You may have seen droves of people wearing grey, maroon and white, signs screaming our names and a whole bunch of festivity and fun if you were travelling past our new Entrance, Berkeley Vale or Tumbi Umbi offices at the end of May. Our grand opening events gathered crowds and team members from Umina, Gosford, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Mona Vale, Richmond, Five Dock and as far afield as Taree.

The Wiseberry Heritage, Charmhaven and Wyong teams this year were again selected as a finalist out of over 8,000 real estate offices in Australia. The Real Estate Business Awards this year were partnered by realestate.com.au. The gala awards presentation was held at the prestigious ‘The Star’ in Sydney. Unfortunately, this year we did not come home with any awards but are extremely humbled and honoured to have been finalists in four categories. Empower Seminar The word “Empower” can mean different things to different people. The Oxford dictionary defines it as the “ability to give someone the authority or power to do something”. Other definitions focus on the ability of empowerment to “Make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life”. The recently formed Wiseberry Foundation set out to make a change in the world, starting from the local community and the people that matter most. Ourselves. The influential comments and motivating viewpoint delivered from the highly regarded and respected Thomas Le Hoang sought to find the “click” that we all so deservingly seek and desire. But the day wasn’t just about empowering the community and individuals. It was a lesson in how to get the most out of life, our careers and for those of us looking for a change, the ability to take hold and predetermine our future. Thomas took the room through a journey of his life story and how he came from very little to be the wealth and happiness that he is today. He taught the room how to appropriately go after the jobs and careers we desire, how to pick ourselves back up after rejection and how to make ourselves the vehicle of our own success. From the importance of personal presentation, body language and resilience when making a career move, the work ethic and attitude needed to succeed through to the ability to actively reach goals, balance life and find the good in people. A wealth of knowledge was both spoken and respected during the day that was the “Empower” seminar. “Clicks” were made, lives were changed and the experience, skill and knowledge will continue as we all travel through this journey we call life.
