SAGRA DELLA GIOVENTU’ Sport,musicandgoodfood.Thesearetheingredients of the 7th edition of Sagra Gioventù, from Tuesday 1h to Sunday 4h September. The event is organized by Comitato Oratorio of S. Giorgio in collaboration with a net of association. The location is the initialpart of the walk of Villa Olmo where different sports associations present fun with the different activities.

Sport, musica e buona cucina. Sono gli ingredienti della 7° edizione della Sagra della Gioventù. Teatro dell’evento è la parte iniziale della passeggiata di Villa Olmo dove le varie associazioni sportive e ricreative presentano le loro discipline e permettono a bambini e ragazzi di cimentarsi con le diverse attività, mentre sul palco si alternano le esibizioni di band musicali e le coreografie di danza. Non poteva mancare la buona cucina sotto i tendoni allestiti nel piazzale. L’Oratorio San Giorgio propone una selezione di piatti tipici del territorio.

La Famiglia Comasca ha aperto una nuova finestra sul web: da qualche settimana, infatti, il sito www.famigliacomasca.net ha subìto un importante restyling che ha cambiato completamente volto a tutto il sito stesso. Realizzato dallo Studio Dorothy Magatz il nuovo portale si avvale di una grafica più moderna e in linea con i tempi, di contenuti sempre più puntuali con gli avvenimenti in itinere, di approfondimenti più tempestivi. Non mancano, naturalmente, le sezioni dedicate agli eventi e alle iniziative della Famiglia Comasca, ma fra le più significative novità contenute nel sito vi è quella riguardante l’opportunità di consultare online la ricchissima Biblioteca dell’associazione cittadina. È infatti disponibile tutto l’elenco aggiornato degli oltre tremila volumi custoditi nella Biblioteca (intitolata a Carla Porta Musa): in pratica si può vedere dal sito di quali libri dispone la benemerita associazione che sono tutti consultabili. Il 29 maggio 2016, giorno della Festa della Lombardia, è stato inaugurato l’Anno del Turismo in Lombardia che si concluderà il 29 maggio 2017. L’Anno del Turismo è un palinsesto di iniziative, eventi e promozioni che coinvolgeranno gli attori del settore del turismo, dai territori agli operatori, dai cittadini ai turisti con un investimento di 60 milioni di euro durante un percorso di 365 giorni. Anche l’ex capitano del Milan Franco Baresi era presente alla cerimonia: “Era una persona molto semplice e sempre sorridente. Giocava a calcio in modo molto spensierato, ma era così anche nella vita, è stato sicuramente un esempio per tutti noi”. Anche i campioni del mondo Gianluca Zambrotta e Claudio Gentile non hanno voluto perdersi questa iniziativa partecipando all’inaugurazione.

Il 17 marzo è stata una giornata molto importante per la città di Como. E’ stata infatti inaugurata una piazzetta dedicata al campione di calcio Stefano Borgonovo, morto il 27 giugno 2013 a causa della SLA. L’iniziativa era stata pensata dal gruppo di tifosi comaschi “Pesi Massimi” che ha subito ottenuto consensi dal Comune di Como. Così, proprio nel giorno in cui Borgonovo avrebbe compiuto 52 anni, davanti allo Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia gli è stato dedicato il Largo Stefano Borgonovo; tantissime persone presenti, tifosi ex compagni, allenatori, giornalisti, curiosi, tutti per rendere omaggio ad un uomo prima che uno sportivo. Già, perché la storia di Stefano anche chi non è appassionato di calcio la conosce: la sua malattia l’ha sempre affrontata senza mai nascondersi e anzi lottando fino alla sua 24

HOLLOW TREE W. WOMEN IN ITALIAN DESIGN

Every year Milan’s Triennale Design Museum holds exhibitions to narrate design through suggestive perspectives. The 9th edition of the event was entitled, W. Women in Italian Design, an insight on Italy’s women as designers. The exhibition offers an opportunity to the public to appreciate the imaginative output coming from Italian women. For instance, it’s virtually impossible not to notice, HOLLOW TREE, an abode for objects and secrets to hang on the wall. Made of solid maple wood with a natural finish, the pocket emptier is an ensemble of vertical elements that trace the outlines of a hollow tree into which to place postcards, envelopes, brochures and magazines. Hollow Tree was designed by Michela Catalano whose obvious talent is easily noticed in the details and competent execution.

