Story & Photography by Tony Centonze Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel recently hosted its first Rhythm & Brews Festival, a craft beer and music event that featured more than fifty beers, a bourbon and cigar tasting tent, food trucks, and live bands throughout the day.

The fun began at 12:30 with Kyle Mercer opening the show. JMay & ZBro took the stage at 2 p.m. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers tribute band The Wildflowers did a 90-minute set, followed by Nashville’s all-star cover band Rock United, and then headliner Little Texas. Oak Grove Gaming is now booking events at its outdoor amphitheater, billed as “a state of the art entertainment facility located on the infield of our Harness Racetrack. From music festivals to national headliners, you’ll be feeling the Vegas Vibes when you attend a concert ...” So far, the amphitheater has welcomed Blue Oyster Cult, and Little Texas as headliner for Rhythm & Brews. They recently announced upcoming events featuring John Michael Montgomery for September 2nd, and Air Supply for September 3rd.
