher, Damir Rajle Graditeljsko-Geodetska Škola Osijek, Croatia During our ERASMUS + project we have in Erasmus mobility at IES JAUME I (Burriana) school. Beside a professional education and workshops we have expirinced cultural and gastronomic richness of Burriana and Valencia. While we were there The Nation day and Burriana Falles festival took the place from 10th to 13th October 2021. The Falles festival usually happens in spring time but it is postponed regarding to COVID 19 pandemia. It was interesting to see festival events throughout these four days. It all starts with procession where Falla girls are gathered in one group which take a walk throgh the Borriana streets. In the last night of festivities, the Falla girls suposed to burn monumental statues especialy built and made for this occasion. It is all followed by musical groups, firecrackers and fireworks. Very, very loud and marry. I have to mention that some of the statues were made by student of IES JAUME I (Burriana) who started to produce brand new figures for next year festival. I have also learned that the Falles festival is under UNESCO patronate as a monument of nonmaterial herritage. In Burriana we were were introduced with the history of the town. As I learned it was founded by Morrocan Arabs or Moors conquerors, which had influenced architecture still visible in old buildings and window shapes. Centuries later Borriana architecture was shaped by agricultural industry, primary orange plantages, which is still visible on the building fronts in ceramic ornaments (leafs and fruit of oranges). We have also seen the city beach on Mediterranean (Balearic) sea. There we had an oportunity to try some sport activities like SUP peddaling, vawe surfing and kayaking. Regarding the warm weather it brought a lot of team work at sea as much as fun. We tried local food as well. Mostly it is consist of sea food such as octopussies, schrimps, squids and fish which is not surprise due to costal and geographical position of Borriana. We were accepted to City Hall where mayor of Burrian wellcomed us.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture We had an excursion to Valencia, the center on which Burriana relys on. Regarding my proffesional vocation I was impressed by architecture and mixture of architectual epochs. From Romans remains, through, medivial era, baroque, art Noveau to total architecture of City of Art and Science. It is all blended into one city and lines are dodged by green areas and parks. We visited churches built in medivial time., I have seen the building of corrida and city library. I was specialy intrested in the art noveau since my hometown has the most valuable buildings from that period. So I seen Central market, reilway station, buildings in the center sheated with ceramics (oranges of course). City of Art and Science is the world on it's own. Hidden in the park on one side, it contionues to modern (new) Valencia. My personal opinion is it could be called a world wonder of architecture. Any of buildings it is consist of is a sort of masterpiece of designe and engeneering, aestheticly as well as technicaly. Ther are new building of Opera, Museum of modern art, Museum of Science and Oceanographic museum. The river Turia used to flow through the city of Valencia yet, according to recent history, in 1957. it had flood so the river Turia had been deverted in the other direction. So nowdays there are parks and green ares in the old riverbed with bridges and basins and ponds that reminds citizens on the old times. Yes, bridges still crosses water, just not river! To my surprise comes a flocks of parrots that fly all over the Valentian sky. They are not native but brought and adopted to climate conditions and dwelling well in parks. Yet they become kind of paste, cause they have a bad habitt to eat sandstone of old medivial buildings as part of their diet suplement. We also visited Museum of Baroque, University of Valencia. As I have learned there are plenty of museum in Valencia which suits to third large city in Spain. In passby we have seen Mestalla stadion where famous Valencia football club plays it's matches in the even more famous Spanish La Liga. Valencia has one more football club in La Liga and it is Levante, not as successful as Valencia but loved as much. Also I have seen a bit different kind of arena and it is famouse Corrida or bull fighting arena which was inevitable. When someone says Spain, image of bull and torreadore is first to come to my mind. It is a sort of simbol of Spain and most of souveniers still depicting the charging bull. Yet according to animal welthcare laws since 2012. corrida is about to vanish for good.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture We successfully designed Traveler in 5 European schools magazine and then we made photographic materials for the magazine Europe in the 21st Century Seen Through the Erasmus + Program. We worked in Canva in order to process digital materials about trades seen during mobility. We continued the work in mixed groups on the Polyglot Dictionary using IT. Finally, It was a great pleasure for me to be included in such kind of mobility that I had a great experience to learn new languages, cultures and materials while learning. I like this country and people

