Our Facility

The Juan de Fuca pool has a variety of features and amenities. Our pool is fully accessible for swimmers of all abilities. Equipment and amenities include:

• Male, female and universal changerooms

• Steam room, sauna and hot tub

• 8 lane 25 metre pool

• Leisure pool including lazy river and tot slide (only for sliders under 48”)

• Big blue waterslide (only for sliders over 48”)

• Aquatic wheelchairs

• Zero depth entry ramp into the leisure pool

• Handicare motorized lifts in universal changeroom, and on the pool deck (provides access to hot tub, main and leisure pool)

• Climbing wall

DROP-IN ACTIVITIES

Lane Swimming

For continuous lane swimmers. Swimming pace is identified through signage in each lane, and includes casual, slow, moderate, and fast. Water Walking is not permitted in continuous lane swimming lanes.

Water Walking

For water walking in the lane pool. Continuous lane swimming is not permitted in water walking lane.

Aquafit

Get fit in the pool! AquaFit classes are great for all fitness levels. Classes take place in the main pool, either in deep water or combo class (both deep and shallow).

Leisure Swim

Leisure time for adults and families with children. Access only to leisure pool and hot tub, no access to main pool. Age restrictions may apply.

Fun Swim

Fun for all ages! Main pool, leisure pool, hot tub, waterslide, rope swing and spray features are available.

Waterslide

You must be 48” tall to ride. Single riders only.

Youth Swim

Admission $2. All pool areas available for youth only swim for those ages 12-18. All pool areas including steam room, sauna and hot tub closed except for youth.

Adult Swim

For adults 18+ only. All pool areas are open

Child Admission Policy

All children under the age of 7 must stay within arm’s reach of an adult (16+) at all times. Maximum 3 children per adult. Children 7-9 years must have an adult in the facility during their visit.

Private Lesson

A weekly lesson set with one of our skilled instructors! Private lessons can include up to three participants with no additional charge. The primary booker is responsible for coordinating participants and paying in full upon registration. Maximum class size: 3 swimmers of similar ability (within a 3 level range)

There are two options to choose from:

1. Main Pool Private Class

• 45 Minutes

• Held in the main pool with a minimum depth of 1.1M.

• Best for swimmers 5 and over, including teens and adults.

2. Leisure Pool Private Class

• 30 Minutes

• Held in the warmer and shallow leisure pool.

• Best for all swimmers 5 and under or first-time swimmers of any age.

• 1:1 In-water participation is required for swimmers 2 and under and first-time swimmers of preschool age.

West Shore Masters Swim Club 18 Years +

Experienced swimmers of all levels are invited to join us and improve their strokes and fitness with a program designed and led by an NCCP certified coach. Swimmers must be able to swim a minimum of 1000m in one hour and 200 m continuously.

The fee schedule is 132/1, $240/2, $324/3, $432/4, $540/5 swims per week. Participants may choose any combination of available practice days and times, and will be a guaranteed spot on those days/time.

In addition to session costs, all new participants must pay a $39 annual registration fee to Swim BC (August-September).
