Together Forever We love weddings here for all of the best reasons: the hopeful spirit of the entire day, the family bonds in full bloom, and the romantic love that sings through the air, catching everyone in its joy. That special love is usually on full display on the wedding day, when all are at their best, quaffed, shined, and polished. It’s one reason why wedding photos are so cherished. Finding an image that captures the sheer joy of the ceremony’s deeper meaning is rare, but we saw it all in this year’s extra-special wedding of Natalie Britvich and Luke Blanock. The young couple dancing down the aisle, flanked by cheering family and friends says it all. Luke, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, passed in August, surrounded by those same loving family members and his bride. His cousin and WHIRL’s advertising production manager, Alexandra Meier, kept us updated on Luke and Natalie in her own beautiful style, and made sure we all knew what was going on, always upbeat and optimistic. That spirit runs through the entire family, as exemplified by the emphasis placed on finding true love and sharing it with the world. That is the most important reason for living. Here’s to your beautiful life! Christine and Jack Tumpson

A Wedding That Wows Let our experts help guide the way to wedding day bliss BY ANDREA BOSCO STEHLE, RACHEL JONES, MAGGIE MCCAULEY, + LIZ PETONIAK
Vintage Vibes Brides trying to achieve that perfect vintage look for their wedding day are now searching for inspiration from around the world. “The vintage vibe is not going anywhere anytime soon, but brides are starting to put their own interesting twists on it,” says Trish Derry, owner of Vintage Alley Rentals. Moroccan flair is a trendy way to add cultural touches to a vintage big day, says Derry. She suggests utilizing an array of candles, paired with dark hues, and bold, rich florals to bring warmth to the décor. Currently, brides are using vintage rugs as aisle runners, and antique fixtures and unexpected colors to follow through with the theme. Razzle Dazzle ‘Em As the wedding world continues to see white, cream, ivory, champagne, and blush linens reign supreme, set your spread apart with an extra dose of shine. Ed Amori of Lendable Linens says adding a second layer or “topper” increases dimension and interest. And, there’s nothing wrong with a little sparkle. “Brides still ask for a bit of ‘bling’ on some of their specialty tables — the escort card table, the cake table, and even the ubiquitous Pittsburgh cookie table,” Amori says. Sequin in gold, silver, rose gold, and champagne are popular ways to put the spotlight on the spaces. And if you’re sitting at a trendy communal or “king’s table” with your bridal party, go for a simple, glittery table runner! Lendable Linens, 3253 G. Old Frankstown Road, Monroeville. 724.325.5555. lendablelinens.com.
HEAD-TO-TOE BEAUTY At Posh Salon, wedding season runs year round, offering brides and their ‘maids a one-stop beauty salon for all of their needs leading up to the big day! “We do wedding parties almost every weekend, and we love making our posh brides feel special,” says owner Lisa Martin-Campbell. From hair color, cuts, and treatments, to waxing, spray tanning, extensions, lashes, makeup, airbrush, manicures, and pedicures, Posh salon does it all. “Our hair color, L’Oréal Professionnel, is the best. We’ve been doing a lot of balayage for softer, more natural highlights. We see a lot of brides who love to be brightened up with some face-framing pieces to enhance their natural look,” she says. “We also have brides who want to be all dolled up, and I love that we’re able to achieve every look!” And, while you’re visiting, pick up a few Kérastase products, like the V.I.P. Volume in Powder Dry Volumizing and Texturizing Spray or the Laque Noire Extra-Strong Hold Hairspray, to ensure your style stays beautiful all day! CHIC SWEETS For a truly elegant dessert spread, do as the French do! Lori Rongier, coowner of Gaby et Jules, shares three ways to incorporate the authentic French patisserie’s sophisticated and tasty treats into your big day:
1. Demi-cakes Gaby et Jules recently unveiled stunning demi-cakes. “These are miniature, tiered wedding cakes that serve 35 people,” explains Rongier. “The idea is to order several and create a beautiful display by placing them at different heights.” Couples can customize their cake(s) with a variety of fillings, from decadent chocolate to light, fruity flavors.
2. Macaron Collection “We can customize a beautiful palette of delicate macarons for any season or color scheme,” says Rongier. The incredibly cute and versatile treats can serve as centerpieces, favors, wedding shower cakes, and bridal party gifts. “Some non-traditional brides will even have full macaron towers in lieu of wedding cakes, as they provide an elegant, gluten-free option.”
Share Your Story You’ve customized everything from the cake topper to the soles of your shoes — why not your ceremony, too? Pat Carver of Perfect Promises says more couples prefer personalized and customized ceremonies that reflect their unique love and can be celebrated in an array of venues. Guests will get a better sense of who you are as individuals and as a couple through anecdotes about your lives, poems that speak to your relationship, and even family traditions, which can all be woven together to create a memorable way to tie the knot. Carver, an ordained minister and trained lifecycle celebrant, can even suggest cultural rituals that will add to the ceremony and reflect what’s important to you. “Even if they don’t necessarily want their wedding in a church or synagogue, they do want that traditional feel,” she explains. This can be achieved by doing a rose exchange, lighting a unity candle, or even performing a Chinese tea ceremony — anything that focuses on the couple in the spotlight that day. “I love sharing their stories,” Carver says. “You get to be with them on the happiest day of their lives.” Perfect Promises, 412.865.9474. perfectpromises.net.

LOVE FOR ALL Finally, everyone who’s admired the beauty of Heinz Memorial Chapel is able to be married at the historic Oakland landmark. Prior to this year, couples looking to hold their ceremony at the chapel were required to have a University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, or Heinz affiliation. “We made the decision to open it up to the world,” says Assistant Director Wendy Lau. “We’re also excited to announce that we now accept reservations for up to two years in advance for those who are planning further ahead.” Bookings at Heinz Chapel include your rehearsal and wedding time in the chapel, a chapel organist, two coordinators to assist at both the rehearsal and the wedding, and reserved parking for the day of the wedding. But, don’t let the word “chapel” throw you off. This beautiful venue welcomes all kinds of ceremonies — all denominations (or any combination of denominations), gay and straight, and civil. Plus, University of Pittsburgh alumni and active or retired members of the military now receive a 15 and 20 percent discount on bookings, respectively. There’s never been a better time to say “I do” at Heinz Memorial Chapel! Heinz Memorial Chapel, 4200 5th Ave., Oakland. 412.624.4157. heinzchapel.pitt.edu.
Get Naked The “naked cake” is all the rage for fall, according to Bob Sendall of All in Good Taste Productions. What makes a cake naked? “Their inside-out nature. The icing is layered within the cake, instead of around it. This leaves room for bright flowers and beautiful fruits to take the spotlight,” says Sendall. Great for any type of wedding, its natural look allows a canvas for creativity with fresh flowers, fruits, and succulents, for a vibe that can range from rustic to incredibly polished. She says, “Let your creativity be the icing on the cake!” All in Good Taste Productions, 1520 Monterey St., North Side, 412.321.6869. allingoodtasteproductions.com.

