health Food for Thought: Your Authentic Self I think we have all heard it before: to become your authentic self you must begin knowing yourself. It sounds simple enough, it makes sense.... but what is required to actually get there? How do you recognize your own authentic self? One of the most important steps is to know, and to honor, your personal needs and values. Remember though that "needs" are not the same as"wants"!
Massage Packages
The seven basic human needs are described as: »
A sense of safety and structure A sense of belonging A sense of worth and contributing A sense of independence A sense of closeness A sense of mastery A sense of self awareness
Womyn’s Path of Healing
Try to think of times when you felt and acted irritated, anxious, or stressed. Was there an unfulfilled basic need that caused you to feel and act in that way? This is an important question to ask yourself because actions misaligned with your authentic self are stressful and strained. To be true to yourself and to give yourself a chance to develop your potential, you have to honor your needs and, consequently, your values. Respecting your needs means that you are in alignment with your true self, and if who you are is in alignment with what you do, you will be able to embrace your authentic self and you will be the wonderful person that you are meant to be.

Finding Balance
Winter is sneaking upon us bringing with it the ChristThe mas season. The joy of spending time with family and friends is often overshadowed by the stress of shopping, Barbara Gibson RMP planning for others, and overindulging. Often our bodies Hummingbird Wellness & Bodywork let us know when we are overdoing things and throwing www.hummingbirdwellvness.net ourselves out of balance. Our energy levels drop, we do not enjoy ourselves and we just do not feel right. We need time to restore our balance. You can find your equilibrium. Our bodies are so amazing and fascinating. The reflexology points on the feet and hands correspond to the glands and organs of the body. The acupressure points on the body correspond to the meridians. The meridians are the pathways of Qi (energy force) and blood flow within the body. The tight muscle may have a sympathetic or reciprocal side or one may have one leg shorter than the other. Many techniques, including myomassage, acupressure, reflexology, cranial sacral therapy, and Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) can help the body rebalance itself.

Whats Wh Nissan Embraces New Technology to Prevent Crashes Drivers losing control of the wheel for some reason, whether it’s falling asleep or having a heart attack or passing out or any number of causes, and suddenly they’re in a metal box zooming down the road with nothing to stop it other than its surroundings. The driver is completely at the mercy of fate. Anyone would agree that it would be miraculous if cars were able to control themselves in situations like that. It may sound like an idea from a science fiction story set in the future, but that kind of technology is being built into cars right now. Nissan cars are now being fitted with technology that helps control steering, creating cars that can virtually never cause an accident. Anti-crash technology is becoming the ideal for cars in order to create safer driving experiences.

Toyota Among Top 10 ‘Best Global Brands’ for 2012 Toyota once again ranked the highest of automotive brands and number 10 among all brands on interbrand’s 2012 Best Global Brands list. Topping the 13th annual 100 Best Global Brands report was Coca-Cola, followed by Apple, IBM, Google and Microsoft. In automotive Toyota was followed by Mercedes Benz, BMW and Honda. Automotive brands are becoming more attuned to the emotional connection consumers have with their cars. The ranking is based on examination of financial performance, the influence it has on consumers choice and the strength to command a premium price.

The 70-year-old George went for his annual physical. All of his tests came back with normal results. Dr. Smith said, “George, everything looks great physically. How are you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with yourself, and do you have a good relationship with your God?” George replied, “God and me are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight, so He’s fixed it so that when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, poof! the light goes on when I pee, and then poof! the light goes off when I’m done.”
A little later in the day Dr. Smith called George’s wife. “Thelma,” he said, “George is just fine. Physically he’s great. But I had to call because I’m in awe of his relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night and poof! the light goes on in the bathroom and then poof! the light goes off?”
“Wow,” commented Dr. Smith, “That’s incredible!”
George’s wife exclaimed, “That old fool! He’s peeing in the refrigerator again!”

homes Painting . . .
tips & techniques for your holiday project
Do you have a love - hate relationship with paint? Well, most of us love the look of a freshly painted room, yet few of us truly enjoy the process of painting. There are simple ways to make the painting process a bit more pleasant. Prepare -- The painting will be easier if you assemble work tools ahead of time. Set up a tools station (center of the room) with all materials needed. Move out Furniture -- Move everything out of the room whenever possible or place in center of room and cover with plastic sheeting taped in place. Remove Hardware --Painting “around” objects can sometimes leave odd circles, paint ridges, and drips. So bring in a couple of screwdrivers or an electric drill and remove knobs, hinges, door handles, switch plates, and outlet covers.

Dress the Part -- Remove your watch and jewellery, wear old comfortable clothes. Choose slip-on shoes so you can quickly step out of them when you need to leave the room. Keep a clean rag on hand to clean up any messes/drips.

Prep Work -- Plan a day for prep. Lay drop cloths, patch cracks and holes, and tape off windows, doors, or trim if desired. Cover light fixtures with large plastic bags. The next day can be designated as painting day. Wall Problems -- Visit a hardware store/ home center for any particular wall issues on your walls. There are many innovative products/ solutions available to fix less than perfect walls. Look for fiberglass tape for plaster cracks, hole patches from door handles. And sand textures to match repaired sections to existing wall finishes. Cleaning Up - Invest in a 5 gallon pale and buy yourself a good brush holder that inserts inside your pale. Half fill your pale with water, just your brush bristles should be in the water. With your brushes facing down the paint will run off and there will only be a bit of pigment left on the bristles, just rinse off before use. For rollers, buy a bulk bag of rollers and a some good quality handles and extension sticks. You can also buy lids to cover the rolling tray so your paint won’t dry out for weeks. Choice of Paint – Remember to choose the right paint for the project. We choose Cloverdale’s Eggshell Latex 03240, ideal for almost every room in your home, a great choice for combining washability/ durability while minimizing the appearance of minor physical surface imperfections.
Some jobs are better left to Professionals Painting is definitely one of them

Food & Wine Pairing Christmas
Christmas supper sing with wine matches that compare and contrast For the flavours. For roast meat with a caramelized edge like turkey, goose, or duck opt for rich red wines such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel or traditional Claret. White wine works well as a contrast to roast meat, so try a chilled, crisp Sauvingnon Blanc or a delicate buttery Chardonnay.
Room For Dessert? Dessert calls for a change of pace, and that goes for the wine too. Team traditional Christmas pudding, with wine such as a Muscat or Sauternes
After Dinner Drinks Keep up momentum with a lip-smacking port to have with your cheese board. A Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) or 10-year-old Tawney are both wonderful pairings for strong cheeses Happy Hour Christmas cocktails are a fun way to keep the party going. Hot cocktails such as mulled wine or warm cider punch are both great winter warmers. Incorporate festive colours and flavours in to your drinks with a vodka, martini with a cranberry kiss, pomegranate shots, or Prosecco Royale. vodka martini with a cranberry kiss, pomegranate shots, or Prosecco Royale.
Don’t forget the Wine...