Triennale Design Museum, ogni anno, propone esposizioni per raccontare il design attraverso punti di vista suggestivi. Per la nona edizione è stata designata la mostra “W. Women in Italian design” un percorso attraverso il mondo femminile del design italiano. L’esposizione offre l’opportunità di cogliere nell’insieme il frutto della magia creata dal lavoro delle donne. Hollow Tree non può passare inosservato, una dimora di oggetti e segreti da appendere al muro. Realizzato in legno massello di acero con finitura naturale, lo svuotatasche è costituito da un insieme di elementi verticali disposti in sequenza che disegnano ed evocano la sagoma di un albero con la sua cavità idonea ad ospitare cartoline, buste, depliant e riviste. Hollow tree, nasce dalla ricerca, congiunta alla genialità di cui è densa la personalità della progettista: Michela Catalano. Nell’oggetto è racchiusa tutta la competenza della designer che dialoga con il rigore esecutivo e la cura nel dettaglio. 27

The content of the Snack Box changes from region to region and let you taste all the different food and enchance your curiosity for this area. In the Mendrisiotto area there are three retail points. In this case the content is for two persons, it is linked to the local tradition: 2 sodas, 2 small salami, 2 slices of cheese, some bread and a package of biscuits made with ‘polenta’ flour of the Bruzella mill. The choice was made by three retailers who have immediately shown a particular attention to the project: la Dispensa of Caneggio, il Piccolo Borgo of Mendrisio and Ul Mezzanin of Mezzana. Three small but im-

portant companies which represent the expression of the territory in the best way, which can be appreciated by the client of Grand Tour and immediately can become part of the communication program of the project at intenational level. In the snack box, a part from the information material which present the excellences of the national itinerary, Mendrisiotto Turismo wanted to include a mini project which give a welcome and describes regional products and present the excellences of the Region, but also some napkins and screwdrivers on a Region to discover, aims at being made for the clients. GROM: IL GELATO “MADE IN ITALY”

Quindi i prodotti continueranno ad essere prodotti da Mura Mura, l’azienda agricola fondata da Martinetti e Grom. E’ corretto? “Certamente. Impossibile pensare però che tutto il nostro gelato sia realizzato utilizzando i prodotti proveniente da Mura Mura. Viene fatta una quotidiana ricerca sui fornitori e sulle materie prime da utilizzare - spiegano - ”. Il marchio Grom continua nella sua crescita. Quali sono i prossimi impegni? “Hong Kong sarà soltanto una delle prossime tappe del nostro lungo viaggio”.

La primavera ha portato a Como una dolce novità: nel centro cittadino, in via Luini, ha infatti aperto uno dei suoi celeberrimi store la gelateria Grom. E per l’apertura ha ospitato anche i fautori di questa impresa: Federico Grom e Guido Martinetti, due giovani imprenditori che hanno trasformato una semplice idea in un successo. “È dal 2007 che cerchiamo la location perfetta nella vostra città – ci spiega Federico Grom - La ricerca è stata lunga, ma oggi possiamo dire di essere davvero soddisfatti”. La loro storia parla di due amici, un enologo e un ragioniere, e un’intuizione, quella di “fare il gelato come una volta”. Il primo negozio a Torino nel 2003, oggi in più di 30 città italiane, oltre che a Dubai, Giacarta, Hollywood, Malibu, New York, Osaka, Parigi. Federico e Guido ricordano l’apertura a New York, primo store all’estero, con grande entusiasmo, come è facile immaginare. Moltissima gente ha voluto essere presente e comprare il libro scritto in collaborazione con la firma storica della “Gazzetta dello Sport” Alberto Cerruti. Una biografia che racconta tutta la vita del campione azzurro nella quale nulla gli è stato regalato. PC Vintage “Il nuovo social” è un progetto sperimentale voluto per fornire operatività agli ospiti della psichiatria dell’Ospedale Sant’Anna di Como rigenerando PC dismessi per poi donarli a scuole elementari, medie e associazioni. Il progetto si propone di richiamare l’attenzione sulla necessità di realizzare un’attività legata alla rigenerazione dei PC, che possa occupare il tempo dei pazienti della struttura psichiatrica, con l’intento di renderli autonomi nelle operazioni manuali e in alcuni casi coinvolgendoli nelle consegne alle scuole o agli altri soggetti richiedenti. Le finalità di questo progetto sono molteplici: aiutare gli utenti nella gestione del loro tempo e dimostrare che anche chi possiede un disagio può essere utile alla società; recuperare e riciclare il materiale informatico che per lo smaltimento finale viene inviato in Asia e Africa, un lavoro purtroppo svolto spesso da bambini 36