Osijek 2021 –the place and time for discovering a different Croatia Made by teacher, Telescu Violeta Technological High School Costești Secondary School Prof. Dr. Ion Stoia Căldăraru Between 20 and 25 September 2021 I participated in the mobility within the Erasmus + project Motivating the learning engine to increase student's school, professional and social success and reduce absenteeism (reference no. 2019-1-RO01-KA229-063851_1), which took place in the Croatian city of Osijek. After almost 800 km and the crossing of 2 borders during a global pandemic, the end of which we have yet to see, we arrived in the canton of Osijek-Baranja. The canton is home to the fourth largest city in Croatia, located in its northeastern part and called Osijek. With a population of around 100,000 inhabitants andfairlyold houses and monuments, the city showed me a completely different facet of Croatia. If more than 10 years ago the Dalmatian coast took our breath away with its landscapes, Dubrovnik impressed us with the history of its every stone and Rijeka and Split showed us the hectic life of cities full of tourists, Osijek impressed me with its tranquility, the calm of its inhabitants and its traffic that I would like to experience for at least one week in the cities of Romania. When you are a tourist in a foreign country, you are eager to see everything in one day if possible. When the period of your stay coincides with that of several thousand other tourists, you seem to be in close competition with everyone else so as not to miss any 47

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture historical monument, panoramic view or anything specific to the place visited. However,as a participant in an Erasmus + project you are completely anchored in the life of the city, you do not feel the need to rush to visit everything in one goand you have the time to experience and understand the culture of the place. Graditeljsko-geodetskaškola is the host school where our activities were held for the week we were in Croatia. There we made friends, tasted a delicious cake with poppy seeds, but also its version with walnuts, listened to Croatian songs and even sang bećarac - a vocal and instrumental song which is unique in its humor, metaphors and allegories, we learned to dance a Croatian dance and we enjoyed learning a lot about the area where the city of Osijek is located. After we were given a tour of the school that impressed us with its architecture, we also went on a tour of the city located on Drava.A former Habsburg military base, Osijek has an old part, where the former Tvrda fortress is now home to several restaurants and bars from which you can see historic buildings. In fact, you can find cafes and restaurants everywhere, close to Europska Avenue or St. Peter and Paul Church. We were pleasantly surprised by the Pedestrian Bridge, a crossing point over the Drava that makes the panorama of the place even more attractive. A little red Fiat on a tank that we found at a street cornerput a smile on our faces, but was in fact a tribute to an emblematic act of defiance in the Croatian War of Independence. As tourists, we wondered why we should visit Osijek because we found surprisingly many places for accommodation. One of the reasons became apparent one afternoon when we were told we were going to visit the Kopački rit. I had done some previous reading about this paradise for bird 48

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture loversand also saw photos of this nature reserve which is said to be bestvisited in autumn due to it being part of many migratorypaths. It was autumn, the wind was blowing and we weren`t particularly excited about going to the aforementioned place mainly because the pictures didn`t do it justice. After the usual photos at the entrance of the nature reserve and the explanations of the guide, we boarded a boat. From that moment on, everything changed and our mood matched the places we saw. It is quite difficult to describe in words the silence pierced by the cries of the birds that were everywhere and that offered an amazing show through their majestic flight. I am not what is called a birdwatcher, but I must admit that only there did I understand the passion of those who watch for minutes on end the dance and the habits of these winged wonders. Osijek is not necessarily a tourist place, but it is the place that I will always remember due to its refined architecture, the hospitability of its inhabitants who, for the most part, speak impeccable English, and their honoring of nature and promoting of their history.

