Daves' on the move Mid September is the anticipated move date for Daves Bakery to move into bigger and renovated premises at Willows Market, Willow Point. The existing restaurant that was once Comfort Zone has been completely guttered back to the bones, plus an expansion that will transform the space into a rustic market style European bakery. The new spacious bakery has lots of room for bakers to bake to perfection, decorators to be creative and of course customers to sit in a traditional style bakery and cafe with the smell of oven fresh bread and hot pastries wafting through the rafters. Mmmmmm!! The new location will have inside and outside seating up to 29 seats. After the two Dave’s have figured out their new baking dance, there will be lots of bakery and menu enhancements that will gradually be introduced, all the favourites just more. David Placek and Dave Williams are the two owners of Dave’s Bakery which has risen to fame over the past five years. The two Dave’s tell me that they have simply ran out of room, with more orders for speciality products and custom orders they just couldn’t fit any more ovens or supplies into their current small location. “Customers will be able to sit in a more relaxed and spacious open bakery style” said Placek. The open style will still enable customers to watch how all the goodness is made without being cramped. The new location just 600 yards south into the Willows Market complex will make a fabulous addition to Willows Market and the other surrounding retailers. Written by Cathy Kaardal