COMING HOME Leading up to your happily ever after, there’s lots of exciting decisions to be made, like where you’ll say I do, where you’ll honeymoon, and where you’ll live together. Many couples debate the pros and cons of buying or building, and with the new green options available in Pittsburgh, the scales may be tipped towards building. As the only local custom builder offering LEED’s seal of approval, Terra Building Group is proving that going green and building new is more than just good sense — it’s actually both beautiful and cost-effective. Especially when considering the average house in Pittsburgh is 125 years old and the cost of upkeep involved on an older home, including inevitable and unexpected repairs, renovations, and higher utility bills, the savings of building a new green home are even greater in the long run. And, the result will be a home that’s just as you want it, without the added cost, stress, and inconvenience of living in a construction zone. Whether you seek suburban, city, or rural, Terra offers a number of options to build a home custom-made for your needs and your tastes, from creating your dream kitchen or bathroom, to the ultimate man cave or walk-in closet. “Our goal is to give the ‘wow factor’ when homeowners and guests walk in the front door,” says president Brett Robinson. “The misconception is that green homes aren’t sexy or luxurious, that you’ll have to sacrifice design choices, or that they’re too high-brow — and that’s simply not the case. We’re able to construct luxurious homes with high-quality materials for the same price, and usually a lot faster than those that are traditionally built.” Homeowners also benefit because in addition to passing city and state inspections, a LEED home must also pass rigorous third-party inspections and performance tests by a LEED accredited agency. However, LEEDcertification isn’t required to enjoy the quality or savings of a healthier, more energy efficient home. While homes start at $259,000 for 1,850 square feet, and brand new homes and lots are already available in desirable neighborhoods like Mt. Washington and East Liberty, Terra is a custom home builder first and foremost that’s willing to go as green and as high-end as the homeowner desires. Typically, the homes will perform 20 to 30 percent — sometimes up to 60 percent — more efficiently, bringing great savings in utility and maintenance costs, and a higher resale value for the same cost as an older, existing Pittsburgh home, or a conventionally built one. Plus, with Terra Building Group, you can rest easy knowing that your home was built using the latest technology for energy efficiency, healthy, indoor hospital grade, clean air (a huge draw for starting families and those with allergies), and safe electrical circuits, all under a two-year warranty. Sounds like a win-win to us! Terra Building Group, 412.533.3004. terrabuildinggroup.com. Photograph from Terra Building Group

Tailored to You
INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION There’s something so stunning about the juxtaposition of dainty, glitzy elements against a raw, industrial setting. The creative combination makes a bold statement and adds a different dimension to your reception space. Jody Wimer of JPC Event Group recently created a similar ambiance at a Carrie Furnace wedding, placing sequin table coverings, glimmering chandeliers from Luxe Creative, and soft, white and green florals and branches from Garnish Event Design in the “dirty” blast furnace. The exposed brick, graffitied walls, and metal chairs in the venue balanced out the glamorous accents for an “industrial woodland” vibe. “It’s just a very unique combination and something you are seeing on the West Coast slowly edging its way here to the East,” Wimer says. “That trending mix of modern, industrial urban with rustic, mid-century is exactly what weddings like our Carrie Furnace production embodied.” JPC Event Group, 700 River Ave., Suite 317, North Side. 724.654.6851. jpceventgroup.com.
Make a statement on your big day with a dashing ensemble that’s just for you. Designer and seamstress Amanda Vereb, owner of The Iron Horse Atelier, provides spot-on alterations for brides and grooms and can even create something completely custom, specializing in ties, bow ties, veils, and headpieces. A fashion design graduate from Philadelphia University and a seamstress for a well-established local bridal salon, Vereb started sewing at age three, under her great-grandmother’s guidance, and has been devoted to the craft ever since. Developing her aesthetic over the years, she describes her style as “clean with an edge” and inspired by masculine details in addition to fabric and texture. She says, “My tailoring is very detail-oriented and high-quality. It’s about perfecting the gown to your body, and I’m open to a lot of suggestion!” All of her fittings, whether for alterations or professional consultations for custom accessories and garments, are completely personalized at her atelier, newly opened in Lawrenceville. “I’m here to make your dress fit like a glove and to make your day beautiful!” The Iron Horse Atelier, 5144 Butler St., Lawrenceville. 412.956.0957. theironhorsepgh.com
HOW SWEET Eating dessert is fun on its own, right? Well, interactive dessert stations take it to the next level! Amanda Byrne of Bella Christie & Lil’ Z’s Sweet Boutique says loved ones will be in awe as made-to-order treats are created right before their eyes with incredibly innovative techniques. Popular stations include the Lil’ Fried Pie á la Mode Station and the Liquid Nitrogen Station for frozen cocktails and ice cream bars, but the Spherical Meltdown is a new favorite. “Hot, gooey caramel is poured over a delicate chocolate sphere, which melts away like magic to expose a delicious dessert inside,” she says. Keep the sweet streak going by gifting guests with mini cakes, adorable favors that can be enjoyed even after the festivities conclude. SOPHISTICATED SLEEVES Call it the Kate Middleton effect — sleeves are still more popular than ever in the bridal realm! “Even though I don’t see strapless gowns going away, seeing all of the beautiful sleeved styles, whether they’re lace, sheer, beaded, or embroidered, is so refreshing to me,” says Greg Cherico, owner of Anne Gregory for The Bride. The bridal salon has just received tons of new styles from Spanish line Rosa Clará and Italian-made Eddy K (which makes its debut at the salon this fall!) featuring stunning sleeves that range from sophisticated and subdued, to sleek and sexy, and everything in between. And, for brides who seek more versatility in their gown, Anne Gregory offers plenty of customized options to create a beautiful, yet functional look for the big day. Says Cherico, “We recently did a custom lace ball gown for a client. It was strapless but we made a beautiful, long sleeve lace shrug for her to wear at the ceremony, and added beaded straps for the reception.” Talk about having it all! Anne Gregory for The Bride, 2975 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont. 412.531.3160. annegregorybrides.com.
A Work of Art It’s time to step up your guest book game! Instead of asking loved ones to sign their best wishes in an actual book, which may spend the rest of its days on a shelf, opt for an interactive painting. Paint Monkey specializes in the art, creating a painting based off a photo of your choice, your wedding invitation, or a custom design in a faux frame that guests can sign. “It’s very unique, and you’ll be able to display it in your home to remind you of your big day,” says Mary Lou Bradley of Paint Monkey. The artists can even set you up with a community painting, which invites guests to paint part of the final piece and leave their artistic mark on the memorable occasion. Paint Monkey, 100 43rd St., Studio 212, Lawrenceville. 412.770.4923. 1301 Freedom Road, Cranberry. 724.900.0150. beapaintmonkey.com.

