Safe Working at All Times

JTN is here to assure a person’s competency

Good Safety at the work site does not come from sitting in a classroom.

Good Safety comes from the skills and attitude exhibited in the period after the knowledge is gained in the classroom.

SWAT™ Passport

WHY A SWAT™ PASSPORT? The passport records a workers’ competence in the five main HSE topics which are critical to ensure a safe place of work. These topics are modular and are completed after a delegate has attended the company’s HSE induction. • • • • •

Module 1 — Identifying Hazards at the Worksite Module 2 — Conducting a Risk Assessment Module 3 — Being aware of the essential requirements of a PTW system Module 4 — Being aware of the need for positive isolation of energy sources Module 5 — Using all the above information develop and deliver an effective toolbox talk

HOW DOES A SWAT™ PASSPORT WORK? All delegates will be issued a personal SWAT™ Passport following their attending a company HSE induction or when attending their first SWAT™ module. On successfully completing a module, each delegate will have that module signed off by the relevant certified JTN instructor/ assessor. On successfully completing all five modules, each delegate will be issued with certificate of competence. HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY •

The company which has employed you is committed to protecting the Health and Safety of all personnel working or visiting their sites.

They will plan, manage, conduct and supervise all work in compliance with a legislation and best practice.

They will ensure that all workers have a clear understanding of their responsibilities along with that of the company.

CONFIRMING COMPETENCE The passport is ideal for confirming a worker’s current HSE competence. The SWAT™ Passport demonstrates that the candidates’ basic training is up to date. Security features include a photo, hologram, signature and JTN company stamp, meaning the passport is more tamper and fraud-proof than a certificate.
