Welcome to the second day of the BetVictor Jumps Season Finale and the last day of our 2020/21 Jumps Season. We are very grateful to all our sponsors today for their continued support of Newbury Racecourse, including BetVictor, British EBF and Irish Thoroughbred Marketing. We will also acknowledge the leading stars of the season, with The Newbury’s in association with Conundrum Consulting, the winners of which will be posted out across social channels throughout the next week. Whilst we cannot welcome you in person this afternoon, here at Newbury, morale has been much boosted by the government’s recent announcement and we are ready to welcome you all back on June 10 for our first fixture with crowds. For those of you already planning a day out later in the Summer, our 2021 fixtures from 10 June are now on-sale, so please visit newburyracecourse.co.uk for the full range of packages on offer. This afternoon’s card looks competitive and, in particular, the final race of the day which includes the racecourse debut for Douvan’s full brother, Jonbon for the Nicky Henderson team. We are so sorry we cannot welcome any owners to today’s meeting, but we thank you for your ongoing support of Newbury Racecourse throughout this Jumps Season and look forward to seeing you here again in person next season, if not before! Enjoy your afternoon, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Newbury in the near future. Julian Thick Chief Executive

Molineaux continues to run well in defeat and he may have to settle for another placed effort here, with Shut The Box also respected if putting a lacklustre performance behind him 12 days ago. 1-2-3: 1.RUINOUS (IRE) 2.MOLINEAUX (IRE) 3.SHUT THE BOX (IRE) FREE form for all British and Irish meetings is available online every day at timeform.com/free
