Story & Photography by Tony Centonze The summer concert series Friday Night Live at Old Glory Distilling Co. is back and better than ever. The venue brings in live music by the area’s most entertaining bands, food trucks, games for the kids, and some delicious specialty drinks you can’t get anywhere else. “We have As Is playing tonight,” Matt Cunningham said. “They are playing some phenomenal music, and we have a great crowd. It’s great to have the community out to not only enjoy the music but all the fun and games, the food trucks, and obviously our spirits here as well.” As Is consisted of Cindy McElroy and Ivan Colon of The Beagles, accompanied by Sam Haines and Dan Colon. The group played an acoustic set with a lot of classic 60’s and 70’s music, to which the audience really connected.

“We’ve got Big Mike’s Little Doughnuts, Legends Smokehouse, Gray Smoke Barbecue, No Way Jose, and NY City Hot Dogs,” Cunningham said. “The vendors rotate from event to event, for variety. This is something we do every other Friday. We alternate weeks with Downtown Commons.”