Back to Basics When it comes to cookies, the classics are classics for a reason. “Brides are going back to selecting the oldfashioned cookies,” says Deanna Soost, owner of Good L’Oven Cookie Shop. “They’re more focused on flavor over fanciness, and they’re not so caught up in the color-matched cookie table.” Good L’Oven bakes staples like chocolate chip, sugar, and thumbprint cookies “just the way Grandma does,” which means they’re fresh, never frozen, and made using quality ingredients. Plus, Soost is always experimenting with new flavors and ideas, like raspberry shortbread with white chocolate, chocolate pretzel cookies, and handmade ice cream sandwiches. She’s excited to work with brides to create swoon-worthy treats customized to their personal tastes. “I also think brides are spreading the cookie table tradition to their destination weddings,” she says. With cookies this good, why wouldn’t you bring them along for your big day? Good L’Oven Cookie Shop, 419 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. 412.616.1251.

NEXT GREAT BAKER Prantl’s Bakery, home of “The Greatest Cake America Has Ever Made,” according to The Huffington Post, has big plans for the future, elevating its impressive cake designs and the national distribution of the famous Burnt Almond Torte. These plans include bringing in new faces, like Jeff Pastor, a Greensburg native, who joined the Prantl’s cake design team as the lead cake designer, and opening a new location in Greensburg for the 2016 holiday season. “We are also looking into creating a design studio, visible to the public, along with a retail location in a prominent Pittsburgh location,” says Melissa Kosheba Passafiume of Prantl’s. One thing’s for sure, we will be first in line to watch the bakers create their beautiful masterpieces! Let It Shine While classic wedding save-the-dates and invitations are always beautiful, many couples are going beyond the gold on ivory for announcing their big day. “Foils are still so popular, but now it’s much more than just gold or silver,” says Amy Bass, co-owner of Nota Bene. “Rose gold and copper foil on colored papers like gray and navy are popular for fall.” Additionally, couples are getting even more creative, choosing to place foil on top of digitally printed designs. “The combination is exquisite,” she says. Watercolors and letterpress printing are also proving to make a beautiful pair in many of the paper boutique’s newest invitations, and couples are taking it one step further by ordering additional paper goods to use throughout their big day. “Straw tags, match boxes for lighting cigars and sparklers, menus, and programs — anything couples can carry their monogram or theme through,” says Bass. We think it’s a beautiful way to make your mark! Nota Bene, 9 Brillant Ave., Aspinwall. 412.782.6300. notabenepaper.com.
SEASON’S EATINGS Celebrate the season you’re getting married in by planning cocktail hour and dinner menus that reflect its offerings. Spring and summer nuptials call for light, refreshing plates, while autumn and winter weddings do better with hearty, comforting options. For the fall, Stacy Soller, assistant events coordinator at Common Plea Catering, says fresh root vegetables are the way to go, as showcased in the chef’s colorful baby beet salad with goat cheese. “This salad has become increasingly popular with our clients.” Common Plea Catering, 2945 Smallman St., Strip District. 412.281.5140. commonplea-catering.com.

With each wedding season comes fresh dress collections for brides and bridesmaids. Lucky for all, there is an endless array of options for women and weddings of all styles. Expert on all things current and bridal is Bridget Pope, owner of Bella Bridesmaids Pittsburgh, who recently added Theia Couture, a part of Monique Lhuillier, to her offerings. “The collection is definitely capturing both the ethereal look with several romantic tulle styles, but also tackling sequin,” she says. Sequin is still having a moment and many designers are bringing on the bling. “Amsale's matte sequin styles are true chameleons as they can be worn with black-tie, but we've also mixed them in with a neutral palette of chiffon and romantic prints,” she says. Soft neutrals, like blush, are here to stay as the color can be styled so many ways, both casual and formal. She’s seeing others, like champagne, ivory, fawn, latte, gray, and sage, join the rosy hue. “The look is still romantic, but it's nice to see the trend move away from pink,” she says. One designer in particular continues to raise the bar, redefining today’s bridesmaids. “Jenny Yoo is well known for her soft, romantic hues and her new prints are a lovely complement to that,” says Pope of Yoo’s Fall 2016 Collection. “Jenny Yoo's line is geared toward mixing and matching, whether it be color or style, or both! The collection features a variety of flattering dresses and separates in complementary colors, so it is easy to achieve that perfect but unique bridal party look. Dresses, skirts, camisoles, and even sweaters — you name it, they have it. And, best of all, they can be worn again (You should see my closet of Jenny Yoo at home…).” Bella Bridesmaids Pittsburgh, 1752 N. Highland Road, Upper St. Clair. bellabridesmaids.com/locations/ pittsburgh. 412.854.4422.
Branching Out June used to be the most popular wedding month, but these days, it’s taking a backseat to the cool, colorful months of autumn. Along with these fall wedding dates come décor that reflects the crimson, marigold, and golden foliage and often involves Indian corn, gourds, and pumpkins. Jim Price, owner of Cuttings Flower & Garden Market, suggests expanding the theme by using creative centerpieces and cake toppers that bring a little more to the table. “We like to mix things up by adding pinks, peaches, and purples to the mix, as well as an abundance of berries, branches, vines, and seasonal fruits, especially pomegranates and persimmons,” he says. Adding the fun textures and wider range of hues creates a unique, well-rounded atmosphere that will make you fall in love all over again! Big Day Beauty Make your big day the best day ever by feeling truly confident in your skin. Sometimes, this takes more than just a trip to the salon, which is why Aestique Plastic Surgical Associates & Spa offers three tiers of bridal packages — Silver, Gold, and Platinum — that can start up to a year before your wedding date. Each one begins with a consultation with one of Aestique’s highly experienced physician assistants or nurse practitioners, along with an aesthetician, to determine which non-invasive procedures and spa treatments are best for you and your goals. “Our team has so much training and experience, and they’re able to really personalize a package for the bride, offering a timeline for services that are best done a year out from their big day, a few weeks before, and the day of,” explains Spa Manager Michelle Haire. Whether it’s laser hair removal, Botox, spa or clinical facials, body scrubs, gel manicures, lashes, or day-of makeup, Aestique’s packages offer the works, bundling services for a comprehensive plan. And, those seeking plastic surgery procedures commonly requested by bridesto-be, like breast enhancements and lifts, rhinoplasty, liposuction, or fat transfer, can rest assured in the expertise of Aestique’s Dr. Theodore Lazzaro. As one of Western Pennsylvania’s leading plastic surgeons, he’s helped countless brides build confidence and self-esteem by creating the natural, beautiful appearance they desire. “It’s all about the bride feeling confident in her wedding gown,” says Practice Manager Briana Kane. “There’s nothing more beautiful than that!” Aestique Plastic Surgical Associates & Spa, 1 Aesthetic Way, Greensburg. 724.832.8266. 5989 Centre Ave., Shadyside. 412.345.0061. aestique.com.

