WHAT IS GOLDEN OLDIES?

G

olden Oldies Festivals began 35 years ago and since then have given 150,000 individuals the opportunity to play their favourite sport in wonderful destinations. Golden Oldies Festivals are designed to give those over the age of 35, the opportunity to play against fellow sporting enthusiasts of all abilities, from around the world. Due to high demand, we are delighted to add Football to the Golden Oldies sports stable with our

first festival to be held in Adelaide in October 2016. Supporters and family members are always welcomed into this special fraternity and are encouraged to participate in the social functions and to take part in optional tours and excursions. Golden Oldies Festivals are guaranteed to ensure customer satisfaction by providing opportunities to travel to interesting and attractive destinations to enjoy sporting activities against international teams and players.

s Australia’s wine capital, Adelaide is a friendly city with a mild climate that allows an easy going lifestyle. Like an indulgent chocolate box, Adelaide is full of unexpected delights such as kayaking with the dolphins on the Port River, tasting boutique wines, strolling through the Botanic Gardens, shopping up a storm at the markets, exploring the famous Adelaide Oval or relaxing in one of the cities splendid restaurants. The Golden Oldies World Football Festival will be hosted at the Barratt Reserve grounds in Adelaide which boast seven full size football fields. With transfers to and from the football grounds and plenty of free time, our packages allow you to experience the best of Adelaide’s culture and activities as well as the great game of Football!

his is your chance to be part of a celebration of the great game of football and the fun, friendship and fraternity associated with the world-wide Golden Oldies movement. The inaugural Golden Oldies Football Festival will be held in the beautiful city of Adelaide in Australia. Adelaide, capital of South Australia, is famed for its delectable wine, stunning beaches and fantastic wildlife and scenery. Why not join us and enjoy all that the Golden Oldies movement has to offer enthusiastic footballers. Bring your teammates, your friends and partners for a fun filled week.

GOLDEN OLDIES FOOTBALL FESTIVAL PROGRAMME An outstanding programme has been prepared allowing footballers, their partners and supporters to experience the delights of Adelaide while enjoying games of football over the course of the week at Barratt Reserve. Sunday 9th October • Teams arrive, settle into accommodation. • Team Managers briefing. • Welcome Party – Finger food and local beverages will flow for three hours, giving you the chance to mix and mingle and meet your competition. Monday 10th October • Teams are transferred to Barratt Reserve for the first round of football matches. • Teams will play two games per team per day. • Evening at leisure to enjoy some of Adelaide’s vibrant restaurants and bars. Tuesday 11th October • Teams are transferred to Barratt Reserve for the second day of football matches. • Evening at leisure to enjoy some of Adelaide’s vibrant restaurants and bars. Wednesday 12th October • A free day to enjoy one of our optional tours of Adelaide; or why not explore the city’s numerous shops and cafes at your leisure. A perfect day to take part in our Victor Harbour tour and experience the Woodstock wine estate!

Thursday 13th October • Teams are transferred to Barratt Reserve for the third day of football matches. • Evening at leisure to enjoy some of Adelaide’s vibrant restaurants and bars. Friday 14th October • Teams are transferred to Barratt Reserve for the final day of football matches. • Evening at leisure to enjoy some of Adelaide’s restaurants and bars. Saturday 15th October • Day at leisure; use this time to book one of our optional tours or activities and explore more of what the city and surrounds have to offer. • In the evening, teams will be transferred to our Farewell Function where dinner, drinks and entertainment will be provided. A great way to end a fantastic week of football and farewell our new friends from around the world. Sunday 16th October • Teams check out of accommodation and either return home or continue on to explore more of what the region has to offer.

Package Inclusions • Accommodation for seven nights including tax, service charges and gratuities. • Eight football matches as scheduled including ground fees. • Transfers to and from Barratt Reserve fields and accommodation. • Welcome Party (three hours) including food, beverages, music and entertainment. • Finale Dinner and Awards Evening (four hours) including a seated banquet dinner, open bar, music, entertainment, cabaret and presentation of the Festival awards. • Transfers to and from the Welcome Party, Finale Dinner and hotels.