For each collection, One Way carefully selects the right artists. This is the year of artist Francesco Corbetta, photographer. He grew up surrounded by photographic field. After his studies, he dedicated himself to his work as a photographer. He gained vital experience working alongside the great Maurizio Galimberti and Antonio Guccione. In 2000, he met the legendary photographer Franco Fontana, a mentor who took him down an adventurous creative path. Francesco: “By photographic adventure, I mean the courage to break the rules!” Some of Francesco’s photographs are preserved at the Italian Center of Fine Art Photography and the Civic Gallery in Modena. When Francesco Corbetta’s photography meets the silk of our scarves, the results are stunning. The attractive colors and subject matter recall warm memories of yesteryear, combined with the excitement of the here and now.

La torrefazione artigianale Il Griso (nome ispirato dalla vicina via Manzoni, chiaro riferimento ai Promessi Sposi) nasce nel 1991. Negli anni, soprattutto col 2000, in cui cambia la società (Claudia e Antonio da dipendenti rilevano l’attività e nasce la S.n.c.) una lenta ma progressiva crescita di conoscenze sui caffè, crudi selezionati, tostature più curate ed estrazione dei caffè, hanno portato ad avere una vasta scelta di caffè monorigini e miscele preparate appositamente per i clienti esigenti (bar e ristoranti), oltre che la proposta immediata per la clientela abituale. Il Griso è iscritto alla Scae (Speciality Coffee Asso50

In the coffee shops they propose special coffee processing, not just the espresso coffee, but also v60, aeropress, ibrik, syphon, cold brew (which is very much appreciated by foreign people, but also Italians are starting being interested in it). All year they offer very good handicraft products, above all in autumn/winter with ideas for Christmas presents. In the cafeteria events are also held to present new products or coffees, with the presence of artists who illustrate books, paintings or comic strips.

69° FESTIVAL DEL FILM LOCARNO

Il Festival del Film Locarno è la più rilevante manifestazione cinematografica svizzera ed è tra i cinque festival più importanti d’Europa. Il concorso internazionale costituisce la sezione principale del festival e presenta una ventina di lungometraggi in prima mondiale o internazionale. Il film vincitore viene premiato con il Pardo d’Oro. Cineasti del presente è il concorso dedicato a opere prime o seconde di giovani registi provenienti da tutto il mondo. LE RICETTE DI WHAT’S ON RISO CON PESCE PERSICO

Piatto unico Stagionalità: tutto l’anno Difficoltà: ** Tempo di esecuzione: 45’ Ingredienti per 6 persone: 800 g di filetto di pesce persico, farina bianca, 100 g di burro, 10/12 foglie di salvia, 500 g di riso, 1,5 l di brodo vegetale, 1 cipolla, ½ bicchiere di vino bianco, sale Preparazione. Per quanto riguarda il riso, si può cucinare il “solito” risotto: rosolate la cipolla tritata con un pezzetto di burro, aggiungete il riso, rosolate, versate il vino bianco e lasciate evaporare. Ricordatevi che il risotto va rimestato sempre con un cucchiaio di legno, possibilmente quadrato. Poco alla volta aggiungete il brodo, continuando a rimestare. Ricordate però che il vero “Riso” con il pesce persico è bollito e poi fatto“saltare”con burro e salvia. Nel frattempo rosolate qualche foglia di salvia con un altro pezzetto do burro e friggete i filetti infarinati precedentemente. Una volta pronto il riso, disponetelo su un piatto di portata, adagiate sopra il riso i filetti di persico e versate il resto del burro fatto rosolare con le ultime foglie di salvia. Accompagnatelo con un vino bianco secco.

As far as it regards the rice, it is possible to cook the “usual” risotto: brown the onion minced with a piece of butter, add the rice and brown it, pour the wine white and let evaporate. Remember that you always have to mix it with a wooden spoon, if possible squared. Add the broth little by little, keep on mixing. Remember that the real “Riso” with the Perch fish is boiled and then “salted” with butter and sage. In the meantime brown some sage leaves with another piece of butter and fry the fillets previously floured. Once the rice is ready, put it into a plate, lay down the Perch fillets and pour the rest of the butter browned with the last sage leaves. To serve with a dry white wine.