LOVE in FULL BLOOM BY RACHEL JONES PHOTOGRAPHS BY MICHAEL FORNATARO STYLING BY ALYSSA OTTO FLOWERS PROVIDED BY DESTINY HILL FARM AND PARKWAY FLORIST
A
s beautiful flowers from Destiny Hill Farm and Parkway Florist filled the WHIRL studio for this photo shoot, we couldn’t help but smile. Flowers have that ability, you know — to convey love and happiness in a gentle way that radiates from sight to scent. They are also the perfect way to enhance the atmosphere on your wedding day. Whether you’re creating a vintage vibe with a textured centerpiece of wildflowers, staying sophisticated with a modern bundle of calla lilies, or going green with arrangements of branches and eucalyptus, your florals can add a lot to the ceremony or reception space. When choosing the best flowers for their big day, most couples focus more on color than variety. “Blush is very popular right now,” says Nancy Cameron, owner of Destiny Hill Farm. The soft shade can be the star of a light spring wedding or serve as a complementary accent to deep navy or burgundy bridesmaids’ dresses.
“Seasonality doesn’t really apply,” says Cheryl Bakin, owner of Parkway Florist. “You can really get any flower any time of year.” The only downsides to choosing blooms that are out of season in the area are the increased prices and risk of damage during shipping, as those must be purchased out of state or out of the country. It’s just like shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables — while you can find them any time of year, the most cost-efficient and vibrant varieties are enjoyed when they’re in season locally. On the following pages, you’ll discover a garden variety of florals. The most popular types and colors for every month and every style are just around the corner. So, let’s go pick some flowers! While it’s crucial to document all of the elements that went into creating your special day, from the flowers and the cake, to the caring friends and family members who were there to celebrate with you, there’s one photograph that’s an absolute must-have. Undeniably, the most important picture is one that encapsulates the eternal love and happiness you share for each other, the one that you’ll frame and continually look back on years and years from now. “It was very humid on the day of Chris and Abby’s wedding at the Butler Country Club. They had a beautiful sunny afternoon for their outdoor ceremony, but later on it started to storm. After the rain passed, the lightning was still flickering in the distance, and we stole them away from the dance floor for a few photos by the pool. Abby ran quickly in her dancing sneakers so we could make the shot happen. I was hoping to capture a few shots of them in this spot because Abby was a competitive swimmer and actually broke a few records in that pool years ago. I admit, it was difficult to capture the strike of the lightning at the same exact time he picked her up, but after a few tries, we got it!” — Autumn Stankay, SkySight Photography
“J.T. and Melissa were a very fun-loving and emotional couple. We created some wonderful memories that they will cherish forever. I love this particular photo because it captures the true essence of the joy they felt on their very special day.” — John Lokmer, Lokmer Photography Inc.

They spent every second of that time laughing together, exchanging quick kisses, and soaking in the experience. While we were expecting rain all day, Mother Nature instead provided us with the most amazing sky, chirping birds, and beautiful views. Standing at the top of this mountain in West Virginia with these two beautiful newlyweds, absolutely in love, everything felt magical.” —Veronica Varos, Veronica Varos Photography

Cyndi climbed into position to take this photo while I was changing camera cards. I looked up to see her balanced on the very top of this huge brick wall and I almost had a heart attack! She then walked out to the center of the wall with all the grace of a ballerina. I quickly followed her up the wall, sans grace, so that I could hold onto her while she leaned out to get the shot. Definitely a favorite, and one I'll never forget!” —Tony and Cyndi Araujo, Araujo Photography

WW real weddings When thinking about her Cristiano Lucci gown, Shelley can’t help but smile. The lace detail, fit-and-flare style, and just enough bling were exactly what she wanted. Shelley’s bridesmaids brought the fall feel in coordinating red, orange, and yellow gowns.
The bride’s mom and bridesmaids surprised her with a celebratory number to “Dancing Queen,” complete with feather boas, in honor of Shelley recovering from a hip injury in time to hit the dance floor.
Shelley Magusiak & Sam Lanzino BY MAGGIE MCCAULEY PHOTOGRAPHS FROM STEVEN DRAY IMAGES
Mutual friends of Shelley Magusiak and Sam Lanzino schemed to set them up at their dog’s first birthday party — and it was puppy love at first sight! Two years later, Shelley and Sam planned a weekend getaway to Florida with Sam’s sister, Jen, and brother-in-law, Joe. Because of work travels, Sam flew separately from the group. “Little did I know that Joe (the soon-to-be best man) was in charge of picking up the ring and having it right next to me on the flight,” Shelley says. It all became clear when Sam presented the ring with a sweet proposal! The couple planned to celebrate their love in a cooler setting than their beachy engagement, opting for a fall wedding with a Saint Peter Parish ceremony and Sewickley Heights Golf Club reception. “We both wanted to have the traditional Pittsburgh wedding day — from the Catholic Mass to the infamous cookie table, but with an emphasis on my personal favorite season: fall,” Shelley says. One of her favorite memories from the day was kneeling at the altar with Sam. “He looked at me and said, ‘You are gorgeous,’ and grabbed my hand. In that moment, just looking at him, I fell in love all over again.” W

