During this year’s Week of the Eagles, Major General JP McGee, commanding General, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell led a Division Review, which was attended by hundreds at the Division Parade Field. It was an impressive sight to see, as thousands of troops were lined-up in formation. Guests stood for Ruffles and Flourishes, and then a driveby inspection of the troops took place, with MG McGee being joined by two WWII Veterans. After the National Anthem and invocation, MG McGee and CSM Veronica Knapp were on the field for a presentation of awards, including presentations to the 2021 winners in the Best Air Assault Competition. MG McGee’s remarks were followed by a reading of the Soldier’s Creed, a full Pass In Review, and an Aviation Fly-Over. The ceremony concluded with a performance of the Screaming Eagles Song and The Army Song.
