“Today’s event is a chance for us to show what the TN State Veterans Home has to offer,” Suzanne Hogan said. “We have a lot of vendors here from different Veterans agencies and health care agencies. It’s a great way for us to network with Veterans and local businesses, represent our facility, and get information out to the community.” At the event, visitors could get free health screenings, participate in a Red Cross blood drive, tour the facility, meet with Veterans Resource Officers and more. In addition to live music, there were food trucks and door prizes.

“Our capacity is 108 residents,” Hogan said. “We’re close to being full, but still accepting new referrals. We have several home health agencies here today. We have a wonderful therapy company that does a lot of shortterm rehab to home. Veterans can come here, get better, then go home and work with these home care agencies. We also have a lot of Veterans agencies that can help with benefits and such.”