Cultural Report – Izmir, Turkey Made by teacher, Stanislava Radosavljević Graditeljsko-Geodetska Škola Osijek, Croatia I have participated in student exchange in Izmir, Turkey, from 11th till 26th November 2021. When the school day ended, we went for a walk and I tried some Turkish cuisine meals and specialty, like baklava. 3rd day, 24th Nov In school, we attended different workshops and lessons. Today was special for me because our Turkish peers took us, all students from different countries, to go sightseeing and we saw some authentic places and we also took a ride on a boat and it was really nice because I could see the city from a whole different perspective. 4th day, 25th Nov After our usual school day field with workshops and lectures, today we have been at Historical Places EPHESUS and ŞİRİNCE. There we saw and learned about an ancient amphitheater and the remains of the old city. 5th day, 26th Nov Today has been our last day at Izmir and it was emotional. Even though this was just a few days trip, we all participants got along so well and made new friendships. In school, we watched a film whit our group photos from this project, and we also saw traditional Turkish dance. We got a certificate of participation for this project. After that, we went to an amusement park and had so much fun. We packed our suitcases and late in the night, we got on our flight to Croatia. This student exchange gave me so much experience and good memories. The city of Izmir left me speechless, the people I met there are my new friends now, all workshops and lessons exceed my expectation. If I would have a chance I would repeat it all.

With Erasmus through Burriana-Spain Made by student Tatu Daniel George Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania Burriana is a town in eastern Spain, in the province of Castellon, part of the Autonomous Community of Vallecia. The city is located near the Mediterranean Sea, in the lowest region of the Plana Baixa, surrounded by fields of oranges, fed by the river Millairs. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit part of the province of Castellon and exchange experiences with the Hansa family from the town of Burriana. The city is 50

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture elegant, with no tall buildings with two to four levels. They are stylish buildings with personality. The city seen from above, from the roof is a story. In the old town, the story of "El Salvador", dating from the 13th century, impresses. We also visited the port, where elegant yachts are moored. The Mediterranean Sea is a beautiful blue that makes you dream. The Nautie Burriana Club operates in the port. The club organizes various activities of connotation, fishing or sailing and diving courses. I had the opportunity to take a kayak class, it was great. I also visited the Prince Philippe Science Museum. I was impressed by the creativity of the Spanish students, they participated in the making of wooden figurines and recyclable materials, during the workshop. The host family was extremely kind and hospitable. Martin, my new friend introduced me to the beach in Burriana and various important locations. I also went shopping with my family. Every night we met with friends in the city, this experience is new to me, because I come from a rural area During this mobility I tried different traditional Spanish dishes, my favorite is Tortillia. Martin and his family are wonderful, they gave me souvenirs. I'm waiting for him in Romania too, I promised to show him a lot… The moments spent in Spain were unforgettable, I would not have imagined that at such a young age I could have traveled by plane, nor that I would ever make friends abroad. I adapted to their living environment, I learned new, interesting things. Thanks to Erasmus + for this experience!

A dream experience with Erasmus + Made by student Constantin Cosmin Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania My name is Constantin Cosmin and I am a student at the Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia-Căldăraru, in the 7th grade. I had the opportunity to participate in the project- Motivating the learning engine to increase student's school, professional and social success and reduce absenteeism, with reference number 2019-1RO01-KA229-063851_1, to travel and learn for a week at our partners' school in Spain. Before we left, we were trained in English, morally, culturally, and supported in preparing our departure documents. I talked to my colleague Spaniel, where I was supposed to be accommodated, I had great emotions, but also impatience.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture From Bucharest we flew to Spain, from the airport in the province of Castellon we went to school. There we waited for our hosts. The next day we came to school, we met the teachers, immediately after the school was introduced to us. After finishing school, I went to a football game with my host family. During this period I visited the port of Burriana, where I also practiced kayaking, the city of Vallencia and the workshop where the figurines for the festival are brought to life, a real entrepreneurship. I have learned to socialize better, to speak English, to have more confidence in myself and I sincerely hope that you will visit Spain again as soon as possible. In the practice workshop of our partners.