Alix Wiggins and Nate Hoylman always loved the idea of a New Year’s Eve wedding — both the symbolism of starting a new adventure and the party atmosphere. The fun started right away on their big day, as loved ones received a glass of Champagne while entering the New Hazlett Theater for the nuptials. After Nate’s uncle performed the heartfelt ceremony, where the bride and groom exchanged personal vows and participated in a traditional handfasting ceremony, Alix and Nate grabbed their own glasses of bubbly and joined everyone in toasting to the newlyweds and the New Year! The festivities continued with a salute to Pittsburgh’s finest purveyors. “We’re both in the service industry, so we wanted to have our products there and support friends who own local businesses,” says Alix, noting that her cheese from Wheel and Wedge and his beer from Roundabout Brewery were served alongside an array of local delicacies. “It was fun going through all the planning with friends and colleagues,” Alix says. “It really represented us.” Before the beautiful night ended, guests joined in the count down to the New Year and cheered as confetti rained over the crowd at midnight. “The DJ played ‘Auld Lang Syne,’ and the dance party got even crazier from there!” W

The Duquesne Club’s pastry chef whipped up a three-layer carrot cake, topped with gum paste orchids to end the celebration on a sweet note. “We love the City of Pittsburgh, so it was a no-brainer to [get married] in the mayor’s office with Bill Peduto performing the ceremony,” says Greg.
Greg Cherico & Brian Crouch BY LIZ PETONIAK PHOTOGRAPHS FROM JOHN COLOMBO
As the owner of Anne Gregory for The Bride, Greg Cherico has been helping Pittsburgh’s brides feel beautiful on their big day for more than 18 years. So, when his partner of nine years, Brian Crouch, announced their engagement at a dinner party amongst friends, the couple called upon their experience in the industry to create their ideal wedding! Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto officiated Greg and Brian’s private ceremony at his office, where the couple, who met on a blind date, exchanged vows and white gold and rose gold rings from fellow South Hills establishment Rossi e Rossi. On their way to the reception, the duo shared one of their favorite, surprising moments from the day when their wedding photo shoot Downtown took a hilarious turn. “A group of ladies who were complete strangers photo-bombed our wedding pictures!” Greg says. The good times continued at The Duquesne Club, where guests dined together and enjoyed a classic and intimate celebration, hosted by the couple’s friend, Jackie Rossi. And to conclude the festivities, Greg and Brian packed up their two dogs and headed up to Lake Erie, where they spent their weeklong honeymoon at their lake house along the shoreline. W

Kelli Giles & Evan Leja BY ANDREA BOSCO STEHLE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM CJK VISUALS
Kelli Giles and her college girlfriends were planning a reunion weekend, or so she thought, when she ran the Baltimore Half Marathon. Cheering her on were her boyfriend, Evan Leja; his parents and sister, who drove from Pittsburgh; and her parents and brothers of Annapolis, Md. They cheered even more when Evan proposed at the finish line celebration! Much like that race day, Kelli’s breath was taken away when she and Evan discovered Woodlawn Farm, Maryland’s first deeded estate, and knew it’d be the perfect spot for their nuptials. The couple invited 150 guests to the historic venue for a rustic chic wedding, decorated in shades of blue, ivory, blush, and gold with plenty of personal touches. During the ceremony, an unexpected storm rolled in, but left quickly, leaving a stunning, Southern sunset behind. W

Jennifer Bower & Cody Hoffman BY SIERRA SMITH PHOTOGRAPHS FROM GEORGE STREET PHOTO & VIDEO
When Jennifer Bower first met her future husband, Cody Hoffman, they exchanged numbers and planned to hang out again soon. After a few days of silence, she decided to reach out, only to find out he’d been trying to reach her, too — she had accidentally given him the wrong digits! “The rest is history,” says Jennifer. Six years later, the couple headed to the Point to take in the Christmas sights and celebrate Jennifer’s birthday. While she was busy taking pictures, Cody was getting down on one knee. “[It] felt like we were the only two in the whole city.” Nearly 200 guests joined the pair for their ceremony at Saint Sylvester Parish, followed by a rustic reception at the West Overton Barn. The beautiful space reflected the country couple’s personalities, from the adorably DIY-ed birch wood centerpieces to the peach and navy accents popping against the warm, wood-and-brick interior of the barn. Since Jennifer and Cody always tell each other, “I love you to the moon and back,” it was only fitting that their first dance would be to Luke Bryan’s “To the Moon and Back.” W

Even when Alexandra Brunory and Nicholas Kozak were in the “off ” stage of their “on and off ” 12-year relationship, they were never far from each other’s minds. “He was always my best friend,” says Alexandra, reminiscing about a breakup fueled by two different area codes that, of course, didn’t last. When the pair did rekindle their romance and ultimately planted roots back in Pittsburgh, an unexpected Fourth of July proposal launched their relationship to the next level — not that it hadn’t been on their minds before. “Like any girl that has access to Pinterest, I started planning my wedding before I was ever engaged.” Through pinning, Alexandra discovered her preference of rustic, garden weddings before adopting a color scheme of white, ivory, cream, gold, and forest green. A modest 140 guests attended the affair, which allowed the bride and groom to greet everyone without a receiving line. But it was before the reception occurred that left the biggest impact on Alexandra. “We didn’t do a first look,” she explains, ultimately deciding that her walk down the aisle was the night’s most memorable moment. “I cried, and nobody expected that! I’m not a huge crier, but seeing my husband made me cry.” Other sweet moments would of course include the tasty dessert spread, featuring cupcakes from a hometown favorite, and cookies contributed by family and friends (especially Nicholas’ mother!). The s’mores station at the onsite bonfire afterparty was just icing on the cake. “It was a really laid-back, fun day. We were able to really enjoy it.” W

