WOLFGANG TILMAN RESIDENCE WINTER 2019
This project features a photography foundation plan to build a place to live and work collective in Fremont, Seattle. Each unit are designed around and inspired by a specific photograph: Lampedusa by Wolfgang Tillman, visuallizing a live-work environment, approximately 2000 gross square feet.

CONCEPT Inspired by Wolfgang capturing the chaotic nature of Lampedusa with the act of framing, it gives value to mundane objects. This gallery space includes two window openings that overlooks into the working space. Assigning a value to the normal everyday life by framing it as one of the exhibited artworks, driving the attention of the viewers.

LIGHT BATH PROJECT WINTER 2018
Featuring a curvilinear translucent glass panel intersecting two parallel walls, shapes a pathway that exhibits a luminious quality, serving as an alternative transition between two busy sidewalks that runs perpendicular to the entrance. In the mornings and evenings, the soft back drop of the luminious space echoes to the straight light pathways created by direct light, creating a harmonious symphony. Right-angled triangular openings between the translucent glass panels conducts people to walk unconciously in a circuitious route. the physical motion prompt people to slow down taking a moment of mindfulness.

HENRY ART GALLERY INTERVENTION PROPOSAL WINTER 2019
After studying the scale and urban context of the Henry Art Gallery, Seattle, an intervention is proposed to benefit the gallery: adding an outdoor structure that functions both as an event space and an outdoor exhibition room. On the elevated floor, driven to the end by the form and an extended series stairs, the occupants will focus on the art gallery, which visibly lines up with the George Washington statue. This gives more attention to the gallery as the current geographic position is not eye-catching from both sides of the road. The lower level of this structure serves as a gathering space where outdoor exhibitions and events can be held.