A wonderful experience Made by student Nicolae Raluca Elena Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania This experience was my first exit from Romania and the beginning to understand that now is the time to start a new path. On the first day, I was tired, I was a little worried that I would not fit in with my new family, but the next day I went to school, where I met the other partners of the project and everything was simple and interesting. The next day I noticed how the classes are held in the partner school, then I visited the workshop where the students practice give life to the figurines for the festival in Vallencia, they drew that figurine on paper, then it had to give life, 3D, a whole math. I visited the port of Burriana, where I participated in a kayak lesson, I made a dictionary in the languages of the partnership, consisting of words in English, Romanian, Spanish, Turkish and Croatian. Croatian and Turkish partners worked online with us on Google Drive. We were present at teaching classes in Spain, we visited Vallencia, there we saw Lotja de la Seda and Torus de Serranos.

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture This was the shopping center in La Lotja, where traders enter into contracts. Torrus de Serranos is one of the 12 gates that were part of the ancient city wall, the Christian wall. We visited the town hall of Burriana, where all the employees were waiting for us, the Mayor gave a speech and congratulated us on the partnership. We received souvenirs from them and we gave them leaflets, keychains, Rom chocolates. We made a wish tree, with boats made by us, it was wonderful! On the last day I made a pyramid of recyclable materials, because the festival in Vallecia was canceled. After that we were present at the burning of a project made by children. I liked this experience the most when I was working with my Spanish colleagues at the team logic math competition, where our team won. It was a new experience. I look forward to visiting Spain again as soon as possible.

The Spanish Experience Made by student Fulger Dorin Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania The experience in Spain was a fantastic one, to be honest the transition was a sudden one, being that I had slept on the plane, as soon as I realized everyone spoke English and Spanish. After a while I got used to it, I was amazed, absolutely even by the living architecture, which invites you to the show. The hosts were welcoming, Teo a 16 year old boy, Serene and Monica, mother of the two brothers. The next day, the family hosted a new member, a girl named Julia. The first activity in school was to get to know each other, their hobbies, favorite animals, sports and lots of other things. Two other activities were: to see the creations brought to life, from recyclable materials, for the festival in Vallencia, a magnificent city, full of gigantic buildings. We climbed into a so-called castle, a tall tower, from where we admitted the view. 53

Travel in Europe-history, geography and culture From a gastronomic point of view, the Spaniards eat very healthy, I tried Paeillia from Valencia and I didn't regret it, I found all the dishes interesting. From a social point of view, Spaniards, especially children, meet very often, play together, discuss, do homework. But leaving Spain was sad because I made beautiful friends and memories ... but also happy because I was going to see my family again. If I had another Erasmus opportunity, I wouldn't stop to think, I would participate without thinking. Now I keep in touch with my new friends from Spain and I am waiting for them in Romania. Thanks Erasmus +!

A New Beginning Through The Erasmus + Program Made by student Nedelea Alexandru Victor Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania I begin by saying that this experience was unique to me. Detachment from family, living new things with new people. Flying away from the ground was indescribable in words. Arriving in Burriana, I met wonderful people who spoke another language. I thought I wouldn't be able to get along with them, but it was just hard at first, I adjusted. I went to school in Burriana with the host boy. During the week we were present at the classes, and the classrooms were equipped with various technologies. I participated in the Spanish students 'classes, together with the translation. I was impressed by the applied mathematics through different logic games, I managed to understand the logic of Pythagoras' Theorem. I took kayak lessons, learning step by step, I visited the workshop where the figurines for the festival in Vallencia were prepared, made of recyclable materials, such as polystyrene. In our free time we visited various places, historic buildings, orange fields, beautiful parks and giant statues. Towards the end of this experience I participated in a festival called "Fallas" where a pyramid of material made by students was set on fire, followed by a game of fireworks. I went out in the city every night with my Spanish friends, I tasted Spanish delicacies, on top of that the host family was extremely welcoming, I felt almost at home. All the activities and places done and visited, loaded me with a baggage of knowledge, which in the future will surely be useful to me.

