JTN TECHNICAL SERVICES
Visual Assets Guidelines
WHAT IS A BRAND IDENTITY? A brand identity represents the values, services, ideas and personality of an organisation. It is designed to increase recognition and build perceptions of the organisation in its chosen marketplace. This brand identity needs to be graphically represented and usually includes elements such as logos and supporting graphics, colour palette, typography, illustration and photography choices and can, within its guidelines, use examples to visualise how a brand should be depicted across various different visual media.
WHY USE THIS GUIDELINES? JTN Technical Services needs to manage how its brand is represented across all visual media in various different situations. The corporate identity system in this document has been created to fulfill this purpose and the guidelines here explain how to correctly depict and embody our brand ethos consistently across different applications and in various markets to maintain the integrity of JTN Technical Services.

Logo
The Logo JTN Technical Services corporate logo comprises two elements: the logo symbol and the logo type. The logo symbol represents a folded flat view of the letters J, T and N. The type has been carefully chosen for its modern and yet refined, highly legible style, which has been further enhanced by the use of upper case letters. The corporate logo is presented through the use of colour as well a shape and form. The two corporate colours are Navy Blue and Yellow. It is a fresh and appealing blend of colours chosen for their strong combination. The colours has been selected according to international standards, as shown below, and are easily implemented.

SECTION 01
Logo
JTN Technical Services tagline is descriptive. It is meant to translate as a marketing statement. The tagline should be applied in marketing publication/ communication.
13
VISUAL ASSETS GUIDELINES
The original form of the logo should be used mainly in official documentation.
SECTION 01
Logo
Construction & Clearspace It is important to keep corporate marks clear of any other graphic elements. To regulate this, an exclusion zone has been established around the corporate mark. This exclusion zone indicates the closest any other graphic element or message can be positioned in relation to the mark of the symbol itself and our company name — they have a fixed relationship that should never be changed in any way.
CONSTRUCTION
CLEARSPACE Whenever you use the logo, it should be surrounded with clear space to ensure its visibility and impact. No graphic elements of any kind should invade this zone.

SECTION 01
Logo
There is a right way and a wrong way to present the logo. Below are the basic rules:
Never change the propotions of the logo vertically or horizontally
Do not rotate the logo
If it’s unavoidable to sit the logo on a colour or a photo, use the negative logo
Do not use the negative logo on backgrounds that are too light or cluttered
Use of any stylised, animated, hand drawn or other versions of an unofficial logo is not permitted. This undermines the logo system and brand consistency. Please consult with JTN Technical Services Branding Manager if you have any questions or need further help.

Designer Brownfox
About the Font Geometria stands out in the crowd of similar fonts thanks to its complicated nature. It combines dynamic elements with a certain degree of stability. A slightly higher waistline of the capitals contributes to their distinctive appearance. If the upper case refers to the American grotesques of the 19th century, the lower case tends toward the forms of the Renaissance in its proportions. Geometria is a typeface of clean shapes that is well-suited for continuous reading, and it sets remarkably well. At the same time, it can be friendly, even flirtatious. Its distinct personality combines seeming opposites. At times it may appear serious, at times playful. On occasion, it may be deliberate, other times dynamic. It could seem rigid, then elegant. It is a typeface that could be perceived either as cutting-edge, or as nostalgic. A careful and discerning typographer will bring out and emphasize those aspects of its multifaceted personality that are needed to solve the problem at hand.

Typographic Hierarchy
SECTION 02
Typography
Typographic hierarchy is another form of visual hierarchy, a sub-hierarchy per se in an overall design project. Typographic hierarchy presents lettering so that the most important words are displayed with the most impact so users can scan text for key information. Typographic hierarchy creates contrast between elements. There are a variety of ways you can create a sense of hierarchy. Here are some of the most common techniques for JTN Technical Services layouts.

An icon is a pictogram displayed on a screen or print layout in order to help the user navigate through the content in a easier way. The icon itself is a small picture or symbol serving a quick “intuitive representation of the content. When creating an icon, always consider the final size they will be displayed at. Make sure the icons will hold up at smaller size, and at the same time looks good as an illustration when it is resized at a larger scale.

Grid System
In graphic design, a grid is a structure made up of a series of intersecting straight (vertical, horizontal, and angular) or curved guide lines used to structure content. The grid serves as an armature on which a designer can organize graphic elements (images, glyphs, paragraphs) in a rational, east to absorb manner. A grid can be used to organize graphic elements in relation to a page, to other graphic elements on the page, or relation to other parts of the same graphic element or shape.
