The 2013 Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Championship promises to be an outstanding week of fun, friendship and rugby. Simply put - it will be Rugby in Paradise!

lubs from around the world are invited to participate in the tournament which is an exciting celebration of rugby across a number of social and competitive grades in idyllic Hawaii. VSL Rugby has teamed up with the Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Football Club to promote and manage the annual Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Championship. The next Tournament is scheduled for Kapiolani Park, Waikiki between October 8 and 13, 2013. The Hawaii Harlequins Rugby Football Club is the preeminent rugby club in the Hawaiian Islands, based at Kapiolani Park, Waikiki. The Club was founded in 1964 and since the 1970’s the Harlequins have hosted teams from around the world to their international tournament. The Club is looking forward to renewing their Tournament and the opportunity to create the leading club rugby global Tournament in their beautiful location. Harlequins have engaged VSL Rugby, experienced operators of World Vintage Rugby to assist to bring a world class rugby event to one of the most desirable locations on the planet! The tournament will play host to a number of championship

grades so both men’s and women’s teams will be welcome to compete with competition taking place in the following grades: • Trans Pacific Club Championship – Fifteens Fifteen a side for Premier (1st) Club teams. • Trans Pacific Club Championship – Sevens – Seven a side for Premier (1st) Club teams. • Hawaii Grade Rugby Challenge – Fifteen a side for Other Grade Club teams. • Waikiki Lightweight Championship – Fifteen a side for players under 85 kilograms (185lbs). •Kapiolani Women’s Championship – Seven a side women’s. • Vintage Rugby Challenge – Fifteen a side for players over the age of 40. The tournament will be over 6 days with a maximum of 3 playing days. • Fifteen a side games will be played in 20 minute halves with teams playing 2 games per day and a total of 6 games including finals. • Sevens games (including women’s) will be played with 7 minute halves with teams playing up to 3 games a day and a maximum of 9 games including playoffs and finals.
