Calling the population to help

Santana de Parnaíba carried out several actions to help the Santana de Parnaíba families who need it most. In April, the Parnaíba Solidária - Doar Faz Bem campaign was launched, which collected food and hygiene and cleaning products (in addition to donations of masks and alcohol gel to help prevent COVID-19), for the assembly of basic baskets that were donated to families in socially vulnerable situations. Several collection points were set up throughout the city, in addition to a drive-through collection point installed at the city’s Social Solidarity Fund. In July, also using the drive-thru system, Drive Julino was held, with the objective of raising funds for the municipality’s assistance actions. Several typical dishes from June and July parties were available for purchase by those who passed by. The entire amount collected was used to purchase blankets for the 2020 Winter Clothing Campaign. Also aiming to increase contributions to the Warm Clothing Campaign, on Saturdays in July there were the Solidary Lives, always with local and regional artists and of the most diverse styles.
The Winter Clothing Campaign of 2020, which had as sponsors the country duo Maria Cecília and Rodolfo, lasted until the end of September.
Land Regularization and Popular Housing The city has also sought better conditions for its citizens in housing. More than 10,000 Parnaiban families have already received, free of charge, the deed of their properties through Land Regularization, where the contemplated citizens have all the assistance and assistance to finally conquer their property titles. In Popular Housing, 82 houses were already delivered in 2018 and currently 40 apartments are being built, meeting the demand of the population removed from risky areas and are served by the social rental program while waiting for the delivery of their new home. The 47 m² units will have 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry area.

Infant mortality is a matter to be treated as a priority. Santana de Parnaíba has done work that has results, proven by official indexes, such as data from the State System of Data Analysis Foundation (Seade), which indicate that Santana de Parnaíba has the lowest infant mortality rate in the region (7.1 to per thousand live births, 2018 index).
