2015 CLUB PRESIDENT
2015 FESTIVAL CHAIRMAN
KEITH FRANK
BEN KEMPF
On behalf of myself & the entire membership of the West Side Nut Club, I would like to invite everyone to join us for the 94th Annual Fall Festival. Each year the Nut Club strives to provide a safe & fun week for the families of our community, complete with rides, entertainment, great food & much more. This year’s theme is “Volunteering to Build a Better Community.” With that in mind, I would like to thank everyone for supporting the 135+ non-profit food booths. All the volunteers from these organizations play a vital role in the success of the Festival while also providing a great fundraising opportunity for their groups as well. Finally, I would like to thank the community for all the past & future support of the Festival. By doing so, you allow us the privilege of being able to donate our Festival proceeds to many deserving schools, youth groups & charitable organizations. Have a great time & enjoy the Festival!
(Ben, Wife Kelly, Bennet, Bayley, Abbey) On behalf of my family and the 300 plus members of the West Side Nut Club, I would like to invite you all to the 94th Fall Festival. This year’s theme, “Volunteering to Build a Better Community,” is a core belief of the West Side Nut Club and how we view our small part of striving to make our community better. So please come down and support the 130+ local not for profit booths and the hundreds of individuals volunteering their time in making this great community a better place to live. I would like to thank everyone for their past support and also encourage them to join us in this great Evansville tradition, the 94th West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Sincerely -Ben Kempf

In 1921 THE NUT CLUB formally organized and “THE FALL FESTIVAL” began as an annual event on West Franklin Street.
In 1921 A.D. established the West Side’s first funeral home. Today, the fifth generation Alexander Family (Tom, Matthew, Andrew, and Jon, all licensed funeral directors) operates Alexander’s Five Locations. Jeff Alvey and Dennis Nettles manage the cemetery and grounds.
A.D. and Kenneth Alexander, both West Side Nut Club past presidents, watched the festival grow to become the largest in the Midwest. Annual attendance averages 150,000 visitors.

Drilled here. Refined here. Sold here. For 75 years, CountryMark has been producing the industry’s highest performing energy products and services. Our fuels begin with American crude oil, sourced from the oil fields of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. The oil is refined to the highest industry standards at our refinery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. From the refinery, our premium quality fuels are delivered to farms, fleets and families throughout the Midwest. Delivering value, expertise and quality is our passion. That may not be how big oil companies run, but at CountryMark, we and our farmer owners wouldn’t have it any other way.

2015 FALL FESTIVAL ENTERTAINMENT
Tony Henning Monday, October 5 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Main Stage
Tony Henning is a Fort Branch native playing acoustic music ranging from the classics to current hits. He takes pride in his music degree in guitar and playing a vast range of styles. After a long break from performing, he’s back doing what he loves: playing and singing at restaurants, wineries, pubs, private parties, and festivals. “I’m very excited to be a part of this year’s West Side Nut Club Fall Festival!”
Keith Vincent Tuesday, October 6 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Main Stage
A Tri-State perennial favorite, Keith has played and taught music in the area for over thirty years. Keith covers great singer/songwriter tunes from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, as well as using his custom created tracks for dance grooves. Close your eyes, and you will think you are at the beach with Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney. 53
Stage Sound by
SOUND SYSTEM, INC.
Scott Winzinger Wednesday, October 7 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Main Stage
Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Scott Winzinger has been involved with music since his late teens. Thanks to his ability to loop guitar parts, you can expect to hear a full live sound along with a wide range of music at his shows. He has been in several popular Evansville bands.
Mary Kutter Wednesday, October 7 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Stage 2 Kentucky native Mary Kutter returns to the Fall Festival this year with even more wonderful songs. Mary has received the CMA Rising Star Outstanding Showmanship and Best Overall Stage Performance awards, been placed on the coveted NSAI “Ones to Watch” list several times, appeared on stage and numerous state fairs and well-known venues, and just last year was Grand Champion of the Renee Grant-Williams 2014 Holiday Songwriting Contest. Since she began her career, she has always taken time to give back with music. She launched her first annual Love Tour in the beginning of this year to share her music at military bases, halfway houses, nursing homes, benefit concerts, veterans’ homes, schools, and community centers. 54
Skelton’s Montourage Wednesday, October 7 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Stage 2
Skelton’s Montourage. This well known band in the Evansville area always gets the crowd excited because of its unique sound and energy-driven tunes. Skelton’s Montourage evolved out of another well known group named “Soul Factor,” but changed after a few member changes and style changes. Led by musician Monte Skelton, the group performs a variety of different types of music, from the classics like “Groovin’ High” and “Impressions,” to modern tunes such as Mister Magic, and even Frankenstein.
Andy Brasher Thursday, October 8 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Main Stage
Andy Brasher is a songwriter from Kentucky. After learning to play the acoustic guitar, crafting songs was second nature. At 14, Andy started his first band and performed covers at parties, festivals, and bars in Owensboro, Bowling Green, and the surrounding area. He built a large local following and moved to Nashville in 2005. After collaborating and playing up and down Broadway and all around Nashville for a few years, Andy returned to Kentucky and focused on writing and performing country songs in a home studio. In 2007, he recorded and produced an album called “Crows and Buzzards.” The album was received well in Nashville and locally, and the demand for Andy to play his original music now outweighs the requests for his cover material. 55
Retroshock Thursday, October 8 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Stage 2
Formed in 2009, Retroshock has played the area bars and casino circuit. Mike is on guitar and vocals, Becky as keyboards and vocals, Colin on bass and vocals, and Brandon on drums; they play different genres from several different decades. They cover top performers such as Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, ZZ Top, BTO, and Steppenwolf.
Linda Smith Band Thursday, October 9 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm Stage 2
Singer/songwriter and country gal Linda Smith has been captivating audiences with a show that is packed with energy, fun, and nonstop entertainment for all ages to enjoy with a wide variety of songs. The Linda Smith Band has opened for Kris Kristofferson, Alabama, Sawyer Brown, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kentucky Headhunters, Confederate Railroad, Bryan White, The Judds, and more. 56
Chelsea Morning Friday, October 9 11:00 am - 1:30 pm Main Stage
Once upon a time…around, give or take, twenty years ago…three talented troubadours united to become a performing trio. Taking a cue from a Joni Mitchell song – “…And the first thing that I heard / Was a song outside my window / And the traffic wrote the words…” – they dubbed themselves Chelsea Morning. By doing so, Dave Martin (vocals, guitar), Dan Waltz (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Linda Sublett (vocals, percussion) created some musical history in this Hoosier hamlet know as Evansville.
Boscoe France Friday, October 9 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Stage 2
Daniel “Boscoe” France was born in 1976 in Madisonville, Kentucky, where he still resides today with his two children. His uncle Duke Madison taught him to play guitar, and by 14, Boscoe was playing in bars and in bands, developing his professional skill. Boscoe’s love of the raw emotion of Blues music has made it his favorite, and he lists Duane Allman, Freddie King, and Elmore James as the guitarists he most admires. This Blues influence helped Boscoe become the 2012 winner of Guitar Center’s Battle of the Blue competition in Los Angeles. Out of over 4,000 competitors nationwide, Boscoe came out on top. 57
Osiella Friday, October 9 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm Stage 2
Osiella is a local band that have just released their debut album, “Year In Review. The album allows each artist in Osiella to express their character and musical talents and skills. The breadth of musicality and genre-bending within the album will make it and Osiella warm attractions for the upcoming winter season. Osiella is made of Theophilus Akai (guitars), Cynthia Murray (vocals), Dekar Baker (drums), Dene Stephens (percussion), and Brandon Summers (violin).
