WHITEHALL VINEYARD Whitehall Vineyard is an award-winning independent wine grower that brings a taste of rural Wiltshire from the highest quality grapes.

love of growing, a passion for wine and working with the land, set the Self family on a journey; to hand craft exceptional English wines from their home at Whitehall Farm. Since 1894 and for five generations, the Self family having lovingly worked the land at Whitehall Farm in Lacock, Wiltshire and it is now home to their award-winning vineyard. In spring 2017, 16,000 vines were planted by hand, one by one, covering a total of 11 acres. Situated in Lacock, overlooking the beautiful Avon valley, rich, fertile soils provide perfect conditions for growing. Rondo, Bacchus, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris grapes of the highest quality are cared for and nurtured by a small team. Wiltshire has a long wine-producing history, with vineyards in the county known to exist in Norman times. Today, sheltered by Nethercote Hill, Whitehall Vineyard strives to continue this rich heritage, whilst nationwide excitement grows around the rise of British wines. Since launching four years ago, Whitehall Vineyard has been awarded multiple medals across the full range of wines. Collecting seven medals in the 2021 Independent English Wine Awards, including Gold for the bestselling 2019 Pinot Noir, and six medals in the 2021 Wine GB Awards.