Megan Markovitz & Jay Woodward BY ANDREA BOSCO STEHLE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM WEDDINGS BY HEATHER
One initial meeting over Thanksgiving break led to a big win for Megan Markovitz and Jay Woodward. Introduced by Megan’s brother, Jim, at the Backyard Brawl (the University of Pittsburgh Panthers versus the West Virginia University Mountaineers), the pair went on to date at Penn State, graduating a semester apart. Just after Megan’s graduation ceremony, Jay presented his future bride with a jewelry box. Inside was a dog tag for her soon-to-be new puppy. Much to her surprise, she flipped it over and saw “Will you marry me?” as Jay got down on one knee, ring in hand! The couple looked to William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” for bigday inspiration. The sweet ceremony at Holy Child Parish, Megan’s childhood church, preceded a romantic reception at Bella Sera, where the bride and groom saw their vision come to life with rich hues of deep red, purple, and gold. Glittering candelabras and abundant greenery created a warm ambience as their loved ones danced the night away. “I loved when we were pronounced as husband and wife,” says Megan. “It was such a sweet and surreal moment. After that, we were able to relax, enjoy each other, let loose, and celebrate!” W

Caroline Ford’s father always said she was going to run away to Ireland and get married. So when Caroline got engaged to Sean Regan, her father asked, “OK, where in Ireland?” “I said, jokingly, ‘Oh, I don’t know, Dad. How about Galway?’ To which he replied, ‘How about Dingle?’ We joked around with the idea while we looked for venues in Pittsburgh but couldn’t find one that could host our large families within a year’s time. So, Ireland it was!” The couple spent almost two weeks traveling throughout the Irish towns of Adare, Kinsale, and Dingle before their big day in the latter. Loved ones gathered in the quaint town for the beautiful St. Mary’s Church ceremony and the reception in the charming Ballintaggart House, a 300-year-old manor that Caroline says was “the best choice ever.” To contrast the rich landscape of The Emerald Isle, the bride chose a delicate, form-fitting lace gown and a soft bouquet of pink peonies and roses that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. “The wedding planning was the easiest thing I’ve ever done,” Caroline says. “The people in Ireland were amazing; so laid-back. I never stressed about a thing — just enjoyed myself and everything went perfectly.” W

Dan Burda & Steven Perrine BY RACHEL JONES PHOTOGRAPHS FROM MORGAN TRISKA One of Dan’s favorite memories was sharing the dance floor with his friend, Morgan Yoney. “The perfect example of why [the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation] is important was among everyone that night.”
Dan Burda and Steven Perrine did not want a traditional wedding — they wanted to make a difference. “In lieu of gifts, we decided to have a $50 per person donation to benefit the Western Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” Dan says. Almost 400 guests joined the festivities at Studio Raw Hair Salon, donating to the cause and embracing the dress code of white ensembles, with wedding dresses strongly encouraged. Everyone enjoyed the special ceremony performed by Dan’s twin brother and a family friend, the late-night pizza bar by Adrian’s Pizza, and the appearance by a special guest: Morgan Yoney. “She’s been very, very sick,” Dan says, “but sure enough, we see Morgan showing up in her wheelchair with three oxygen tanks strapped to the back. That was a highlight moment.” The celebration raised over $26,000 for the foundation, supporting patients, like Morgan, and fulfilling the couple’s dreams for their big day. “Genuinely, we wanted to make our day about sharing our love for one another, but we also wanted to use our day — especially being a gay wedding, which typically raises a lot of attention — to show that when two people love each other, that’s all that matters,” Dan says. “Let’s put this attention to a more important thing, like people who have a disease called cystic fibrosis.” W

Hannah reflected the elegant feel in a Cassandra gown by Sottero and Midgley, featuring a sheer back with lace details and a trail of buttons that lead down to the mermaid-style, tulle skirt. “It was beautiful and was actually the last dress I tried on,” she says. “My mom’s choice!” Hannah praises her parents and Chad’s for helping them plan a day they’ll never forget. “Remember that it’s you and your spouse’s day — it’s about marrying the person who makes you the happiest and brings out the best in you,” the bride says. “Look around and take everything in because it goes by so quickly!” W

Emily Linville and Erik Fargo had been dating for seven years when the two made plans to go biking after work one day. Unfortunately, their parade was rained on — literally — so they opted for a quiet night in instead. When Emily arrived home that fateful evening, Erik was waiting with an intimate proposal and a gorgeous ring. “I was speechless,” says Emily. “To the point where he actually had to repeat the question!” The couple wed at First Lutheran Church, where Emily’s grandparents had been married more than 65 years ago, before a reception at Destiny Hill Farm that exuded rustic elegance. “Both my husband and I enjoy the outdoors, so a traditional hotel ballroom didn’t match our personalities,” says Emily. From the burgundy gowns to the warm orange and yellow florals in the bouquets, the celebration’s colors flawlessly mimicked the beautiful fall day. For the couple, the day was all about their lives coming together as one, and their loved ones supporting them along the way. “I loved walking away from the altar and seeing all of our amazing family and friends who came to celebrate our marriage.” W