A Wonderful Experience Made by student Diaconescu Octavian Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania

In this experience I did various activities: on the first day I met the host family. The next day I went to school, where I met the other partners of the project. The next day I noticed the workshop where the students give life to the figurines for the festival in Vallencia, they drew that figurine on paper, then it had to give it life, 3D. I visited the port of Burriana, where I participated in a kayak lesson, I made a dictionary consisting of words in English, Romanian and Spanish. We were present at teaching classes in Spain, we visited Vallencia, there we saw Lotja de la Seda and Torus de Serranos. Lotja de la Seda is a Gothic-style civil building. A major tourist attraction in the city, built between 1482 and 1548. It consists of the main hall and the contracting hall (a large, generously decorated space, supported by twisted columns). This was the shopping center in La Lotja, where traders enter into contracts. The side is called the Consulate Pavilion, it was the seat of the "Del Mar" court - the first court of sea traders, formed in Spain. The first two floors were the main function rooms, the upper one hosting a richly decorated ceiling. These rooms still retain the original furniture. Torrus de Serranos is one of the 12 gates that were part of the ancient city wall, the Christian wall. It was built in the Gothic style at the end of the 14th century (between 1392-1398). as well as the royal point to Barcelona, or for most of the settlers there. Alternatively, the gate can be named after an important family who lived on the street of the same name. On the last day I made a pyramid of recyclable materials, because the festival in Vallecia was canceled. After that we were present at the burning of a project made by children. I liked this experience the most when I was in the port of Burriana and took part in a kayaking class. It was a new experience. I want you to visit Spain again.

I came to a host family, a wonderful family that wanted to be good to me at all costs. I thought I would not be able to get along with the Spanish students, it was just hard at first, I tried to call home as often as possible, I wanted to go to the hotel with the teachers, but then I settled in and everything was wonderful. I went to school in Burriana with Nuria, the host girl. During the week we were present at the classes, and the classrooms were equipped with various technologies, and the Spanish colleagues were very respectful. I attended the Spanish students' classes with my classmates and Nuria, I understood some of the words, but it was not difficult we supported each other and the teachers spoke perfect English and gestured at the same time. I was impressed by the applied mathematics through various logic games, I was able to understand the logic of Pythagoras' Theorem and many other applications of mathematical logic. I took kayak lessons, it was wonderful and exciting, I visited the workshop where the figurines for the Vallencia festival were prepared, made of recyclable materials, such as polystyrene. My Experience in the ERASMUS Project, Croatia Made by student Neagu Ana-Maria Secondary School Prof. Dr. Univ. Ion Stoia, Romania My mobility took place on 19.092021, taking place in Croatia. I was a student for a week in an art high school in the city of Osijek, where I participated in various interesting activities. The first day was accommodating, doing quite easy activities, for example playing ball. Whoever caught the ball had to introduce himself, but on top of that also say the presentation of the one before him, I visited the town hall where a speech was given by the mayor. The next day, Tuesday, we joined in groups of two and made compositions based on pictures. On the third day we visited: a natural park, where we took a boat ride and learned different things. about the animals / birds that lived there, the Old and New Center of the city and the bridge located on the river Drava, near the confluence with the Danube. In the penultimate days I made a sketch about the changes that had to be made to the school from our point of view to improve it, I did graffiti based on a quote, and at the end of the day I was put to an art test, consisting of drawing a logo a Super Hero who will later be rebuilt from pebbles and a cement-like paste. On Friday, the last day, I attended a concert performed by two Croatian students. It was a beautiful experience, which made me learn and realize many things, but at the same time to unite new people.