Washington & Jefferson College alumni Samantha Knapek and Bill Caruthers hit it off at their alma mater’s homecoming after graduation, and from there, took their love story to Pittsburgh. Their first date, dinner at Hemingway’s Cafe followed by a Pitt basketball game, lead to their engagement three years later at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, where Bill surprised his bride-to-be with a romantic proposal amongst the beautiful, tropical flowers, followed by a celebration with all of their family and friends! Not to be outdone though, the couple’s wedding day was equally special, as the incorporation of family traditions — like Bill wearing his grandfather’s wedding ring; Samantha walking down the aisle to her grandmother’s favorite song, the Hawaiian version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow;” and their Reverend saying her grandfather’s grace before dinner — made the elegant occasion at Fox Chapel Golf Club even more memorable. Family ties forged a strong bond between Emily Harper and Michael Hammel, who found love in an unlikely circumstance. Because their parents were friends, the two had known each other almost their entire lives, though Michael was five years her senior, and they reconnected when her father passed away. “My dad brought us together,” she says. “We started dating in the summer and have been inseparable ever since.” Two years later, Michael proposed at the end of their romantic fall vacation in Napa Valley, setting in motion the planning for their elegant, black-tie celebration. Emily’s late mother walked her down the aisle at First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, and a minister, who was a family friend, performed the ceremony. She says, “Right before, my mom and I had a moment where she told me that she and my dad loved me and that he was here with us, which is especially meaningful now to have shared those moments with her.” Emily and Michael made sure to take in every moment of the incredible occasion, celebrating their love with over 200 guests at the Omni William Penn Hotel. The love between Alexandra Krischke and Nick Pazzaglia could only be celebrated in an ultra romantic way — which is why they set LeMont Restaurant aglow with candles in almost every corner. While shopping for the perfect dress to fit the setting, Alexandra fell for a Morilee gown with sheer sleeves and a full, trumpet skirt. But when the staff at Mary’s Bridal learned candlelight would be a major component of the day, they encouraged the bride to add a Swarovski crystal-covered belt and veil to the ensemble. “They turned the lights down in the room like it would be during the ceremony and it gave me chills,” Alexandra says. “It was perfect.” The same could be said of the day overall, a formal, black tie-optional affair that turned out to be exactly what the couple had envisioned. “It was breathtaking to see everything we thought about and dreamed of finally come to life,” Alexandra says. “It was magical to see all of the details come together and sparkle. Carolyn Klasnick & Stephen Brooks BY SIERRA SMITH PHOTOGRAPHS FROM LEEANN MARIE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
Through nearly 10 years of dating, including four years of long distance and five years together in Pittsburgh, Carolyn Klasnick and Stephen Brooks finally decided to tie the knot. “We held out a little bit, to focus on ourselves,” Carolyn says, “but now we really know each other!” Because Carolyn works in the wedding industry as a videographer — she co-owns Post Script Productions — she wanted to celebrate their nuptials in a location that she hadn’t worked with before. “I wanted it to be my own,” she says. The modern reception at J. Verno Studios became the perfect space, personalized with centerpieces of snowy white florals mixed with greenery and bare branches, soft lighting, and metallic accents. Frank Sinatra’s “The Best Is Yet to Come” became the unofficial theme, even popping up on the couple’s cake topper, as it exemplifies what Carolyn feels it means to be married. “There’s so much out there, what a wedding ‘should’ look like,” she says. “But it’s not about what will impress everyone. You’re celebrating your marriage. It’s about what comes after, not about ‘the day.’” W

For Naval Flight Officers Sarah Davis and Eric Gunn, the wedding planning process was quite unusual. After Eric’s proposal on Sandbridge Beach, Va., the military couple planned their big day during many squadron detachments and a nine-month deployment. In fact, Sarah and Eric were only together five out of the 17 months they were engaged! After a whirlwind week spent in Pittsburgh choosing a venue, a few vendors, and a dress, the pair communicated using FaceTime while relaying information to their stellar team back home. “I was lucky to have my mom, sister, and our photographer, Tiffany, help me plan everything while I was deployed for eight and a half months on the USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Persian Gulf.” Sarah and Eric incorporated Navy traditions, such as a sword arch with their close friends outside of Saint Paul Cathedral following the ceremony, to reflect how close the Navy is to their hearts. At the reception, they shared their first dance to “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice. “We picked the song before I left for deployment and when I would miss Eric, I would listen to it and picture myself spinning around the dance floor in my dress.” W

The couple chose LeMont Restaurant for its stunning view of the city, which was replicated onto coasters for the guests take home as favors.
Rose Peluso & Mark Daday
“We wanted it to be more of a party,” Rose says, accomplishing the goal with a comfy lounge setup to set the relaxed mood.
BY RACHEL JONES PHOTOGRAPHS FROM NATE WEATHERLY PHOTOGRAPHY
A chance meeting at a party lead to a second chance at true love for Rose Peluso and Mark Daday. After nearly four years of dating, Mark popped the question with a little help from their cat, Coco. “He surprised me at Christmas by wrapping a red bow around our cat,” Rose explains. “Then, I saw something very sparkly.” Rose looked very sparkly herself on their wedding day, exuding luxurious elegance in her ornately detailed gown and complementing jewelry. Champagne-colored details glittered throughout LeMont Restaurant, which served as the ceremony and reception space, fitting the couple’s vision of a “Pittsburgh” theme. The breath-taking scenery at Mt. Washington added to the celebration in the city, highlighted even more so when a fabulous fireworks display lit up the night sky and shimmered over the rivers below. “We both love fireworks,” Rose says. “That was his surprise to me.” W

WW real weddings “Remember that the whole mood and tone of the wedding are reflected by the bride and groom,” says Carey. “Your wedding is the biggest party of your life — do what makes you happy and stay true to yourself.” The couple ended the night with a sparkler exit, an easy recommendation from the bride. “It makes you feel like a celebrity!”
Carey Szymczak & Ed Steinmetz BY ABBY DUDLEY PHOTOGRAPHS FROM STEVEN DRAY IMAGES
Carey Szymczak and Ed Steinmetz count themselves among the lucky ones who found — and kept — true love in high school. “We dated for 11 years before getting married,” Carey explains of their courtship. “I know, crazy, but time flies when you’re having fun!” Throughout the years, the Szymczak and Steinmetz families became totally blended, ultimately making Carey and Ed’s special day that much better. A romantic event at the Carnegie Music Hall — think “‘Great Gatsby’ meets ‘Wedding Crashers’” — was created with Carey’s attention to every detail. “With the venue being so formal, I wanted the arrangements very loose and full,” she says of the flowers, overflowing with greenery and touches of white buds. Simplicity endured throughout the entire reception, with gold accents complementing the venue. When it came time to toast, the bond between both families illustrated just how perfect the union was. “My dad, Tom, gave a wonderful speech before dinner and threw a curveball when he invited my father-in-law, Ed, up,” Carey says. “The crowd went wild and people loved that both fathers spoke. Our families have truly become one family.” W

After initially meeting at Boston University, Amy Magrish reconnected with her future husband, David Stone, at a Halloween party. Three years later, while living in Los Angeles, the couple retreated to Hawaii for some R&R. “A few nights into the trip, he surprised me with Champagne, chocolatecovered strawberries, and the most romantic proposal by ‘Bridal Falls,’ a waterfall at our resort,” says Amy. The pair called on wedding planner Shari Zatman of Perfectly Planned by Shari to coordinate their Pittsburgh nuptials. “She kept us on schedule of when to tackle each piece, making it so much easier,” she says. “She also helped us find the perfect vendors who were able to execute our ideas flawlessly, especially the florals and the band, which I never could have done alone!” For the newlyweds’ first dance, the studio e band perfectly performed Sonny and Cher’s “I’ve Got You Babe” and successfully kept the dance floor packed all night long. Whitney topped her ivory lace and peplum Essence of Australia gown with her mother’s veil from 1976. Whitney and Brandon exchanged vows before an intimate group of 25 family members before celebrating with 140 guests at the reception.
Yellow ranunculus, dusty miller, white dahlias, billy balls, and eucalyptus bouquets emulated the color scheme perfectly.
“I have a huge sweet tooth, so it was important that we got [the cake] right!” Whitney says. The couple found a winner in three tiers of yellow cake with white buttercream icing.

Whitney Ponczak & Brandon Livsey BY RACHEL JONES PHOTOGRAPHS FROM BREANNE KENT OF BNK PHOTOGRAPHY
Whitney Ponczak planned her dream wedding back in high school, as part of a class project where students chose their ideal details while sticking to a budget. Picking a groom wasn’t required, but Whitney had that, too. She and Brandon Livsey started dating during her junior and his senior year, and their love continued to grow for almost nine years. When Whitney’s mother found the old wedding binder while cleaning, Brandon, who had already asked Whitney’s parents for her hand, decided to incorporate the keepsake into his proposal. He left the binder on their kitchen table, and Whitney casually started flipping through it one day. “I got to the last page, and my engagement ring was tucked into the last page pocket,” Whitney says. “I turned to him and he was down on one knee.” The sweethearts finally made those dream wedding plans come true with a celebration decorated in sunny yellow and soft gray details, mostly crafted by the DIY bride. “I was so incredibly nervous for the day and for everything to go the way it should,” Whitney recalls. “As soon as I saw him, all the nerves were gone and I was able to relax.” W

Kelly McMahon & Sam Mignogna BY ANDREA BOSCO STEHLE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM LOREN DEMARCO
Kelly McMahon and Sam Mignogna were in seventh grade when they met at a school dance. Little did they know, they would share their first dance as husband and wife 10 years later to Dave Matthews Band’s “Steady As We Go.” As time passed, the friends started dating in college — with Sam attending the University of Pittsburgh and Kelly studying at Duquesne University — and were engaged three years later. The couple felt it was important to incorporate Sam’s alma mater into their wedding day, so they chose Heinz Memorial Chapel for their ceremony and later took photos in the Cathedral of Learning. Afterward, they invited their guests to the Omni William Penn Hotel for an elegant and traditional reception. “We instantly fell in love with the architecture in the lobby and in the ballroom,” Kelly says. The regal, metallic décor fit perfectly with the couple’s color scheme and added warmth to their fall day. For those planning a similar celebration, Kelly advises, “Take your time with wedding planning and enjoy the time you spend with your family. Our best advice would be to book a band that will keep the energy alive throughout the evening.” W

Jessica Pecyna & Daniel Murtha BY ANDREA BOSCO STEHLE PHOTOGRAPHS FROM ARAUJO PHOTOGRAPHY
Four years into dating, certified public accountants Jessica Pecyna and Daniel Murtha hopped on a flight to Paris, France, for a lovely Labor Day weekend getaway. The couple, who met while working in Pittsburgh, wasted no time catching a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. During a picture-perfect moment on the famous Pont Alexandre III bridge, Dan handed his phone to a tourist, who counted to three — before Jessica knew it, he dropped to his knee! They returned to Pittsburgh to say “I do” at Saint Paul Cathedral, where they attend Mass every week. Looking for something fresh and unique, Jessica and Daniel chose Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh for their reception. “We fell in love with the hotel before it even opened,” says Jessica. “The original structure with a new face in the ballroom really wowed us.” The day’s décor was equally impressive, incorporating elements of black, white, gold, and silver. “Mocha Rose and Soiree by Souleret were able to translate my Pinterest board dreams into a reality.” W

Before Kari and Brendon joined their guests at the reception, held inside the warehouse, the two popped a bottle of bubbly and shared a few quiet, intimate moments. The couple couldn’t decide on just one cake, so the bride’s aunt (who formerly owned a bakery) whipped up three naked-style confections for guests: vanilla, carrot, and red velvet.
The bridesmaids wore easy, breezy dresses in a wide array of colors, while the groomsmen sported suspenders and skinny ties.

Kari and her mother hand-picked all of the fresh flowers at Simmons Farm two days prior to the wedding.
The lyrics “Home could be the Pennsylvania turnpike / Indiana’s early morning dew / High up in the hills of California / Home is just another word for you” from Billy Joel’s “You’re My Home” feel all too familiar to Kari Evans and Brendon Rawlings. After the couple met at a Halloween party while attending the University of Pittsburgh, they moved to Philadelphia, spent time in Indiana, and then California before ultimately settling in Denver, Colo., the site of Brendon’s surprise proposal at a local fall festival. So when they tied the knot, the song was a natural choice for their first dance as husband and wife! The mutual friend who introduced Kari and Brendon officiated their ceremony at the historic Carrie Furnace, and 120 friends and family from their many “homes” joined them in celebrating, noshing on Polish fare like chipped ham, haluski, kielbasa, and sauerkraut, and imbibing in smokestack cocktails. Says Kari, “We’re Pittsburgh through and through; we really wanted to showcase the city, and why we’re so proud to be from here.” W

Puppy Love BY RACHEL JONES • PHOTOGRAPH FROM RACHEL ROSSETTI PHOTOGRAPHY
T
o celebrate his hometown and introduce her out-of-town family to the city, Drew Donegan and Asia Lloyd planned the perfect Pittsburgh wedding at Heinz History Center. “It was nice to have everyone from out of town there, since I don’t have family here,” Asia explains. But there was one member of the family who could not attend the nuptials: Fritz, the bride’s dachshund-chihuahua mix. Asia rescued Fritz as a puppy eight years ago, so it was important for the couple to share their special day with him. “We really wanted him to be a part of the ceremony and be there at the reception,” Asia says. “But we weren’t allowed dogs in the venue.” Photos outside were OK, though, so Asia’s father picked up the pup from the couple’s Lawrenceville home and brought him over to the Strip District spot. Dressed in formalwear fit for the occasion, Fritz posed for some seriously adorable photos with the newlyweds and allowed Asia and Drew to finally commemorate the blissful day with all of their loved ones — even those with four legs.
